The million-dollar question ... is this game for you? If you're a steadfast-conservative adventure gamer, well, then, no. If you like to try new things, then the answer is a resounding yes!

Use of the Unreal engine brings alien worlds and starship interiors to glorious life in stunning detail and colour.

What is lacking in over familiar gameplay is made up for with impressive visuals, a genuine atmosphere and very friendly features and controls.

A serviceable Star Trek licensed game for DS9 fans. The character models all look pretty good, the UI is accurate, the sound design is authentic. It's fun! Even if it's a little dated or janky, it's fun and cool. It is worthwhile for being able to walk the promenade alone.

Genial juego, original, variado, 3 personajes disponibles, cada uno acompañado de multitud de niveles, desde monas, naves siendo destruidas, parajes inospitos, muy recomendable.

Just the right mix of action, role-play, and strategy.

It looks marvelous, especially the character animations that have been especially tweaked to improve on typical Unreal character performance.

There are just too many doors that don't open, or containment field barriers that can't be lowered, giving the rat in a maze feel to many missions.

Overall, though, The Fallen doesn't exactly leave you feeling like you've been through the mill, emotionally or physically. Think of it as being a cheerful diversion.

A must-buy for diehard "DS9" fans, and a decent game otherwise. [Feb 2001, p.87]
