I know the original B&W Rosemary’s Baby film was a big hit, although I was never a huge fan. This take on the story was a bit better and it’s always nice to see Dianne Wiest! The story itself is a bit boring and drawn out that’s all. Kudos to the visual department.

The prequel to 'Rosemary's Baby' feels like they remade Polanski's classic, but now incorporating scenes from 'Black Swan' and 'Suspiria.' There's zero tension and it's got nothing to add. Sometimes it feels more like an episode of 'American Horror Story.'

Apartment 7A's biggest drawback is that we already know what will happen, and the film fails to add anything new. Julia Garner is an exquisite actress, someone I wish to see more of. Her presence manages to carry a film whose ending is already evident.

This movie was a stunning visual display with a deeper look into the background surrounding how young women were drawn into the apartment's dynamics and what sets them up for the priming with consideration to the owners' end goals. It's shocking, stunning and heart breaking but gives a great cinematic experience that is thoroughly enjoyable if you are someone who finds mystery and suspense appealing along with delvings of the occult.
