For my money, it’s the joyful purity of Adventure mode that will win you round – pitting you and your reflexes against craftily designed game worlds with just two thumbsticks for control.

Suitable for fans of Super Monkey Ball and those new to the series, Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble offers more of the same ball-rolling action but with a new spin dash mechanic. In any case, while its multiplayer offerings aren't the best, the Adventure mode here is better than ever, offering a wealth of excellently designed stages to play through and master.

When it comes down to it, Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble is an exciting and worthwhile entry in the acclaimed series. There's a lot to enjoy for newcomers and fans, from new levels and characters to multiplayer and modes. The Nintendo Switch does the title justice in the gameplay, though it hurts the graphical fidelity some of the stages and sceneries may have had. Still, it's an essential title for those looking for a fun, challenging and vibrant experience, and is definitely worth all the monkey business and your time.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble‘s offerings are exactly what you’d expect, a fun and bananas time that is easy to pick up and hard to master. The new gimmick of the spin-dash feels quintessential and juices the experience of working through 200 arcade levels just that little bit more. Though there’s room for improvements with online matchmaking and some levels perhaps being a bit too hard for hard’s sake, there are just as many quality additions in gameplay assistance tools and the ability to doll your monkey up in dozens upon dozens of cute fits. There’s no monkeying around here when it comes to quality— Super Monkey Ball as a franchise remains the belle of the ball.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble is certainly perfect for passing the time and fans of the series will be happy to have 200 new levels, but 12 years after an unreleased chapter one would have expected a more lively revival in every aspect.

As the first entirely new Monkey Ball game in 12 years, fans of the series will at least be happy to have a selection of new stages to play through. Performance issues and a relatively sparse multiplayer offering prevent it from being considered among the best the series has to offer, however.

This is Super Monkey Ball 3 in everything but the name. Tight controls, good physics engine and hard levels? SMB is back! Each level has 3 different missions to do. (Speed Run, Collect X Many Bananas, and collect the Golden Banana) You can play through Story mode up to 4 Players Locally AND Online. While there is no Monkey Target, Bowling, etc. There are some lovely additions to the Mini Game Mode, Race, Goal Rush, Banana Hunt, Ba-Boom (Cops vs Robbers) and Robot Smash. You can play these locally up to 4 players or 16 players online. Where you can compete and gain points for each season to get different customization items. Like Banana Mania there's lots of customization items to collect. This is a HUGE step forward for the series and I'm hopeful for its return to the spotlight. I haven't had this much fun in a Monkey Ball game Since 1/2/Deluxe.

Mode histoire super bien pour découvrir le gameplay et les différentes combinaisons de terrains possibles. Les 2 derniers mondes sont vraiment durs ! Mode multi très limité quand on est plus de 2 hélas. La possibilité de custom les singes est cool, et donne une raison de récolter les bananes, en plus des succès.

Después de haber jugado a los dos anteriores de Switch este me ha sabido a poco. La mayoría de niveles son muy fáciles. Tono muy infantil en general. Es gracioso lo del impulso un buen añadido, pero como digo la dificultad base del juego es mejorable (la base, sin tener en cuenta conseguir plátanos dorados). Modo multijugador muy buen añadido, lástima no poder hacer batalla con 4 jugadores. Demasiado tono infantil.

It’s fine, I like the redesigns, they’re super cute! As for the game itself, it was an alright time, but I got bored after a few hours and is less engaging than other Super Monkey Ball games in my opinion.

4 player multiplayer is severely lacking. You can only play through the campaign with 4 players, other multiplayer battle modes are limited to 2 player couch co-op. There is no valid reason for this solution, they could've easily included an offline multiplayer for 4 players.
