I admit, I laughed. I was also charmed by Bridgit Mendler as Meredith, Ben’s feisty hometown love interest.

It’s not as abrasively awful as the worst of Netflix/Madison projects (“The Ridiculous Six” still holds the standard), it’s just forgettable. It’s akin to a mediocre sitcom you might catch on network TV on a Monday night. You won't hate the experience of watching it, but you’ll forget you saw it before it’s even over.

"Father of the Year" é um filme estúpido e incoerente. As poucas risadas que soltamos durante a visualização não se devem propriamente às piadas, e sim, à terrível comédia. Perda de tempo.

I'll admit I did not make it all the way through. I couldn't imagine why, right off the bat, the two younger boys goaded their dads into fighting one another and then tried to stop it. Another bad idea translates to diluted comedy.

La producción más intrascendente de "Happy Madison" en Netflix. La premisa de la historia trata sobre dos jóvenes, Ben y Larry, que al hacer una última parada por su pueblo natal ha New York y el inicio de su futuro adulto, tienen la discusión de cuál de sus enclenques padres ganaría una pelea entre ellos. A partir de allí inicia la travesía que llevará a esta pareja a reconectarse con sus progenitores.
En general la historia esta muy mal elaborada, tiende a irse por caminos en todo momento, al igual que el humor y el tipo de comedia. Pareciera que la historia fuera un rejunte de ideas de compañeros de trabajo que nunca trabajaron juntos. En general la película saca una que otra risa, y solo se puede destacar el trabajo de Bridgit Mendler como Meredtih. En general una opción que no vale la pena la hora y media de duración.
