Without a doubt, the closest thing I've ever seen to a game that approximates a real honest-to-goodness game of pool...There is honestly nothing that you could want in a pool game that you won't find here -- well, with the exception of stale cigarette smoke and a fistfight or two.

Virtual Pool 3 has it where it counts: high precision pool table action and awesome cool-and-confident A.I. opponents.

By far the best pool sim available on the PC. The statistics and player ranking system appear to be slightly flawed, and the sound department lacks consistency, but the accurate physics model, along with a wide variety of game modes, game types, and other various options, make Virtual Pool 3 a clear-cut winner.

Bottom line: You can't find a pool sim that looks and plays as much like the real thing as Virtual Pool 3 does.

The physics in this game are very impressive. It plays just like the real thing. Well... the real thing on a nice table. The games don't simulate all of the beer stains and little pieces of dirt that would be on regular bar pool tables.

Yes, Virtual Pool 3 really does improve your game, I'm living proof! Blatant commercialism aside, Interplay brings back the best of billiards with VP3.

Pool fans will be happy with this game (unless they have a "Diamond Viper II"), especially if they're snowed in this winter and can't get down to their local billiards hall.

Get really good and you challenge real women’s champ Jeanette “The Black Widow” Lee in her beach house—where losing your shirt wouldn’t be so bad.

After conquering the human opponents, the toughest challenge is to move into tournament mode and take on Jeanette Lee. Better make sure you're at the top of your game, though, because she doesn't enjoy losing.
