If you’re a fan of hidden object games, then My Brother Rabbit is certainly worth looking into. It’s not perfect, and can be both tedious and frustrating at times, but its pros outweigh its cons for sure. This is a game that definitely won’t be for everyone, however, and it’s likely that it will only appeal to a somewhat niche audience.

I thoroughly enjoyed the story in the game because it stirred up a number of different emotions and it was compelling throughout my time with the game. The presentation side of the game enhanced both the story and gameplay because the visuals and sound design have both been done perfectly. On the whole the gameplay was fun and enjoyable because it has variety dotted throughout and I especially found that to be the case when it came to the mini-games. Some of the puzzles did lack a challenge it still didn’t stop me from enjoying them because each puzzle had quite a bit of creativeness present. Technically the game holds up really well throughout and I didn’t come across any issues at all. I would’ve have liked to have been challenged a little more because it can be too easy at times. The game is a little on the short side and once completed you’re highly unlikely to return back to the game. I found the pace to be a little too slow at times and more urgency would’ve made things matter more in my opinion. You all know I’m a massive fan of Artifex Mundi’s game’s but I must admit that I thought their offerings were going a bit stale and in my opinion they needed to deliver something new and thankfully they have. My Brother Rabbit feels different in a number of areas and to say I enjoyed both what the story and gameplay had to offer would be a massive understatement. In fact I enjoyed the emotional story that much that it made me look past the lack of challenge the game has at times. I would however have liked the pace to have been a little quicker in some parts because it can drag a little but in a way I understand why they kept the pace slow because it does allow you to focus more on the game’s nice and creative puzzles. The pace also allows you to focus on the variety that’s present in the gameplay as well and when it’s all said and done My Brother Rabbit gets a big recommendation from me, and if you’re a fan of Artifex Mundi then this is a game you can not miss.

Putting the minor visual issues and familiar mini-games aside, My Brother Rabbit is a must have for point-and-click aficionados thanks to it being a lovely experience with a heartfelt tale and a ton of clever puzzles to overcome.

My Brother Rabbit’s dual story offers a charming, warm and somewhat emotional adventure. Special mention goes to the game’s gorgeously drawn artwork, together with its wonderful soundtrack. It’s easily the most distinct point-and-click game that we’ve seen from Artifex Mundi so far, and despite its lack of difficulty, it’s a journey worth taking, one that’s filled with character and splendor throughout.

Is a beautiful game. Perfect to play together with the family, kids, adults and the elderly that loves puzzles will find this a fun challenge. A melancholy soundtrack dreamed of by Arkadiusz Reikowski (Layers of Fear, Seven: The Days Long Gone) and Emi Evans (NieR: Automata, Dark Souls) accompanies the stunning hand-painted views of the My Brother Rabbit.
