WSC 2007 is a very solid first-outing for the sport on Xbox 360, although it's a bit slow in places. A frame of pool in the pub iwth mates is going to be more fun, but so far, this is the best Xbox 360 snooker sim. [Jan 2007, p.92]
70
An entertaining game caught in the somewhat unusual position of having no absolutely satisfactory control method. [Issue 15, p.88]
80
It's certainly lacking in the presentation department and features the odd bug and control issue, but snooker fans will still find an awful lot to enjoy. Alone, online or on the same console with a friend, there's months of entertainment to be found here, even if it isn't really a next-gen experience.

If you want a game to show off your HDTV and impress your mates go and buy Gears. But if you want a sports game that's deep, rewarding and absorbing then World Snooker Championship 2007 sinks the pink.

As far as sports simulations go, World Snooker Championship 2007 doesn’t quite have the same finesse or that extra touch of quality that "Tiger Woods" or "Fight Night" can provide. However, it brings the sport to life with impressive detail, is good fun and very easy to pick up and play – an attribute that may appeal to those who merely curious about the game.

Unlike Tiger Woods, a simulation of a sport that I like just about as much as snooker, WSC 07 doesn't offer casual players any neat features that would change us into snooker fanatics.
60
A competent and comprehensive simulation of the actual sport, but there is no flair in its gameplay or presentation. It's snooker (and pool, and billiards) by numbers, with none of the realistic-looking players or visual authenticity or visible effort of its golf, table tennis or basketball compatriots on the Xbox 360.
