Without spoiling the ending, I enjoyed how the team reminisced on some of the major plotlines of the series. I had fun remembering the team's adventures over the last 11 months, but I wish the story had spent a little more time on the events in this episode. Despite some awesome action scenes, the events of the episode feel rushed and the overall conclusion ends abruptly, leaving me unsatisfied with how everything plays out.

As a self-contained episode, it's good and fun; as a season finale, disappointing. This episode isn't bad, but this isn't the best Telltale either.

As the ending to the first season, the eighth episode of Minecraft: Story Mode delivers an emotional pay-off. However, the game's still a technical mess, while the story once more didn't manage to keep our attention throughout its runtime.

The final episode of Minecraft Story Mode is a mixed one. The standalone adventures are a great addition to the series, but with its open ending, we're left in the dark with where to go next. And Telltale probably feels the same.

Inoffensive, and pleasing enough as finales go, but there’s a clear feeling that Minecraft Story Mode could have, and should have, finished much stronger than this. In truth, it did, four episodes ago.

The episode doesn’t really close out the story of the Order of the Stone as a whole and really only makes it an addition to one of the many adventures that Jessie will have.

Well, it didn't make me cry, hahahaha. However, it was sort of tear jerking reminiscence on how far the group had came and all the adventures they had gone through together to get to the point they found themselves at the end. I hope they go in a similar direction with the second chapter of this series. It was by far the best episode of this series, in my honest opinion, and the feel good story of the year for video games. This episode had me laughing out loud at least three times and once it had me bellowing out of control. Would've given it a 10, but the episode did feel rushed, especially in the penultimate scenes. Overall, I love the writing the most. The gameplay was good, as was the atmosphere, but the writing took the cape and crown as it should with telltale games. I would rank this as my third favorite telltale game, which is saying A LOT from a telltale fan that has played all of their games on the PlayStation.
