A “Mini Man” developed by the studio that gave us 10 Mega Man games – do you need a better recommendation? [10/2015, p.75]

Mighty Gunvolt intends to be a tribute to the 8-bit era of Mega Man...and quite a fitting tribute it is, all the conventions of the 8-bit action game are accurately portrayed in this bonus giveaway which comes along Azure Striker Gunvolt.

Mighty Gunvolt is very very short, even for its budget price, but still pays an emotional tribute to the 8-bit age in a very very awesome way.

Mighty Gunvolt certainly seems appealing at first glance, but if you didn't get this game as an extra it's simply not worth it. While it's a good game, it's also incredibly short, with very little to offer, despite having 3 characters to play with. If the game just made a few more changes to the stages for each character, or simply extend the game a bit it probably be worth more, but as it stands it's best for it to be a promotional item than a package on it's own.

A light but fun romp that echoes some of the early Mega Man games, Mighty Gunvolt is easy to recommend for fans of that series or Azure Striker Gunvolt. It's also a nice palate cleanser for anyone still lamenting the failure of its other namesake, Mighty No. 9.

I bought this game yesterday. I have 100% completed it. in about a few hours and I'm not mad about it. Becuase the game was less then 3 bucks. If you love platformers buy this game without a doubt but if you are iffy on platformers. this will not change your mind

It’s fine-tuned in every way, with satisfying gameplay, graphics and sound that accurately represent the 8-bit era they pay homage to.

Mighty Gunvolt is short, but sweet. It's not incredibly difficult, but it's not necessarily meant to be, either. It's an experience more than a full-fledged game, a taste of what Inti Creates is capable of when they strip everything away and go back to the 8-bit style and aesthetic they proved to know so much about when creating Mega Man 9 and 10.

With a lack of difficulty, a dearth of originality, and a criminally short running time, fans are far better off sticking with the characters' original games.

Mighty Gunvolt isn't incredibly long, but it's a heck of a lot of fun to play. Fans of Mega Man will not be disappointing. It makes for a great add-on to Azure Striker or a fun adventure to hold you until Mighty Number 9.

Look, Mighty Gunvolt is an amazing and well worth the price, but the game isn't perfect. I've only played about 15 minutes into the game as Beck, but there are some questionable mechanics and cheap deaths at times. However, this collaboration between Inafune's non-Capcom titles is worth the $5 I spent and is probably the closest thing we'll ever get to a Megaman title nowadays (aside from Megaman VS Street Fighters).
