The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales80
Jun 17, 2026
A gorgeous HD-2D love letter to classics like Zelda and Mana. Despite lackluster side quests and an annoyingly chatty sidekick, its time-travel mechanics, snappy combat, and superb pacing make The Adventures of Elliot a must-play for retro-affine action-adventure fans.

Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent80
Jun 15, 2026
Terrinoth is highly accessible, gently easing players into its mechanics before culminating in a challenging finale. Familiarity with the tabletop original isn't a prerequisite for enjoyment, but fans of the physical game will undoubtedly relish this digital return to the world of Descent.

Exo Rally Championship60
Jun 11, 2026
It's not the biggest rally game in terms of content while most of the sparsely decorated locations feel similar to drive at. It convincingly evokes the sensation of driving on desolate planets in far away space, though. This and a sense of realism in physics as well as its presentation make it a dream for no-nonsense sci-fi fans.

Gothic 1 Remake60
Jun 5, 2026
If you want that old Gothic feeling and gameplay – and make sure you do! –, then by all means, buy this. For everyone else, I have a list of over 50 RPGs from the last 10 years that all stand in some way on the shoulder of this ancient giant. And they are all way better games.

Thick as Thieves40
May 27, 2026
Passably playable, yet extremely short stealth-action game that captures neither the moody atmosphere nor the well-tuned mechanics of the games it is paying homage to.

007 First Light80
May 26, 2026
It may not be a perfect video game, but it delivers the ultimate Bond experience. IO Interactive excels with a compelling origin story, vast gameplay freedom, and a masterfully crafted espionage atmosphere. One can only hope the Danish developer has more of these in the pipeline.

R-Type Dimensions III40
May 25, 2026
A disappointing remaster of R-Type 3 which you can now play co-operatively and on easy difficulty - though which also, thanks to a number of mistakes and bugs, plays and looks worse than the original.

Phonopolis80
May 22, 2026
Amanita Design built a dictatorship out of cardboard, loudspeakers, and bizarre machinery. Gameplay-wise, Phonopolis isn't always brilliant, but audiovisually, it is a small but important piece of art.

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book80
May 19, 2026
It might not be a game for long evenings, but in small doses, it proves to be one of the most entertaining and fun experiences on the Switch 2. The sheer joy of poking, prodding, and experimenting with this picture-book world runs completely wild.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight80
May 18, 2026
Incredibly charming depiction of Batman's entire history in a game that could easily be a full-on spin-off from the Arkham series.
