Bridging the chasm between the subtle complexity of Braid and the abstract genius of Closure, fleshed out by the unique perspective of M.C. Escher. [April 2013]

For a game that was created by just two students, it’s an accomplishment to be incredibly proud of and I know that I’ll be gifting a few of my friends this game throughout the year, even if it is only to drive them crazy with confusion too.

A good idea + a pinch of genius = a refreshing game. [CD-Action 05/2013, p.72]

It's a student version of Braid. It's got a hint of promise but none of the effort. These puzzles just are not fun to solve. They're either too easy or tedious. There's no AHA moment.

This rating does not mean that the game is bad, as it is really interesting and unique. The art style is very simple and grey, but the idea behind the gameplay mechanics was cool. It's just not my game at all... At the beginning, it was interesting and exciting for me to solve puzzles, but after some time it became boring and painful. Totally gray and nondescript background and colors did not add the joy for returning to the game. It can be said that I struggled through myself to return here for something interesting. And then the turn of the "mirror levels" comes, and all that small motivation goes away completely: now this is a test for the hands and speed, and not for the brain... well, or if you like, for everything at once. I came to this game not for a such mockery. For such things, I have other games in my game-list. In the end, my subjective opinion and my assessment is negative, since this game PERSONALLY did not bring me any pleasure. This 6 is only for getting respect to a some unique interesting concept.

Probably the best puzzle game I've ever played. it would be a lot better if there was a color changing option but it's still great on everything else .Perfect design and good puzzles and very very awesome soundtrack. 9.5/10

The Bridge is a rare gem in terms of style and game design; the value of which, however, is overshadowed by a slightly oversized selling price.

Felt compelled to register an account to write this. This game answers the question as to whether games are an artform. The game is fun. Best puzzler since Limbo.

There's enough new – even outside of is sombre atmosphere and unique art style – to make The Bridge an entertaining puzzle game.

You’ll encounter fascinating puzzles in “impossible” labyrinths. Unfortunately most of the time trial-and-error will win over logic.

It's lovely to look at, but the process of puzzle-solving feels pedestrian. [May 2013, p.61]

A cool concept without much game behind it that's ready to be tossed into the growing pile of Braid-a-likes. [Apr 2013, p.84]

Görsel bilmeceleri ile beyin yakan, baş döndüren ve "Yok artık!" dedirten bir oyundu. Çok keyif almıştım.

Decent puzzle game. Despite it's escheresque presentation, most of the puzzles are not nearly as convoluted as they may first appear: most solutions are pretty straight forward and the amount of lateral thinking required is pretty low. This sums up in a somewhat unappealing gameplay that would, by itself, make an sub-average puzzle game if it weren't for overall graphical appeal. The art style is commendable and is perhaps the very reason I kept playing the game. On the technical side, the game often feels tedious due to the control's sluggishness (even on a high end gaming rig). Overall, don't expect a masterpiece but The Bridge can sure fill one evening or two if only to enjoy stepping in a sweet, grey Escher like universe.

Nice graphics and gameplay at first. But later, when I get stucked I found a walkthrough on YouTube and I was curiuos that some puzzles(mirrored part) are more like "step exactly on this pixel" or "find weird physics glitch" than puzzles I expect from puzzle game. I did not finished it.

The Bridge is a physics based puzzler with poor physics mechanics. That right there spells the downfall of the game. It tries to be like Braid by allowing you to rewind time and offering attempts at witty quotes in between levels, but none of it is anywhere near as good. There is no pacing in the levels. You'll start out easy, then they will quickly ramp up the difficulty, only to lower it again later. Levels will range from being a minute long to over a half hour (if you want a particular achievement). Some of the levels just because needlessly tedious. By the end, The Bridge is a chore to play when it should have been a casual experience.
SummaryThe Bridge is a 2D logic puzzle game that forces the player to reevaluate their preconceptions of physics and perspective.
