Oceanhorn 2 wears its influences pretty clearly on its sleeve, and it does so in a way that doesn’t always do it any favours, but if you can ignore that and accept it on its own terms, you’ll find a game that’s pretty enjoyable in its own right.

Do Switch players really need a very poor Zelda clone when they can always replay Breath of the Wild? [Issue#251, p.69]
Players looking for a cheery Legend of Zelda-style title will find it in Oceanhorn 2, and with a much smaller pricetag. It may have a few issues, but it’s worth the price of admission to see what this talented team has put together.

Not Mario, not Zelda, but this game make me buy the Nintendo Switch. It's not a perfect game, but so enjoyabe. Ppl often use BOTW standard to judge this game but it is supposed to make for IOS users.

Dinheiro jogado fora.

A bad action - gdr game. The plot is messy, the characters oftenkeep talking outside the cutscenes, the main character have like 0 charisma..a sack of potatoes would have been better. Controls are a bit clunky, the upgrades are basically non-existant, the plot is boring, the difficulty is super-easy. Looks like a generic low budget game for tablet. Oh, and last **** button to run it's the obnoxious "keep pressing left stick"....congratz devs, you really made the most unconfortable button to run! What they were thinking ?

Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm is a beautiful title that fans of the action adventure genre will love. Although it is inspired by Zelda, it has its own personality and stands out in the Nintendo Switch catalog.

Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm, like the original Oceanhorn, fails to have its own identity. However, in some areas, it does Zelda better than, well, Zelda. While the sub-par combat and iffy performance bog down the experience, its beautiful world, clever puzzles, and solid pacing elevate it to the very tip-top of the “Zelda-like” list.

Îmi place cu adevărat acest joc. Am jucat jocuri Zelda toată viața și pot spune că acest joc respectă originalul. Mi-ar plăcea să joc mai mult, dacă va apărea o actualizare sau dlc.

The action rpg obviously took its inspiration from the Zelda-series, while scoring with its own game world as well as the puzzle design.

Oceanhorn 2 is an obvious evolution from the previous entry. It lacks personality, but it also is a good adventure that won’t disappoint those who enjoyed the original game.

While it looks and performs better on console, a port simply cannot fix the problems at Oceanhorn 2’s core. Still, it may be worth dipping your toes in if you’re a 3D Zelda fanatic.

Oceanhorn 2 previously had the privilege of being the closest that one could get to playing Legend of Zelda on their phone, but it doesn't have that same distinction on the Switch where it is up against giants like Breath of The Wild. As a result, some of the game's luster has been lost, even though it's perfectly serviceable for those interested.

Oceanhorn 2 has the odd moment which is really enjoyable, mostly limited to the puzzles and bosses within the dungeons. But there could be so much more here, there are glimpses of a game that could be really special, but it regularly loses the attention of its audience due to the barren open world. The presentation feels low quality and dated, the combat clunky, the world empty. This looked so promising, but is quite the disappointment.

I loved the first game and this definitely raises the level! For me, there was about 16 hours playtime for the main story. I think it has been well worth the 29 EUR. I still haven't found "Lord Crimson", for example. I would like to see a DLC with more racing levels (with the hover bike).

Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm This breaks my heart The original oceanhorn is one of my favorite indie games of all time, I absolutely love it, so needless to say I was excited to jump into the sequal to this Zelda clone, and ocean horn got even Zelda clonier, but not in a good way as this is more of a 3rd person action adventure Zelda clone rather than a top down cute puzzle adventure.. once the game started I was even more excited, this 8 hour long game is beautiful, you can tell so much care and attention went into crafting this world, this was not a rush job, there was actual effort put into oceanhorn 2, everything works the way its intended.. its just that.. I found oceanhorn 2 not fun to actually play.. it just isn’t… the gameplay hook is run to this spot and figure out how to get to the next spot, going through various dungeons, solving puzzles withte various items you unlock or with the help of your companions to progress the story, taking down enemies, finally taking down a boss as you attempt to return each of this games emblems to their rightful spot, and all the while I was bored out of my mind, the world is no fun to explore and find its treasures, the design of these dungeons are bland, the combat here is so unfun, and the game overall just felt unintuitive to play, it auto jumps for you which is awkward and frustrating during platforming sections, the roll is the usual jump button which just never feels right, some puzzles require consumable items to solve, so if you mess up you have to run around searching for more to try out this new mechanic the game is trying to teach you all over again… oceanhorn 2 is just a hassle to get through. And there are no interesting characters, bosses or story to drag you through..8 hours should never feel like 20.. and it does here I sat down expecting to play another under the radar sleeper hit like the first and unfortunately rather than create a solid Zelda like series, the developers of this game seems to be choosing to literally chase the zelda dragon and im expecting oceanhorn 3 to be some breath of the wild clone.. perfect the good you have first before you try to tackle the next form of this genre I give Oceanhorn 2: knights of the lost realm a 6/10

I really enjoyed the first oceanhorn game! I finished this one, but I found this one to be pretty frustrating throughout. The controls and game physics were super clunky: bombs or barrels would routinely "stick" halfway up a wall, camera angles would be consistently pointing the wrong way, I found the "jump" mechanic to be super arbitrary (could often get into areas I wasn't supposed to be able to by just running at a wall for a bit) and the boundaries (or lack thereof while swimming) seemed extremely arbitrary. Because of this I found myself getting annoyed rather than enjoying the story. There was very little incentive in any of the side quests or to explore, especially as you have to do so at walking speed (with the occasional run). Unlocking the hover bike would've been a great way to help people explore without being penalised with a huge amount of wasted walking time. The map was clunky, as there was no way to mark areas you wanted to come back to and there were no labels anywhere. It took me half the game to realise I could throw things, as the mechanics were never clear and you didn't need to be able to do this until late in the game. Similarly the electric ammo / switch mechanic wasn't intuitive. All in all a bit of a disappointment for me. The game looks gorgeous, but I just wasn't able to enjoy like the first.
