Against serene and haunting backdrops, the animation itself has a raucous energy that’s constantly thrilling, and leans into the children’s vulnerability as well as their high spirits.

The film is admirable for its patient commitment to unpacking the children’s feelings about each other, the building, and other relics from their pasts, all as they learn how to carry their attachments and memories to new places.

This is fantastic movie. I hadn´t great expectatios but I was really moved. It is a film underated, it deserves a greater score. I love it. :)

What can happen when you decide to explore an abandoned building? This plot, despite its ups and downs, knows how to convey the emotions of the characters, and with an almost melancholy ending. Studio Colores still needs a bit of practice to be close to the giants of anime.
