There may not be many retro James Bond games but Sly Spy certainly does a decent job of filling 007's shoes.

A fun retro romp, Johnny Turbo's Arcade: Sly Spy captures the arcade feel of the original, and features some of the gloriously retro writing we all love. Some more variations in the levels would have been nice, but getting through it while holding onto your health is a steep climb.

As other memorable coin-ops, Sly Spy debuts on Switch with the same pros & cons that other classic games seen on the Johnny Turbos' Arcade series: it's an experience that, by today standards, falls too short (10-12 minutes to complete) and the emulation doesn't offer too many options (no "DIP switches", different versions of the game by region...)

I discovered and played the game Sly Spy in Antstream. And this shooting game is pretty good. It is almost similar to Contra but being a spy in this game. The game has an actual bullet limit which makes it a little realistic but reasonable after every ammo is gone or a gun is disarmed during a Boss Battle. Movements of the game felt a little sticky and so did the motorcycle level. The boss levels are pretty good. However, some are repetitive like the hat thrower boss and the last boss battle in the game was too anti-climatic that all you have to destroy is a laser wall with your bullets and kicks and the final boss in one blow. And the game that has the golden gun? It felt a little pointless because it does fill it up faster. In conclusion, if you have or have not played Bad Dudes vs DragonNinja then this game is worth a try, needs to be remembered and crossover with the Bad Dudes.

A short but sweet ride on her majesty’s service saving the Yankees from nuclear terrorism that leaves very little to fault or recommend for what it is: A perfect representation of what a good arcade game used to be and should you feel the need to relive those glorious times, you can now do so conveniently on your Switch. For England, Sly.
