Dead Shot is a lean, myopic thriller that remembers the IRA wars against UK “paras” and special units as tit-for-tat violence that couldn’t help but turn “personal.”

Dead Shot is a film that shows its ingredients smoothly and they look adequate, and while the preparation wasn't inadequate, it fails to cook properly. The script feels authentic but, unfortunately, the direction doesn't have much to stand out. The foundations of something more compelling are clearly visible, however, as I mentioned earlier, the whole thing fails to come together. Problematically, the screenplay prioritized thematic exploration to the detriment of populating its narrative with well-developed and fully realized characters. This imbalance is what ultimately sabotages the film's attempts to evoke greater emotional resonance and excitement. I think you can give it a chance though.
