Yakuza 5 Remastered

Ultimately, these changes, as well as the visual and mechanical upgrades, make Yakuza 5 Remastered a better game than the original release. If you’re a newcomer to the series and have never experienced the beautiful story of this title, then this is a must-play. The changes made here, especially when considering the other remastered titles, make it clear the Yakuza Remastered Collection is a great choice for any fan of the Kazuma Kiryu saga, or someone looking to continue their journey after Yakuza Kiwami 2.

Yakuza 5 was considered a high-water mark for the series, and it's easy to see why. I've rarely seen a game that packs in so much content, even compared to the other installments of the series which are bursting with side quests and mini games. Though the story loses some of its focus in the final part (a recurring issue with most Yakuza games), it still keeps you engaged from beginning to end. There are laughs, tears, broken faces, and a hell of a lot of dancing. In other words, it's a quintessential Yakuza game that makes for a super-satisfying conclusion to the Yakuza Remastered Collection!

The final chapter on the Yakuza Remastered Collection is a quality one, and definitely one that should not be missed by Yakuza fans. The bigger, bolder and weirder Yakuza game yet.

The most ambitious Yakuza gets the HD treatment. Story-wise is a little bit weaker, but it’s a great entry to break up with the continuity of the series.

Yakuza 5 has just about everything that you could ever dream of -- from karaoke and darts to fishing and, er, snowball combat -- but it's the immensely in-depth character-specific activities that steal the show. Whether it's Kiryu's horribly addictive taxi driving quests or Saejima's reflective survival-based hunting expeditions, you can lose hour after hour after hour to Yakuza 5, but it always feels like there's a new obsession just around the corner.

The Yakuza franchise has never managed to attract mass mainstream appeal, and that’s fine; it’s not for everyone. However, for those already enthralled by the journey of Kiryu and friends, Yakuza 5 Remastered is another great upgrade on an already beloved game.

yakuza 5 is indiscutably the pur representant of the yakuza saga, with his extrem generosity in contents and a qtory full of twist, witch are sometimes, i have to admitt ridiculous but totaly in the soul of the saga. We can also appreciate that we have some of the best playable character, mention special for shinada. The gameplay is, as always, super fun.

Amazing storytelling, really great plot twists, outstanding characters, good pacing of the story but in my opinion it was little bit to long and the ending wasn't really the best. But I had really great time with this game. It's repetitive very much and it's not really different form previous games but the story is 100% worth it.

This is one of my least favorite Yakuza games, however it's a still a very decent title. It's definitely too big for my taste even if you only want to do the main story, substories and larger minigames. 5 playable characters with their separate storylines is also too much. I enjoyed Kiryu's and Haruka's chapters the most and Shinada's the least since I'm not into baseball / batting centers at all. The main story has a bunch of weaker and stronger moments. I enjoyed it overall although the finale was also too intensive with so many boss fights happening without being able to rest & save. In my opinion the best Yakuza games are the ones with two playable characters max. Increasing their number (and also the size of the game) isn't always a great idea.

ボロボロすぎるって。 全員の物語はいい意味でも悪い意味でも龍が如く的な二転三転する物語になっているが、（これも好きじゃない人がいると思う）まとめるにあたっての物語的納得度がなさ過ぎて、風呂敷を広げすぎて結局全員の思惑が複雑になりすぎている。ドラマでもまとまんねえだろという物語を100時間ぐらいでまとめようとしている。 こういう風に書くとなんか行けるような時間だが、実際は説明も少ないしわかんないよ。 わかんないだけだったらまだいいのかなと思うけど、わかったからと言って面白い物語ではないことも苦しく影響している。

Very disappointing after Yakuza 0 to Yakuza 4. Just by watching the opening credits, it was obvious that a lot of effort had been put into making this game, but I didn't like the way Kiryu's character was developed in this game, and stopped playing after he turned down the beautiful Mayumi.
