The pinnacle of the series - honest to the original concept, but faster and better looking. [Dec 2008, p.76]

In Midnight Club: Los Angeles’s case, the engine behind its essence—Rage—is good enough to make this title a standout, even though it isn’t particularly packed with genre-inspiring features. While this may be a letdown for those early-adopting, cutting-edge types, those who rank “go” above the “show” in the list of their racing-game prerequisites will consider Midnight Club: Los Angeles a real cream puff.

I don't care what you all say. THIS IS THE BEST RACING GAME EVER!
(YES, EVEN BETTER THEN NFS MOST WANTED 2005) The soundtrack is just like you won a lottery, the job that Rockstar Games did on this man! The mechanics everything is perfect! The vibe of Los Angeles!
The R.A.G.E engine was PERFECT in this game!

Sure, it doesn't have the grandeur and scope of the Gran Turismo series, or the freewheeling mayhem of Burnout, but it does bring a style all it's own to the genre. With plenty of rides, modes, and personality to spare, this title is definitely worthy of having a spot on your automotive mantle, as long as you're up to the challenge!

Despite a lopsided difficulty Midnight Club L.A. is quite enjoyable, especially if the previous installments hit home.

Midnight Club LA stays loyal to the series and is by far the most complete and finished version. The game is still a little bit unforgiving and frustrating but keeps it to a minimum. In contradiction, the game offers a very lively Los Angeles and the controls offers you exactly what need: to manouvre through traffic with mind boggling speed.

Midnight Club is fast, beautiful, and way too hard.

Thanks to the numerous computer-related balancing issues and somewhat punishing controls, it can oftentimes be more annoying than fun.

graphics: 8
Sound: 9
Handling: 5
cars: 3 First things first i cannot see anything in dark areas in this game and thats super annoying. Second the game is super unforgiving. I didnt know i bought dark souls bro . Whenever i turn in a corner the car slides like im driving on ice irrespective of the car im driving. Progression is super slow. It feels really grindy. The carsin the showroom are very limited and only like 2-3 cars can do 200 mph. Customization is super good in this game and the opeb world is amazing to just cruise around in as expected from rockstar. The dialogue is super funny at times. The games gives you way too many missions at one time. At one point my mission log was full of like 47incomplete missions. The graphics are really good even by todays standards and probably mind blowing back then. Thr car sounds are just incredible though. The sound fx in general are really good.

Graphics: 7.0 Sound: 8.0 Gameplay: 7.5 Fun/Story: 7.0 A fairly game that promises too much before released. Some interesting points and ideas but overall i didn´t enjoyed it. Graphics were a deception.

This game has a few good things to talk about and lots of bad things let's start off with the good First it has pretty good graphics. Second you have the ability to customize your cars to your desire. That's about all the good you could get now here comes the bad part. First the story can get brutally hard. Second you level up super S-L-O-W. You have to complete a lot of races to upgrade cars and buy new cars. Finally it just gets down right frustrating and unplayable. This is not recommended from my view if you want intense gameplay this isn't it.
