Silent Hill 2 is everything we hoped for so many years. It takes the beautifully imperfect aspects of the original game and adapts them wonderfully in a new, amazing, and also beautifully imperfect remake. Living James' horrifying journey with modernized graphics and gameplay made me feel like a kid again. And even if I once thought otherwise, I'm now certain that no other developer studio could have done it better. Thank you, Bloober Team.

Silent Hill 2 Remake is a breath of fresh air and a revitalization of a nearly dead video game franchise. Everything that survival horror has to offer is present here in one of the best and most profound narratives in history. The game masterfully recreates the town of Silent Hill while expanding and making familiar locations and moments even scarier, and shows that Bloober Team can, indeed, make incredible horror games.

I played the OG when it was released, I was around 13 year old. It is in my top10 games of all time. The remake is on the same level for me, it extends the OG but I think the vibe sometimes lacks a bit compared to the original. Maybe I feel it because of the characters visual repesentation and the pictorial world. Definetly what is a big + compared to the OG is the action.

Silent Hill 2 Remake is bleak, grotesque and utterly compelling in its retelling of a horror masterpiece, with superb visuals and performances, and an immersive narrative that is just as hard hitting as it was over 20 years ago. A couple of missteps here and there do not deter from Bloober Team's masterful remake of what is, for my money, the greatest horror game ever conceived.

The remake of Silent Hill 2 doesn’t surpass the original, but it’s still an admirable attempt. It succeeds at recreating the same tension-filled atmosphere with a sense of dread that only grows as James progresses in his quest to find Mary. The updates to the camera are a welcome change, and while combat has been improved, there are some aspects that are annoying.

This is a great re-visit for one of the best horror games of all time, a psychological horror masterpiece. It may not leave an impression that is as strong and as artistic as the original was, but it excels in creating an unsettling atmosphere. It was impossible maybe to recreate the original in the same exact way, so Bloober took their own creative risks, and their own vision and for Silent Hill 2 is outstanding, grounded, and exciting. Not to mention, the game expands on the original in almost every way possible. The gameplay loop, however, is simple compared to other games like Resident Evil, and this may lead to a feel of repetition as the adventure goes on.

A really good game and I had been waiting a long time to get it. Great atmosphere, and it brings back memories from when I was a kid. The combat is really satisfying for taking down the monsters, you can really release some anger and it feels good. The puzzles, however, are a pain and break the flow of the game so effectively that I have to say it bluntly. It’s an amazing game, but some parts make you lose your mind, and luckily most of us have access to guides for certain puzzles, otherwise it would be impossible. Every time the flow is constantly interrupted, frustration shows up. Overall, I’d rate it a 7.

O jogo tem uma ótima atmosfera de terror. Gráficos bonitos. No entanto, na parte técnica falta polimento, movimentação do personagem e ações simples. Faltou uma elaboração de itens pra ter sentido a exploração. De forma geral os ambientes são bonitos, embora tenha alguns que se percebe a simplicidade.

Idk how u call this a remake but the newJames IS SO SLOW SO PATHETIC!!! he moves slow and dies fast, they made hipm look like a complete ****, he runs like a **** moves like a turtle meanwhile? Eddie that is heavier and more **** is 10xfaster and has a "powerful"gun compared to the weak ass shotgun and others James has, this game is ajoke!!! Made me rage so much!!! The remake is a complete joke!!! Nothing but a game that makes u rage, call it silent lgtbq cause James doesn't take hits and runs like a ****, the original silent hill2 was better wtf kind of remake was this ****!?? Only makes me rage!!!
