A gorgeous HD-2D love letter to classics like Zelda and Mana. Despite lackluster side quests and an annoyingly chatty sidekick, its time-travel mechanics, snappy combat, and superb pacing make The Adventures of Elliot a must-play for retro-affine action-adventure fans.

Terrinoth is highly accessible, gently easing players into its mechanics before culminating in a challenging finale. Familiarity with the tabletop original isn't a prerequisite for enjoyment, but fans of the physical game will undoubtedly relish this digital return to the world of Descent.

It's not the biggest rally game in terms of content while most of the sparsely decorated locations feel similar to drive at. It convincingly evokes the sensation of driving on desolate planets in far away space, though. This and a sense of realism in physics as well as its presentation make it a dream for no-nonsense sci-fi fans.

If you want that old Gothic feeling and gameplay – and make sure you do! –, then by all means, buy this. For everyone else, I have a list of over 50 RPGs from the last 10 years that all stand in some way on the shoulder of this ancient giant. And they are all way better games.
