I'm evaluating the game within the current context, and unlike the previous installment, I didn't find this one as groundbreaking or interesting. Fans should definitely play it, but for the average person, it's questionable, it's a mediocre.

I am 32 now and played this game Age 5 to 10 and in my teens missed
The scenery and soundtrack need for speed
Has been the thing that has inspired me to be In love with games and cars all over again
And the main menu theme always melts away my bad feelings I won’t forget this game

Way better than the previous entry in the series. This game controls pretty good, and it's a lot more arcadey and fun then The Need For Speed on PS1. However the PC version of this game is far superior.
