Simultaneously rowdy and slick, Buffaloed is exuberantly paced and entirely dependent on Deutch’s moxie and pell-mell performance.

With a screenplay by Brian Sacca, who grew up in the Buffalo area, Buffaloed is a showcase for the mega-talented Deutch, who tosses herself into the role like a maniacal fidget-spinner, all flash and charm.

Zoey Deutch is always fantastic, and this movie is her tour-de-force. Great supporting actor talent, as well. And how cool is it to finally see a movie set in Buffalo?

This movie had some really good moments and it was entertaining but some of the character pivots were very odd. Still liked it tho.

Thanks largely to the feisty Deutch, Buffaloed is a fun time, even if it’s about everybody’s least-favorite kind of phone call.

Buffaloed wants to package searing insights into the crooked world of debt collecting into a cutesy comedy, leaning hard on Deutch’s skills and far less on a script that’s unwilling to get nasty with its subject matter.

The filmmakers allow their characters to learn the usual humanist lessons, in the process eliding the ramifications of their scenario.

Zoey Deutch shows growth and she does it with good intentions but I have a little issue with her performance and that has to do with the fact that at times it cannot be denied that she borrows elements from what Leonardo DiCaprio did in The Wolf of Wall Street.
I hate making comparisons but it's kinda obvious. However that in no way excludes or diminishes the rest of her work and believe me when I tell you that her work is more than enough for you to see this film. Nothing extraordinary but slightly above average.
