Steel Division: Normandy 44

One of the best war strategies I have ever played is a great compromise between fidelity to reality and pure entertainment. Besides the monotony of the environment and the small flaws in the user interface, you can’t complain to anything.

Steel Division: Normandy 44 will challenge players in a way that’s not achieved by other titles. It might not have the brightest AI or the most balanced multiplayer, but it’s more than enough to reveal an important fact. We haven’t been playing strategy games before; they were just some hollow mock-ups.

Steel Division: Normandy '44 is a great strategy game that recreate the WWII with an epic scale. An interesting mix of tabletop wargames and RTS with an addictive multiplayer.

While the gameplay can feel rushed sometimes, Steel Division nevertheless is a great game that authentically recreates the World War II conflict and brings some new ideas to the RTS genre.

While there’s a distinct appeal to Steel Division: Normandy 44, this is a game that caters to a particular niche audience of hardcore strategy fans. Its depiction of the Second World War focuses on realism, with a reliance on ambushes and weight of fire in infantry combat and a surprising fragility to the tanks, but this difficult to master game won’t be for everyone. There’s some clever ideas in the shifting front lines, the fog of war and Battlegroups, but there’s problems with the presentation and some elements that feel unbalanced.

A solidly enjoyable title that has balance issues that need patching but otherwise a good investment for fans of the genre.

The 10vs10 games were an instant sell arguement for me. I bought the game in beta and the development team really is working on balancing the game out. There are some stronger/weaker units, but their isn't a bias to allies or axis forces. In a decade where quality rts are rare, this game really stands out. Be it the glorieus fields of normandy, the fluid frontline mechanic... I really dont like 1v1's or 2v2's, I dont like the competiveness in them. I rather prefer 10vs10, Some will call me noob, but I like to play with decs build around arty, air, or infantry. It lets you play the way u like it. The big collective games also take away a bit off indivudual skill, so their is less pressure to perform well. 10vs10 games really feel big and can get fun, but messy at times. 1 big chaos.

Excellent Wargame style strategy game which requires planning and decision making. includes nice and challenging singleplayer and multiplayer. I can recommend this for all who are interested in WW2.

Close Combat and Wargame veterans cannot avoid this awsome tactical RTS. It's a deep strategy with everything what i want to see on virtual battlefield.

Too poor for game, which based on the trilogy of great realistic wargames, based on the Cold War. It so good in comparison with other wargames on the market, but it seems like a not improved wargame and cropped wargame. 4 points for improved infantry battles in comparison with wargames, and and for a slightly more interesting campaign ****'t know what else would have prompted me to raise the rating..

False advertisement on realist data,units and gameplay ,there aren't any respect on real Normandy other than very few instance such as beute firefly which is a historical fact. jumbo has better armor than King tiger and about 3 time the armor piecing damage increment from maximum firing range. Aside from their marketing,the game itself is a mess,demanding load out yet pathetic graphic output not even in 2015 can be tolerable. Network issue every 10 games in US is quite common, music are very repetitive and the game can barely go beyond 50 hours for the price aside for very short campaign with total of 12 extreme similar objective. Beside false advertisement,this game also has to do with paradox who notorious in dlc ,expensive dlc for very minor game patching,pity that they abandon their generous dlc policy before this **** devs put shame on wargame series and might be the final nail on the coffin after AOA debacle. Some people think it could be wargame:ww2 but this is not wargame nor ww2, only some ww2 theme cosplayers fighting on Normandy. I won't suggest this to my worst enemy,that will be PUBG or something.
