It serves as a great introduction to an important artist who was ahead of his time.

By focusing entirely on Zappa’s outlook on his own work and the way it related to the outside world, Schütte manages to form a tight narrative around this fascinating man.

Eat That Question does a good job of giving us just a taste of nearly every era in Zappa’s multifaceted career.

Schütte's film, which began with the cooperation of Zappa's late wife Gail and has the blessing of Ahmet and his sisters, Moon and Diva (but not Dweezil), lets him speak for himself.

It presents a captivating portrait of one of the era's greatest defenders of artistic freedom and a true American original.

Quotable, controversial, anarchic, charismatic and handsome (in an ugly way), the zany avant-garde rocker Frank Zappa had everything one needs to be a star, except talent.

The film’s most poignant moment comes in an interview that took place near the end of Zappa’s life. He’s asked how he wants to be remembered, and he responds, “I don’t care.” That doesn’t mean we don’t care, or that we aren’t allowed to care, but this isn’t the film to make us do it.

To all people like me that are into jazz and other interesting music but found Frank to be a little arrogant and over the top o'er the years and didn't care for his music/lyrics that much: See this film immediately, for nothing other, to find out more about this icon and his views about politics, culture, philosophy, family life, music education, and stay until the credits are over, to find out his views on voting. And to the "politically correct liberal" below who's giving the film a zero without actually seeing it. Lordy, you're in the same class with those conservatives who won't watch Michael Moore's films, but wanna trash them also. See the film first FCOL, if nothing else than to learn about a great historical figure and widen your mindset, because you need to!

Tagline:The musical message is a philosophical message, and it's very simple... You are never gonna please anybody else, so you might as well please yourself. (Frank Zappa)
