A decent attempt by netflix, it lacks in story and intensity but theron and Egerton do a good job, it's never going to go down with deliverance as a classic but it's a decent attempt.

Enjoyable, even though it's absurdly ridiculous that any middle aged woman (OR man) would go alone to do such dangerous things (rock climbing, white water rafting, etc.) But I guess they needed this stupidity to set up the plot, so whatevs.

Good enjoyable movie. Taron and Charlize were both excellent with Taron giving off real creepy vibes. Yes the plots a bit thin however this does not claim to be some dark complex psychological thriller, its a 90 minute thrill ride to switch your brain off and enjoy the cinematography. Not sure what some people expect when they review these films, the next deliverance ? Worth a watch

It has everything that defines a Netflix original movie: a straightforward premise, big-name stars, and a structure that feels familiar. And, to be fair, it actually works. It’s the kind of movie you hit play on without thinking too much about it, and before you know it, it’s over.Charlize Theron handles the physical side of things well, while Taron Egerton comes across almost like a James McAvoy running through the jungle. The duo carries much of the film, especially during the chase scenes and moments of tension, which are where it really **** problem is when it tries to be more than that. The story is generic, full of clichés, and even flirts with something more psychological, but it never really delves **** the end, it’s quick entertainment. It works in the moment. It just doesn’t stick with you long afterward.

Many plot holes, too simple plot. Views re the best. Somehow like 90s mediocre movies.

A massive amount of potential wasted. This movie was sold as a survival thriller, but it lacks any real tension or high-stakes moments. The story moves at a flat pace with no major events to keep you engaged, making even a short 90-minute runtime feel incredibly long. While the cast is talented and does their best, they simply can't save an average product that doesn't deliver on its promises. If you are looking for excitement or a true thriller, look elsewhere.

I liked this film. The setting was great, the climbing and rafting appeared realistic. The acting was decent throughout. There was tension, the direction was good. I'd watch it again!

Nothing here really at all, no twists, slop action, directionless filmmaking.

A lone outback tourist encounters a sadistic psychopath. That's the essence of Baltasar Kormákur's film APEX. The natural scenery is as impressive as Charlize Theron's performance. And the staged manhunt in the middle of nowhere is fast-paced, even sensational. Nevertheless, the film lacks real narrative power, as the focus is solely on adventure action cinema without any real depth, and it doesn't always take realistic depictions too seriously. Anyone expecting a gripping drama set against a stunning natural backdrop and a serious exploration of the characters will be disappointed. However, for fans of pure action cinema, it's at least worth watching thanks to the lead actress.

As has now become customary, she's a 50-year-old top-model superheroine (Theron self-produced the movie), the other two are an expendable and a serial killer with no explanation. And so it goes. Not for me, though.

This movie is Average. Same old story, same old outcome. Tragic lost of a loved one, difficulty in coming to terms with it and remorse, the tragic development of history and the struggle for survival, victory against all odds and coming to terms with a loss. The script shows the end of the film at the very beginning of itself - the difficulty that the main character must overcome to survive. (Trailer of this movie is all you need to see tbh) Just another dust in the wind...empty calories for the mind

Strong setup. Limited impact. Apex comes in with a solid premise and just enough tension to keep you watching. It’s controlled, focused, and never completely falls apart—but it never fully takes off either. What works is the atmosphere. There’s a consistent sense of pressure throughout, and when the film locks into its rhythm, it shows flashes of something much stronger. But it plays it safe. The story sticks close to familiar territory, and you can feel it holding back when it should’ve gone all in. The result? Engaging, but not unforgettable. Final Verdict: Good enough to watch. Not strong enough to stay with you. Cinema wins. Mediocrity loses.
