This is a fun collection of games. I enjoyed playing through these with my friend for nostalgia

Many Sonic fans really downplay this collection. But really, this is still the best way to play these classic games. For casuals, this is the perfect collection to get.

Since it has brought these games in an almost pristine condition, with plenty of bonus soundtrack, pictures, videos and manuals to unlock (for free), new playable characters, Game Gear games, and made me have lots of fun, it deserves to be recognized as such, because these games were and are legendary! The only negative thing IMO is the fact they got rid of the "MJ songs", which many people loved.

Buggy, glitchy, unfinished, unplayable, they delisted roms you could purchase and emulate so they can sell you an inferior product.

Sonic Origins is an Alright collection of the Core Classic Sonic Games. Its missing The Ability to Select Levels is S1 & S2, Introduces New Glitches, Ruins the OST Of S3&K. But if you're a newcomer, You won't care. Make sure to get the Plus expansion of it. It makes it much better.

It's a very good game and I enjoyed it thoroughly, can't wait to see what else is in store...

I haven't noticed any bugs with any of the titles like what's been claimed. The lack of some Sonic 3 music is disappointing but understandable. The editions in this collection are lacking compared to Sonic Mega Collection which was released 20 years prior to this.

despite it not using music from the og games in some of the levels. its a fun nostlagia bait game with many different characters to play as

I played through the early sonic games through here, I liked them all, times for an analogy Sonic Origins is like if you like breaking a puppies legs, its worse now, but still a puppy, ow wait that sounded ableist, I swear thats not what I meant

Probably one of the strangest classic sonic collections ever. I was pretty excited for this game since it had sonic 3&k in **** I was surprised to see that the OG M.J music was replaced with different music which wood have been fine if it wasn't super Mario music...seriously it sounds like something that could be in a Mario game and it's trash. there's also a lot of weird changes to THE CH.W.H ports that are the sonic 1 sonic cd and sonic 2 in this game. yes they used the mobile ports of the above.they removed the save file system to sonic 1 cd &2 which was dum cus people who don't know the level selection cheat codes are screwed. And they don't have any way to play in full screen with lives and it would have been cool if they had a .C.R.T filter. other than that it's a convenient way to play the 4 classic sonic games.just wish it had more content and made sense.

Sonic Origins is not bad at all. Its a faithful collection of the best original 2d games. Nice modes and missions for extra fluff. Its also fun to play as other characters in games. However it left me wanting more from it. I wish it would of had more characters to play.

A great pack of the 4 titans that made sonic the huge icon he is today... great collection!

It's pretty good but there are some glitches that made me lower the score. I like that they included a wide screen mode under "anniversary mode" and that I can play Sonic 1,2,3 and CD. (plus 12 game gear tiles if you have the Plus Expansion Pack). So the score I'm going to Sonic Origins is a nine out of ten.

While it definitely has some minor issues and is overpriced still definitely a very good collection in my opinion and it was my first experience to the classic games and overall had a really good time! I like that the medals can be used as retries in the bonus stages! And I like how every game as opening and ending cutscene which makes the experience more enjoyable by having those and I love that beating all 4 main games rewards you with one final cutscene!

Great collection of the classics but there are a few problems first knuckles not being playable in sonic cd second sonic 1 2 & cd not having saves like sonic 3 where you could select the levels and third no super sonic in sonic 1 well I know he is in there but you can’t auto save so it’s basically not and the last problem no ice cap zone theme the price could also do to be a bit lower

La mayoria de desbloqueables tienen entre poco y nulo interés. Además de cortos, son juegos que han envejecido bastante mal a nivel de control y diversión jugable. Dificultad desmedida, sobre todo en jefes. Es imposible disfrutar de Sonic 1 corriendo por el escenario sin morir una y otra vez de manera estúpida e injusta. El ensayo y error en este caso no es divertido, ya ni hablamos para acabar cada nivel con 50 monedas.

I am a huge fan of the 2d sonic games. They don't get much love when compared against mario, and have a million re-releases and emulators out there that it feels like the last thing we need is another re-release, but I am so glad they did Sonic Origins. Sonic Origins is like the Final Cut of the 3d collection. widescreen instead of 4:3, character select screens, checkpoints and persistent saved. Unlimited lives to end the punishment of casual playing, and a new coin system, which is, if you ignore the museum unlocks which are pretty much pointless, are a great system to allow replaying of chaos emerald bonus levels. The launch price was obviously a bit much for such old games, but it went to half price sale very quickly, and will continue to drop in price. This is the version of the original sonic games I'll be coming back to whenever I have a sonic itch. My only wish was that there was was a way to get this on the PSP, but least it's on the Switch.

Es una buena forma de jugar a los juegos clásicos de Sonic y completamente remasterizados, las islas en 3D son muy bonitas, tiene una buena re-jugabilidad con el modo misiones, tiene una buena cantidad de contenido, como música o artes (incluso artes nunca antes vistos) y las cinemáticas animadas son impecables. Lo malo que le encontré es que son solamente 4 juegos en la colección y no decidieron poner otros juegos que jamas habían estado en una colección de Sonic como Knuckles Chaotix o Sonic 3D Blast, pero se agradece que tengamos Sonic 3 & Knuckles

I think Sonic Origins is a great Collection. The Game has a solid fun experience. With 4 Titles, Sonic 1,2,3 and Knuckles and CD, the game has a long play time. My only issue is that in Sonic 3 they changed the music because of copyright from Micheal Jackson. Which is sadly bad. But I still like like his game.

Sonic Origins is a great way to replay the classic Sonic games. Sure the price might be a bit too much. But it’s definitely worth it for all the extra content that you’re getting. Ignore all the cry baby’s saying this is a rushed collection and leaving bad reviews because of Sonic 3’s music change. Although I did run into a few problems with Sonic 3’s wonky collision and few other bugs. It didn’t affect my gameplay that much. Overall, soild collection

Almost all of you just spammed with angry reviews, the players are complete idiots. The collection quite came to me At cost price I bought the time spent on the passage, as well as the emotions presented)

This game is really fun, yes it has minor glithes but, i enjoy my time alot with the game, and i hope everyone enjoys it as well

This collection is great! Ignore the crybabies complaining about the price, S3&K soundtrack and bugs (There's no such thing as a glitch-free game). Pretty much every single Sonic fan are ungrateful and criticize Sega for rushing even though they themselves rush Sega as well. Get your sh--- together fanboys and stop being hypocrites to Sega! I am well aware about the controversy, but you can't get mad at Sega if you are doing the same exact thing when it comes to news or rereleases. I am starting to believe that the bad reviews are made by trolls and the fact that Sonic fanboys are never grateful on what Sega gives them just further proves it. All of the bad reviews are from IGN employees (The "Sonic was never good" guys). Stop being ungrateful and play some god dang Sonic! Sonic Frontiers will be a sucess and the rest of the future Sonic media. And no don't brag about Sonic 3 A.i.R. because that's a mod and it's cheating!

it"s pretty good, nice to have S3K in widescreen for the first time. wish it was made a little easier to change between the US and JP soundtracks for sonic CD. I'm a little annoyed over the S3K soundtrack being changed, if anything I rather them just use the tracks from the prototype, instead of changing them slightly but those are minor nitpicks.

It's great to finally be able to play all these games, particularly Sonic 3 & Knuckles, on a big screen that isn't a computer monitor or old console. Given how S1, S2, & even SCD are able to be gotten on more platforms, S3K is the big draw - I'm not terribly salty over the Carnival Night, Ice Cap, & Launch Base Zones' original cartridge release music missing, as MJ's estate probably wanted exorbitant sums of money Sega could spend to make better games, but they should've just straight used the 11/1993 prototype versions. Everyone knows that prototype still exists. Also, the S&K title music should be an option for S3K. Other than those, love the challenge mode, the frame rate fixes on the S2 & S3K special stages too. I'd have given a 9 if Chaotix were included but you can't have it all.

It gave me pleasure to play classic Sonic games, in my opinion this is a very good remaster of the games that have remained in our hearts. And I hope that Sonic Frontiers will come out with the same quality game

Sonic Origins is a good collection but with a few problems. These games are remasters that are better than the originals in every way. The extra content is nice to have but the mission mode is amazing. But how I said, there are problems: The bugs in the game, the drop dash in Sonic 1,2 isn't as good as in the other versions because of the roll lock, a sound ist missing in Sonic CD and the list goes on. But These are Just little problems that don't make the game unplayable or broken. All in all a good collection.

Great ports of the game with good new stuff added to it, it's great ro play this game on anything but a phone and It's the best way to play these games (especially CD & 3&K)

Sonic Origins, in many ways, are the official, definitive way to play these classics. With widescreen, saves, infinite lives, the drop dash, museum mode, story mode and much more, it feels like a respectful tribute to the classic era of Sonic, lacking games like Sonic Spinball, Knuckles Chaotix and Sonic 3D: Flickies Island sadly. While the games do have some issues, like collision, progress resets and etc, they are few and far between to where they won't ruin your experience. Yes, they are annoying, and di peg the score down a bit, but I do recommend Origins.

This is a good collection you have new animated cutscenes spin dash in sonic 1 and drop dash in every game . You also have new modes like mirror mode mission mode and ranking
