Beauty shop is a heartwarming dramedy with an exceptional cast, intelligent script decent pacing and was clearly made with love from the production team. Essential viewing.

It was very hard to get into though I loved the stars that were in it. The plot was predictable.

As in the other two movies, the plot is a thin cardboard box used to carry an assortment of observational doughnuts--in this case, estrogen-fueled shop talk about race, men, and the politics of looking good.

This is just another attempt by Queen Latifah to make a funny movie, she definitely performs good in secondary roles but I have never seen any good movie where she is the staring actress. Average.
