Bad Boys8
Jun 26, 2026
An absolute powerhouse of a movie that offers a raw, unfiltered look at the juvenile crime scenario of 1980s America. Bad Boys brilliantly tracks the intersecting lives of two young criminals trapped in a vicious cycle of tragedy and revenge—showing how one ultimately strives for growth while the other consumes himself with hatred. The narrative build-up inside the correctional facility is excellent, creating a tense, gripping atmosphere that never bores the audience. Sean Penn and Esai Morales deliver top-notch, ferocious performances. The film culminates in a spectacular, emotionally powerful ending that avoids typical Hollywood cliches. A highly recommended, underrated gem.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High7
Jun 25, 2026
A classic coming-of-age movie that perfectly captures the essence, fun, and natural evolution of teenage life. Fast Times at Ridgemont High delivers great comedy and features a remarkably sharp, fast-paced screenplay that weaves multiple high school storylines together effortlessly. The humor stands the test of time, highlighted by Sean Penn's iconic and hilarious performance as the ultimate slacker, Jeff Spicoli. While the film is highly entertaining and never boring, it does occasionally lack consistent emotional depth; it tends to jump quickly between its serious teenage struggles and broad comedic gags without letting the heavier moments fully land. Despite that structural choice, it is an incredibly fun, culturally significant, and good watch.

True Lies8
Jun 25, 2026
A spectacular 90s classic directed by the great James Cameron that plays out like James Bond or Mission: Impossible meeting a chaotic married life. True Lies boasts a fantastic cast, delivering an incredibly fun ride packed with great dark comedy and highly memorable, catchy jokes. The screenplay is exceptionally fast-paced, balancing massive, explosive action set-pieces with hilarious domestic misunderstandings. While Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis have phenomenal chemistry, the villains are unfortunately the weakest link—feeling a bit cartoonish, generic, and underdeveloped. Despite the weak antagonists, the sheer energy, humor, and brilliant direction make this an absolute masterpiece of the action-comedy genre. Highly recommended!

Dear Frankie7
Jun 25, 2026
A great, emotionally charged drama with a very moving story about sacrifice, guilt, and connection. The movie handles its emotional core beautifully, leading to a conclusion that is both incredibly sad and wonderfully hopeful. However, the screenplay has notable flaws and could have been tightened. The film features a major plot twist regarding the characters' pasts, but the structural buildup to this revelation felt weak and abrupt. Additionally, the movie spends too much time on a slow romantic subplot that doesn't add much to the core momentum and could have been trimmed down to keep the pacing sharp. Despite these narrative flaws, the top-tier performances and powerful ending make it a thoroughly satisfying and good watch.

Casualties of War8
Jun 24, 2026
A deeply unsettling and powerful war movie that doesn't shy away from showcasing the most disgusting atrocities human beings can commit during wartime. Casualties of War brilliantly tracks the immense psychological suffering ****, moral soldier who is forced to stand alone against his own squad after they commit a horrific crime against an innocent civilian. Sean Penn delivers a truly menacing and great performance as the unhinged villainous sergeant. The screenplay is tightly written and highly engaging. My only minor critique is that the direction feels a bit too cinematic at times; a raw, darker, and more grounded documentary-style approach could have made the horrific subject matter feel even more intense. Overall, a masterpiece of acting and a great, heavy watch.

Masters of the Universe7
Jun 24, 2026
A fun, above-average summer blockbuster that ultimately fails to capture the true epic magic of the classic source material. The film starts with a great concept, but the execution falls short of the massive hype. Nicholas Galitzine gives a commendable performance as He-Man, and Jared Leto is highly entertaining as Skeletor, though his villainous character is ultimately underutilized and wasted by a weak script. Unfortunately, the rest of the supporting cast feels incredibly messy and lacks proper development. The film attempts a self-aware, dark comedic tone that doesn't entirely work, making the pacing feel uneven. While the action sequences ensure it won't bore you, it feels like a major missed opportunity. With its heavy underperformance at the box office, it is highly likely we won't see a sequel anytime soon.

I Am Sam8
Jun 24, 2026
A touching and memorable film that proves Sean Penn can truly handle any character he takes on. Playing an intellectually disabled father fighting for his daughter, Penn delivers a top-notch, deeply experimental performance that avoids caricatures and feels incredibly real. While the acting is flawless, the core story itself is quite typical and predictable. The screenplay is decent, but the film occasionally feels too long because the emotional beats are a bit inconsistent—sometimes they connect perfectly, and other times they feel a bit forced by the script. Despite these narrative pacing flaws, the incredible bond between the lead actors makes it a deeply satisfying and great watch. Penn is phenomenal.

Voicemails for Isabelle7
Jun 23, 2026
A really fun and emotionally engaging Netflix movie that serves as a great weekend watch. The central connection and romantic chemistry work beautifully, bringing a lot of genuine heart to the story. However, the film can feel quite messy at times; the screenplay occasionally struggles with its transitions, leaving a few scenes feeling disconnected or temporarily boring. Thankfully, the overall narrative pacing remains fast. Zoey Deutch gives an absolutely awesome, standout performance that completely carries the movie through its rougher spots. It has its structural flaws, but it is ultimately a very satisfying and good watch.

BlacKkKlansman8
Jun 19, 2026
An incredible, eye-opening film that handles a mind-blowing premise with intense drama and sharp direction. BlacKkKlansman does a phenomenal job showing the raw, dark reality of the Ku Klux Klan and how an undercover Black cop successfully managed to infiltrate them. However, as an Asian viewer looking at the history objectively, the movie lacks complete neutrality. While it rightfully exposes the horrors of white supremacy, it tends to romanticize the radical Black power movements of the era without fully diving into or exposing their more extreme, militant factions. Additionally, the satirical comedy aspects are a bit hit-or-miss and occasionally tone down the genuine danger of the situation. Despite these biased narrative choices, John David Washington and Adam Driver give great performances, making this a highly recommended, great watch.

Colors7
Jun 18, 2026
A gritty police drama that isn't about colors, but rather the devastating realities of street gang warfare and its destructive impact on communities. Colors acts as the perfect blueprint for the 90s hoodlum genre, portraying urban crime with brutal, unfiltered realism. However, the film is held back by a weak, unfocused screenplay. The narrative structure feels completely all over the place, drifting through disjointed events rather than a cohesive plotline. While the overall pacing feels quite slow, the tragic ending happens far too fast. What makes the movie highly watchable is Sean Penn's stellar, high-energy performance as a hotheaded rookie cop. Despite its writing flaws, it remains a good, memorable watch for fans of realistic crime dramas.

State of Grace8
Jun 16, 2026
An excellent way to return to watching movies after a long break. State of Grace is a powerful crime drama about an undercover cop who deeply struggles with his assignment because it directly betrays his childhood friend. The emotional weight and compassion he feels for his friend anchor the entire narrative. Sean Penn is fantastic as Terry, but Gary Oldman steals the show with a perfect, unhinged performance as Jackie. Their incredible bonding completely elevates the film. The only real flaw is that the screenplay isn't entirely smooth, featuring some rough edges and disjointed subplots that slightly disturb the viewing experience. However, the twists are great and the final act is spectacular. Overall, a great, highly underrated watch.

The Little Things6
Jun 12, 2026
With a powerhouse cast featuring Denzel Washington, Rami Malek, and Jared Leto, The Little Things had the potential to be a modern classic thriller. Unfortunately, the film completely fumbles its momentum with an incredibly slow, dragging screenplay that drains away all the thrill. The buildup to the mystery feels boring because the pacing is at a total crawl. While the final twist is genuinely good and offers a dark, psychological payoff, it comes way too late to save the movie from being incredibly average overall. Not recommended, especially for fans who are expecting dynamic performances from its lead actors.
Jun 11, 2026
The Banshees of Inisherin9
Jun 11, 2026
A brilliant 2022 masterpiece that blends sharp dark comedy with a deeply profound message about life, friendship, and loneliness. The story starts with a simple, jarring premise: a lifelong friend suddenly stops talking to another because he wants to focus on his art and his legacy before he dies. This creates a devastating chain reaction because the other friend has no one else to turn to and simply cannot move on. The movie beautifully tracks this emotional collapse. While it features great supporting characters—like his intelligent sister, his troubled young friend Dominic, and his beloved donkey Jenny—the narrative ends on a devastatingly isolated note where the protagonist is left entirely alone. It is a slow, deeply atmospheric, and emotionally heavy film that manages to be both hilarious and utterly heartbreaking. A true masterpiece.

21 Grams8
Jun 7, 2026
A deeply emotional and heavy movie about the cruelty of life, and how tragedy can completely destroy a person while forcing them to find a way back to living. 21 Grams beautifully interweaves the struggles, deep loneliness, and intense guilt of three broken people whose lives collide after a horrific accident. The non-linear screenplay is absolutely brilliant; despite jumping back and forth across different timelines, the narrative flow and runtime are incredibly smooth. The performances are as raw and powerful as it gets, with Naomi Watts, Sean Penn, and Benicio del Toro all delivering career-defining work. It is a profoundly sad, intense, and satisfying emotional watch that stays with you long after the credits roll.

U Turn7
Jun 7, 2026
An incredibly underrated 90s thriller that perfectly captures how a single bad day and a few poor decisions can completely ruin a life. Sean Penn delivers a great performance as a desperate man trapped in a bizarre desert town. The film shines brightest as a dark comedy, capturing a very surreal and fun atmosphere. However, the screenplay is average and the dialogue isn't particularly catchy or memorable. Additionally, some of the twists feel weak, and the deeper motives of the eccentric side characters remain frustratingly unclear. Despite these narrative flaws, the sheer, unpredictable energy of the movie keeps it highly entertaining. Overall, a good, underrated watch.
Jun 7, 2026
Hokum8
Jun 7, 2026
Arguably one of the best horror movies of 2026. Hokum is a masterfully crafted supernatural film that heavily honors traditional Irish folklore while delivering raw, skin-crawling terror. The atmosphere is so incredibly thick and dread-inducing that I found myself shivering even during the daytime scenes. The story builds up beautifully, delivering solid, unpredictable twists that keep you hooked. Adam Scott gives a career-best performance as Ohm Bauman; he balances a cynical, harsh exterior with a deeply tragic and sad past twist that gives the horror a massive emotional weight. The only minor flaw is that the physical presentation of the witch could have been more horrific and terrifying during the climax. Aside from that, it is a brilliant, atmospheric watch that handles tension flawlessly. Highly recommended.
Jun 5, 2026
Gangster Squad7
Jun 5, 2026
A stylish, entertaining crime film that ultimately misses the mark despite its massive potential. The star-studded cast is great on paper, but almost everyone is completely underutilized. Huge talents like Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, and Josh Brolin give surprisingly mid performances because the script doesn't give them any depth. Only Sean Penn stands out, delivering a wildly aggressive, over-the-top performance as the main villain. Visually, the action is sharp and the screenplay moves at a breakneck speed, but it completely lacks detail, making the plot highly predictable. Furthermore, the modern digital look and stylized cinematography prevent it from ever feeling like an authentic post-war period piece. It will definitely keep you entertained and won't bore you, but it remains a strictly above-average piece.

Live by Night6
Jun 4, 2026
An utterly disappointing and shockingly average piece from the director of Argo. The movie starts on a high note with great potential and a solid buildup, backed by excellent environmental design and crisp action sequences. However, the last hour is a complete disaster in terms of writing. The screenplay tries to handle too many twists and turns at once, turning the final act into a rushed mess. Ben Affleck delivers a very average performance in the lead role; he should have stayed behind the camera and cast a different actor who could bring more energy to the character. Overall, it has the look **** gangster film but completely lacks the narrative execution to match.
Jun 3, 2026
One False Move8
Jun 3, 2026
A fantastic, highly underrated 90s crime thriller that balances intense brutality with deep emotional stakes. One False Move tells a gripping story about three fugitives on the run, building up a tone where the thrill is constantly on point. What makes the movie special is how it handles its secrets and twists; the personal history revealed between the characters completely changes the stakes of the final confrontation. Bill Paxton and Billy Bob Thornton deliver incredible performances. The only minor flaw is that the runtime can occasionally feel a bit long due to a screenplay that isn't completely smooth when switching locations. Overall, a deeply satisfying, great watch—and a steal that it's free on YouTube.

Die My Love7
Jun 3, 2026
A deeply intense look at a mother's mental disorder, specifically dealing with postpartum struggles and the terrifying fear of loss. The concept is fantastic, but the film's overwhelming complexity completely destroys its narrative momentum, turning it into a "not for everyone" niche art piece. The screenplay is so abstract that you frequently lose track of what is actually happening, making it hard to separate genuine plot holes from the main character's distorted perspective and motives. It really could have communicated its heavy themes in a much more straightforward, impactful way. Jennifer Lawrence is absolutely phenomenal in the lead, and Robert Pattinson delivers a solid performance. I ultimately liked it for its ambition, but it fell short of what it could have been.

The Crossing Guard7
Jun 1, 2026
An underrated 90s drama that sets up a perfect emotional conflict: a grieving father consumed by a need for revenge, and a guilt-ridden killer who doesn't know how to move forward. The core story and setup are great, but the screenplay is held back by noticeable plot holes and twists that aren't quite up to par. What saves the movie and makes it highly enjoyable is Jack Nicholson; he can play absolutely any role, and his performance here is brilliant. Sean Penn’s direction is solid, and the ending is incredibly great and emotionally moving. Overall, a good, underrated film that deserves more recognition, especially as a companion piece to The Pledge.

Leave No Trace8
Jun 1, 2026
Discovered this gem by looking up high Metacritic score films, and it did not disappoint. Leave No Trace is a deeply emotional adventure-drama that focuses on a father-daughter duo living off the grid. The central conflict comes from the father's severe PTSD, which begins to hamper his daughter's ability to grow and integrate into normal society. Despite his trauma, his love for her is clear, and he has made her completely ready for the world—even if he isn't ready to face society himself. The screenplay is exceptionally written, opting for realistic character development over forced plot twists. The final scene is incredibly emotional, deep, and heartbreaking. The only minor flaw is that the pacing is somewhat slow for an adventure movie, but overall, it is a great, rewarding watch.

The Pledge8
May 31, 2026
An incredibly underrated gem directed by Sean Penn. Jack Nicholson delivers a flawless performance as a retired detective consumed by a solemn promise. The overall story is incredibly strong, and the narrative buildup keeps you completely gripped throughout its 2-hour runtime without a single boring moment. However, the film isn't perfect; the screenplay leaves too many plot holes that hamper the logical flow of the investigation, and some of the twists could have been executed better. Despite these flaws, the bittersweet ending will leave you feeling both sad and happy. A great watch for fans of psychological mysteries.

Desert Warrior4
May 29, 2026
Easily the worst movie of 2026 so far. It is completely mind-boggling how a film with a reported $150M+ budget can look and feel this bad. The biggest issue is the total lack of logic and cultural authenticity—you have a story set in 7th-century Arabia, yet the director, writers, and lead actors are entirely non-Arab. Because of this, the film has no historical identity; the characters talk and act like modern people, completely ruining the immersion. Anthony Mackie is entirely miscast, delivering a completely bland performance. To make matters worse, the editing is atrocious—the film cuts around so abruptly that it feels like you are watching a series of disjointed video game cutscenes rather than a coherent movie. I couldn't even finish it. A massive, expensive disaster.

The Hunter7
May 28, 2026
A good thriller that is completely elevated by an exceptional performance from Willem Dafoe as a mercenary hunting down a rare, extinct species. The cinematography of the rugged landscape is stunning. However, the film struggles with a disjointed buildup. At times, it feels like a slow family drama, while at other times, it shifts into a gritty revenge vibe. The twists are solid and heartbreaking, though a few feel unnecessary to the core plot. Additionally, the villains are poorly developed with weak motives, leaving you confused about their actual goals. The ending is good and emotionally heavy, but it happens entirely too fast compared to the rest of the movie. Overall, a good watch, but it misses being great due to an uneven screenplay.
May 27, 2026
Deep Cover8
May 27, 2026
An incredibly underrated 90s undercover cop drama that deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as classics like Donnie Brasco. The story is fantastic, anchored by a phenomenal lead performance from Laurence Fishburne and a wonderfully eccentric turn by Jeff Goldblum. The action is sharp, the dialogue is memorable, and the breakneck screenplay keeps you hooked from the start. However, the film struggles a bit with its ending, which pivots into a cynical political statement rather than a satisfying resolution to the main plot. Additionally, some of the emotional subplots could have had a stronger, more lingering impact on the main character. Despite these minor narrative flaws, it is a great, atmospheric watch.
May 26, 2026
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves8
May 26, 2026
One of the best comedies I have watched in recent years. The story is completely linear with no real twists or turns, and as an action movie, the actual combat is relatively small. The VFX is good but nothing groundbreaking. However, where this film truly shines is its dark comedy—it is absolutely brilliant. Dungeons & Dragons is not a serious fairy tale or the intense action-thriller the trailers made it out to be; it is a pure, hilarious comedy from start to finish. The humor is sharp, self-aware, and incredibly entertaining. A great watch that completely subverted my expectations. Highly recommended.
May 24, 2026
The Dead Pool7
May 24, 2026
An underrated Clint Eastwood film and a solid final case for Inspector Dirty Harry. The overall story and build-up are good, and the early appearances from Liam Neeson and Jim Carrey are absolute highlights. The movie is incredibly fast-paced—the screenplay feels like a Lamborghini zooming through the plot. However, this speed is also its main flaw. Some of the twists happen so fast that there is no proper build-up to them. If the film had been stretched to 2 hours, it could have given the villain more development and let the mystery breathe. Despite the rushed pacing, it remains a highly entertaining, underrated watch.
May 23, 2026
Mortal Kombat II7
May 23, 2026
As a sequel, Mortal Kombat II brings a good overall story and great VFX, but it struggles in areas where it should have excelled. The biggest disappointment is Johnny Cage; the character felt totally wasted here. Karl Urban simply didn't justify the role, and if you've watched the animated films, you know how much better Johnny can be portrayed. The close combat choreography also could have been sharper. Because the screenplay isn't very smooth, the film occasionally drags and becomes a bit boring, even though the comedy is okay. On the bright side, the ending is solid and the Fatalities—while too small and infrequent—are incredibly brutal. I just expected more finishing moves from a Mortal Kombat movie. Overall, it's a good watch, but it could have been a masterpiece.
May 22, 2026
The Bridges of Madison County9
May 22, 2026
There is a profound sadness hidden in this film that completely stays with you long after it ends. It teaches a beautiful lesson: true love doesn't always come when you expect it—it can find you at age 10 or age 50. And more importantly, loving someone doesn't guarantee you will spend eternity together. Sometimes, a very short amount of time can give you enough love to last until the day you die. Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep are absolutely perfect together, and Eastwood’s direction is top-notch, capturing the quiet intimacy of their connection. The ending is incredibly sad, yet deeply satisfying. This is easily one of the best romantic movies I have ever watched. "I will wait for you at the Madison bridge for eternity."
May 21, 2026
The Phoenician Scheme7
May 21, 2026
Featuring some of the best cinematography I have watched in the last few years, this film delivers the classic, immaculate Wes Anderson visual style perfectly. Visually, it is an absolute work of art. However, it lacks the deep story depth of his classic films. The espionage plot is overly complex, and the core concept sometimes gets lost, making it difficult to fully grasp or connect with. While Benicio del Toro gives a great lead performance and the star-studded side characters are excellent, the lack of narrative magic in the screenplay prevents it from being a masterpiece. It ends up being an above-average experience that is great to look at, but slightly hollow.
May 17, 2026
The Mask of Zorro8
May 17, 2026
One of the most underrated superhero movies ever made, even if it doesn't feature traditional capes. This is a story not about a superpowered man, but about a mask—a symbol created to give hope and fight for the freedom of the people. The performances are exceptional: Antonio Banderas is fantastic as the rough successor, Anthony Hopkins brings immense greatness and gravity, and Catherine Zeta-Jones is a breath of fresh air. Everything about the production is highly entertaining. My only critique is the tone; if the movie had embraced a fully serious atmosphere and avoided some of the over-the-top comedic parts, it could have been an absolute cinematic masterpiece rather than just a great adventure film. Highly recommended.
May 17, 2026
Sling Blade8
May 17, 2026
An awesome story with incredible acting and direction by Billy Bob Thornton. The film follows a man seeking a sense of redemption as he forms a deep bond with a young boy—his only real friend—and ultimately steps in to save him from making or suffering the same tragic mistakes he did. The narrative build-up to the ending is exceptionally well-handled. If there is a flaw, it's that the emotional weight sometimes misses its mark because several of the side characters feel a bit bland. Aside from the young boy Frank and the menacing Doyle, the rest of the supporting cast doesn't have a major impact. Despite this minor issue, it is a great watch that I highly recommend.
May 15, 2026
The Conformist9
May 15, 2026
One of the greatest movies ever made and a masterclass in cinematography. Many of the shots we see in modern cinema were actually pioneered right here by Bertolucci and Storaro. The film tells a gripping story of a man haunted by childhood cruelty who tries to "disappear" into fascism just to feel normal. The way it uses neo-noir elements and secret service tension makes it incredibly engaging. It perfectly balances romance, deep drama, and a chilling look at the "dark side" of the human mind. A true work of art that every movie lover must experience
May 15, 2026
Dhurandhar The Revenge6
May 15, 2026
This is easily the worst sequel I have watched in my life. While the first Dhurandhar was goated, this second part is an absolute disaster. The first 30 minutes were incredible—brutal, emotional, and well-made—but the director completely wasted that momentum. The rest of the movie feels like it was written by a child with no logic and excessive, unnecessary gore. It also halts the story for 10 minutes just to push government propaganda, using real-life footage in a way that makes no sense for a fictional film. Even KGF: Chapter 2 was better than this. A massive waste of 4 hours and easily the worst movie of 2026 so far.
May 14, 2026
Remarkably Bright Creatures8
May 14, 2026
One of the best Netflix releases in a long time. After some recent disappointments, this felt like a completely fresh concept. The story follows a woman who finds a new reason to live through an unlikely bond with a "remarkable animal"—a giant octopus. It’s a beautiful drama that teaches you about the importance of family and how life can still surprise you even when you think it’s over. The connection between the characters is heartwarming and the ending provides a great sense of closure. Highly recommended if you want a meaningful story that stays with you.
May 13, 2026
Devil in a Blue Dress8
May 13, 2026
An underrated Denzel classic that perfectly captures the noir detective style. The film is a thrilling mystery set in post-WWII Los Angeles, featuring a great performance by Denzel Washington and an absolute scene-stealing turn by Don Cheadle as "Mouse." Mouse is one of the best side characters in the genre—unpredictable and dangerous. While the plot twist at the end is great, the movie does suffer from some noticeable plot holes and a slightly over-complicated narrative that can be a bit distracting. Overall, it’s a fantastic watch for fans of gritty detective stories.
May 7, 2026
Traffic8
May 7, 2026
One of the most intense docudramas I have ever watched. Some of the scenes are so raw that it feels like you are watching real-life events unfold rather than a scripted movie. It exposes the dark side of the drug trade and how the system often protects the very people the police are trying to take down. The police missions and the consequences they face are portrayed with brutal honesty. However, as a piece of cinema, it lacks a bit of polish—the transitions between scenes are often disjointed, and the ending feels somewhat bland and abrupt. Recommended for those who want an unfiltered look at reality, rather than a typical action movie.
May 7, 2026
Excalibur8
May 7, 2026
A true classic that feels like a genuine fairytale. After a long time, it’s refreshing to see a movie that embraces the myth of King Arthur so fully. The action sequences are great and still feel relevant today, and the bond between Arthur and Merlin is a highlight, perfectly balancing serious moments with touches of comedy. While the story isn't always smooth and can feel episodic, the overall experience is enchanting. The set design and some effects definitely show their age if you watch it now, but the atmosphere remains unmatched. A great watch for a Sunday evening.
May 6, 2026
The Drama8
May 6, 2026
A great romance drama with a thrilling edge—something Hollywood hasn't delivered this well in a long time. The film explores the "hidden parts" of a relationship and how a single secret can turn a beautiful bond into something stressful and hard to live with. The chemistry between Zendaya and Robert Pattinson is fantastic, and the jokes land perfectly amidst the tension. While the character conflicts sometimes feel a bit too high and the young girl's backstory didn't feel essential to the plot, the ending is solid. It’s a powerful look at how the mind can be dark, but people can still change.
May 5, 2026
Pale Rider8
May 5, 2026
A great Western that proves nothing beats Clint Eastwood in a gunman role. Making his character a mysterious "Preacher" was a creative and effective choice, and some of the dialogue perfectly matches that holy-yet-deadly persona. The atmosphere and the "hero vs. the town" dynamic are top-tier. The only downside is the writing for the villains; they are built up to be a major threat but are defeated so easily that it feels a bit hollow. They essentially die without putting up much of a fight. Overall, it’s a great watch for any Eastwood fan.
May 3, 2026
Jeremiah Johnson8
May 3, 2026
One of Robert Redford’s greatest performances. This is a powerful Western adventure that balances a great story with gritty action. It captures the journey of Jeremiah Johnson perfectly—the crushing loneliness of the mountains, the brief warmth of his unexpected family, and the heavy weight of the sadness that follows. The revenge arc in the final act is incredibly effective and satisfying. My only minor complaint is that the screenplay isn't always smooth; it feels a bit episodic at times, which can hamper the flow. Overall, it’s a classic that is absolutely worth watching for any fan of the genre.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie7
Apr 30, 2026
A very fun experience overall, though it has some noticeable flaws. The animation in certain scenes is absolutely incredible—some of the best I've seen recently. However, the story isn't very fluent; it feels disjointed at times, which makes it difficult to fully connect with the characters or the plot. It feels more like a standalone adventure than a true sequel. Despite the pacing issues, it’s a fun ride that I would recommend if you’re looking for something visually impressive and entertaining.
Apr 30, 2026
Mesrine: Public Enemy No. 18
Apr 30, 2026
This isn't really a sequel, but rather the essential second half of the story started in Killer Instinct. While the action and car chases are actually better and more intense in this part, the overall pacing is noticeably slower. It lacks the "supercar" speed of the first film, focusing more on the gangster's public image and ego. The story feels a bit thinner here, but as a crime drama, it is still very strong. It’s a great watch, but you definitely need to see both parts to get the full experience.
Apr 30, 2026
Mesrine: Killer Instinct8
Apr 30, 2026
One of the fastest-moving movies I have ever watched. The transitions and editing are incredibly quick—sometimes faster than a supercar—which keeps the energy high but can occasionally hamper the storytelling. The story of Mesrine is great, and the action sequences are very well-executed. While the rapid-fire screenplay sometimes makes it hard to catch your breath, it is overall a great and exciting watch. A strong recommendation for fans of gritty crime biopics.
Apr 27, 2026
The Sadness7
Apr 27, 2026
One of the most brutal zombie movies I have ever watched. The horror here is real and visceral, though some scenes felt unnecessarily gory and brutal just for the sake of it. The dialogue can be a bit hit-or-miss, and at times the production has a low-budget or series-like feel rather than a big-screen epic. However, the "not so typical" zombie concept makes it a fresh entry in the genre. If you are a fan of raw survival horror and can handle the extreme gore, this is a solid recommendation.
Apr 26, 2026
Apex6
Apr 26, 2026
A massive amount of potential wasted. This movie was sold as a survival thriller, but it lacks any real tension or high-stakes moments. The story moves at a flat pace with no major events to keep you engaged, making even a short 90-minute runtime feel incredibly long. While the cast is talented and does their best, they simply can't save an average product that doesn't deliver on its promises. If you are looking for excitement or a true thriller, look elsewhere.

One of the greatest creations in movie history. The filmmaking style is incredibly unique, feeling more like a live stage play than a traditional film, which adds a deep, haunting layer to the story. It explores the dark secrets of a small town and the mistreatment of a woman with brutal honesty. While the journey is dark and deeply sad, the final act is one of the most satisfying endings ever put to film. It is a powerful, thought-provoking masterpiece that stays with you long after it ends.

Easily one of the most visually stunning films of 2026. Ryan Gosling delivers one of the finest performances of his career; he perfectly captures the transition from total loneliness to renewed hope. The heart of the movie is the beautifully portrayed friendship between the two "astronauts." The connection between Grace and Rocky is so well-done that you feel every moment of their journey. While the screenplay in the first half is a bit of a slow burn, the payoff is absolutely worth it. One of the best movies of the year.

A once-in-a-lifetime experience for any fan of the King of Pop. The movie starts off feeling like a typical, below-average biography, and the first half is admittedly slow and lacks deep emotional weight. However, the second half is a total transformation. Jaafar Jackson’s performance is incredible—it felt like watching a live Michael Jackson concert. The energy and "goosebumps" moments in the final hour are pure entertainment. While the ending is grand, it feels like it could have explored even more. Overall, a masterpiece of a second half that makes the whole experience worth watching on the big screen.
