It's a competent enough kids' game, but that's about it- it's competent. The worst types of Kids' games are the ones that are entirely designed for kids under the age of 7. The reason i say this is because there are games out there that can be played by kids under the age of 7, that are still actual video games.I think **** like Mario Odyssey (Which is very clearly what a large chunk of this game was inspired by). Yes it can be played by kids, they may not be able to beat everything, or truly get how to play Play it, but it still is clearly a blast because it's a better game than this. It's accessible, but it isn't stupid easy- It's colorful and bright, but it can have contrast- It guides you, but doesn't force you to watch a cutscene every single time the slightest change in level design **** Super Lucky's Tale isn't a very good game, but it is a fine enough kids' game. If your kid likes Mario, get him this- especially because it's where they took most of the inspiration and level design from. Even the 2D sections are clearly a Donkey Kong Country copy.I didn't like it- I think this Developer should try something new, don't carbon copy every idea they find from Nintendo, and instead use this game design as a stepping stone to new and fresh ideas.

When i first started this game i thought it would be a cute and charming game, which i was right about, what i didn't expect was a game that was if mario only catered to it's young fan base. Throughout the game i felt like i was being treated like i had the mindset of an 8 year old, acting like this is my first game i've ever played and it really takes away any joy i had in this game, where there is a couple good things. As i stated before, this game is really darn cute and charming with its characters and the level design is well made. The music is really good too. Unfortunately it falls short in the control area and the fact you move what seems like a snails pace. But if you ignore the easy difficulty and controls, this game is a pretty cute pick up and play game. It's included in game pass hence why i could play it, but i don't suggest you buy this for the 30 dollars it goes for. You can find way better games for that price. if you seem interested in it, go ahead

EN: An interesting game, with many worlds to explore and interesting puzzles. Unfortunately, the physics of the game and the position of the camera are not great, so they often die because of stupidity. But the beautiful graphic design, good soundtrack and cool gameplay add to the excitement. Ali prelep grafički dizajn, dobar soundtrack i kul gemplej doprinose uzbuđenju.

It is a great game for families! Had this game been more polished (better graphics) I'd have given it a 9/10! Still very fun to play. Graphics 7/10, Audio 9/10, Game-play 8/10, Loading: 8/10

This game must be in PS4 to fix the problems, but wow, the graphics are AWESOME. But yes, I like this game more than any boring shooter like Halo or Gears of War. I hope Xbox can finally get rid of these 2 sagas and get focused in creating quality games.

I got stuck first level after 2 min of gameplay, unable to proceed. This game looks like candy but plays like crap. No free camera makes you struggle with weird angles devs decided you HAVE to use for game control. I don't feel robbed only because I got this game free as part of Xbox subscription.

I'm giving it a 10 because there's a lot of negative reviews for no other reason then it's not pushing the boundaries forward or it's short or it's too easy. Yet, other games get great scores even with these points counting toward it. I give it a 10 because it's enjoyable, it's fun and I enjoyed myself. Which is exactly what a game should be.

The good: a game for the little ones in the house. Characters with a lot of charisma. The confrontation against kittens is fun. "Collect-toon" as in the N64 and PSX games. 900G of easy achievements. It has the expansion of summers games and the expansion of missions-Challenges for the most expert (with cost). Expansions give you more hours of play The bad: very short. Something easy. The expansions should come from the base in the game. The Meh: Hardcore and rough Xbox users hated it. Hopefully and get a sequel

Ended up getting all achievements in this awesome game. Super Lucky's Tale really surprised me with how much I enjoyed it. Pros: - I like the idea of mixing 2D and 3D levels - The different goals for each level was well done - Good amount of challenge Cons: - Some of the levels were a little short

There's talent behind (look the artworks) but the 3D models and the overall games feels generic and not so inspired

While the game manages to entertain and be fun most of the time, Super Lucky’s Tale is seen affected by some technical and design decisions that are hard to enjoy. The fixed camera angles are never helpful in making the jumping and movement feel precise. It became a common thing for me to die throughout the game, purely because its camera angle made me think I was going to land somewhere else to where I ended up falling. The game can be easy for genre experts, though it will be challenging for both children and players who have rarely played a platformer game. The levels are varied, with both 2D and 3D perspective levels. As the 2D levels are not affected by the game's awful fixed camera view of its 3D counterparts, they are far more enjoyable. Each world has a set of puzzle mini games, all of which are very fun to play. Super Lucky’s Tale is not a revolutionary platformer game or anything like that, but I recommend it to those who want to have a good time, as its colorful and optimistic world will surely provide happiness to the player's heart for around 8 hours.

This game is not inventive in any way. That is ok with me as I really enjoyed the older 3d platformers of Crash and Spyro. This game feels a little like those. The camera angles can get a little tricky and cause some deaths and aggravation. The developers did no try to innovate just mimic 3D platformers. I enjoyed the game and hope to see more from them as overall the game was fun and challenging.

Super Lucky’s Tale is a standard platformer. It kind of reminds me of Banjo Kazooie or Spyro the Dragon where there is a hub world and then multiple portals inside the hub world. The portals take you to a platforming level. It’s a pretty standard platformer. There are 2 different types of platformers, there are 2-D platformers like the original Super Mario Bros or Megaman and then there are 3-D Platformers like Super Mario 64 or Banjo-Kazooie. This game actually has both kinds of platforming levels. There are a lot more 3-D levels but there are a handful 2-D levels as well. Much like Super Mario 64 where you’re goal is to collect Stars. This game has a similar concept but instead of stars its clovers. Each world, level has 4 clovers and I would usually try to collect all 4 in each level. You get 1 clover for completing the level, you get 1 for collecting 300 coins in that level, one by collecting 5 levels that spell out lucky and then each level had miscellaneous/hidden one. To simplify the game loop, collect clovers so you can open up a new area to collect more clovers. So it’s a platforming collectathon. I wish the game was memorable, there is nothing overly special about this game. It feels like a very run of the mill Platformer. The game is also not very difficult, it’s a very low-stress game but it’s not very rewarding either. This is also a game where you don’t want to sit down and play through this is one sitting. That would drive you insane. The way I played it was simple, I would come home from work. Play through 3-4 levels and then move onto something else for the remainder of the night. It took me a couple weeks to go through the whole game. I don’t want to sit here and just needlessly bash the game but it just doesn’t do much. It does give out easy achievement points so if you’re an achievement hunter then sure look at this game.

Some absolutely biased critics have given this game a score it does not deserve. The game is an excellent platformer, it plays good and it looks so charming that you can deny its best quality. Some even say it's not the best game to show the Xbox One X power, but they do not say the game plays at native 4k and 60 fps flawlessly. It has received 2 DLC s totally worth the pennies, now you can customize Lucky and there are two new worlds with new mechanics.

I can see not too many people on here are shooting straightforward here so let me give you an unbiased review. This game is not ground breaking by any means but was meant to go head on against the likes of mario and other well known platformers. This game starts out cute with nice artwork but has little story, the collectible coins do absolutely nothing for you, the controles are horindous and the camera angles limit your visual experience. A open world game with tough camera angles instead of 360 visual is rediculous. The underground dig feature is rarely made to use but is horrible to try and control as well. Jumping is hard to pin point a landing spot and lots of times it feels like your character weighs 500 lbs and cant make a double jump. The cuteness wears off quickly and your stuck with a frustrating experience. This aimed to compete with AAA game titles and fails miserably at every turn. Avoid if possible this one is not a good experience.

You know, when I first saw this game in action at the Microsoft E3 2017 conference, I honestly had to have it. Sure, it didn't look groundbreaking or revolutionary, but it just looked so adorable and charming that I just had to give it a chance. Well, shortly after its launch, I gave it a chance, dropped it, but then picked it back up and tried it again. And now that I've beaten the ****'s about what I expected, just with a little less "wow" to it. "Super Lucky's Tale," as I expected, is a ridiculously cute game. It's beautifully designed, the lead character is adorable, and the game itself has an extremely "children's storybook" kind of feel to it, with a simple story that's nothing too deep, but still fun enough for what it's going for. The game is also very accessible and easy to get into, and there's plenty of content to collect in the game, making it relatively beefy for a game geared towards a younger audience. And with several different gameplay concepts, from 3D platforming to 2.5D platforming to endless running to puzzles to mazes, there's definitely a lot of variation to the gameplay. That said, as varied as the gameplay is, it's unfortunately a bit too simple, and the only thing that might challenge you about it is the occasionally wonky controls and very poor camera. The fact that you can't really freely control said camera (you can move it slightly to the left, or slightly to the right, but that's it) only hurts even more. On top of that, while the game is cute and charming and feels like a classic 90's platformer, it doesn't really do anything truly unique or special with the formula, and it just ends up feeling very standard. Overall, I wanted to love "Super Lucky's Tale" a lot, and there were quite a few things I really did like about it. It's adorable and it definitely hearkens back to the 90's platformers that I grew up with. I just wish the game did something more unique with that formula, and I wish it challenged me with something more meaningful than iffy controls and a bad camera. It's a decent little platformer, especially if you have kids, but it certainly could've been so much more. Final rating: 6 out of 10 "Decent"

SUPER LUCKY'S TALE is a platform game that combines 2D and 3D scenarios. The artistic design is very nice and cute, but it doesn't have much variety of levels. Some people say that we can move the camera, and it's true but not 360º, just 180º. In general, it's recommended for everyone who want to play a simple platform game, without need of innovation. I expected more but it's indeed a good game.

(Super Lucky's Tale).

This is one of the best 3D platformers in years. Im 24 years old and have never reviewed a game, but seeing as this games rating Is wayyyy lower than it deserves is literally mind bending. Artistic, funny, and easy to pick up and play. What isnt to like? People that gripe about the camera, i would assume, are people that cant play platformers. An 8 year old could beat this blindfolded. Whats great though, is there are enough collectibles and jokes to keep people our age entertained for hours. Will reccommend this game to everyone. LOVE IT. 10/10 easy. Do yourself a favor and play Xboxs best platformer to date.

I thought the original game was great, It had a very original feel to it on the Oculus Rift, even if it was a basic platforming game. After giving a middle finger to their original market and focusing on a larger market the game no longer stands out in any way. This isn't the worst game and if it came out nowhere near the new Mario Odyssey; people may have even played it. I tried to enjoy it more but just felt it lost something from the original where it stood out more. Truth is I still prefer to play the original game any day when given a choice.

Super Lucky's Tale might not be Mario or Crash Bandicoot, but that doesn't hold it back from being an excellent 3D platformer. Creative level designs, tight fast controls, and plenty of beautiful graphics make this game one of the best platformers in years. Yes the camera is locked to a 270 degree view, but since the levels are made based around that, usually nothing to worry about.

I’ve been looking forward to Super Lucky’s Tale for months and the main reason for that is because I love new platformers and the game certainly looked like it had a lot of charm. Thankfully on the whole it’s a pretty decent platformer even though it does suffer with a few shortcomings. The game does a wonderful job of being accessible to all gamers and the easy pick up and play style means nobody gets left out. The only problem with this style is that it does lack a challenge at times and that can make things boring, but they combat that by making the boss battles fun and challenging at the same time. The platforming on the whole has been done very well, and the most important thing is that everything works properly and remains responsive throughout. There are quite a few levels for you to sink your teeth into and each level has some good variety to them and this in turn keeps things fresh and interesting. I did however have some problems with the camera when playing these levels and the awkwardness of it can frustrate you quite a bit at times. The different characters in the game can be quite charming at times, and I thought Lucky was adorable. I will say though that Lucky could have done with a few more abilities and a little more in the way of personality. The presentation side of the game is something I really enjoyed. Visually the game is packed to the brim with colour and the environments look great. The sound design is also well done and the best thing is that the soundtrack never outstays its welcome. At the end of the day Super Lucky’s Tale is a game that captures both retro and modern platforming elements together and for the most part it works. The few problems can be distracting at times and can impact on the fun factor, but without a doubt you will find it enjoyable more than frustrating. If you love platformers that can be played and enjoyed by the whole family then you will love this game, and in the end it gets a recommendation from me.

Fun Game, ruined by a camera perspective that has you missing enemies, items or straight up falling to your death as you miss a platform. Falling through the floor and bad camera angles totally ruined the fun the game should have contained.

A wonderful and charming game that is both fun and challenging for all ages. I 100% this game in a couple days because I couldn't put it down. Never had any control or camera issues and loved the platforming. Every world had its own great esthetic and mechanics. 4k looked amazing on my One X and Samsung KS8000. A must for any Xbox owner with a can't be beat price of $30.

Nothing too original, too difficult or too innovative to see here: just a classic, solid, fun, colorful and beautiful platformer to play on your PC or your XBox when you want to relax and take a break. The budget price is a nice addition.
