Star Trek Starfleet Command: Orion Pirates

GamePower
Orion Pirates is still "Starfleet Command II," only this time, for better or worse, it's turned up to 11.
There were a thousand things that could have gone wrong, making the gameplay experience a chore, or making it boring, but none of those things went wrong, and the gameplay is exciting and fun.
Basically the same graphics engine and gameplay as the original, with some welcome additions like pirate cartels, new ships, and missions that fit requirements of most expansion packs. Unfortunately, it also has long load times and a few bugs.

GameSpot
Orion Pirates has an impressive amount of content for a stand-alone expansion, so it's great for new players; but ardent fans of "Starfleet Command Volume II" will merely find more of the same.

Yahoo!
A worthwhile purchase for those new to the series, provided you feel ready to take on the initially steep learning curve.

Computer Games Magazine
A perfect launching point for anyone new to the series, but it simply isn't worth the steep $30 price tag for anyone who already owns "Starfleet Command Volume II."
