Absolute masterpiece, and the ending would make any grown man cry. A beautiful end to Solid Snake's journey.

First and one of the only MSG's i've played, never got into these games, most of these games are slow burns and its 30 hours of it. This one was just brilliant, the heavy weight of a espionage veteran slowly dying, the weapon customization, the endings of several bosses, and the combat settings are fun as hell.

This game is Artwork, the ending It's exciting, I've never seen anything like it.Something similar, I loved it.Everything about this game, the graphic quality, was excellent for its **** also all the scenes Notable AND Cinematographic And not even if Talk about the soundtrack That's amazing! Really I expect one Remake or an adaptation for PC.

MGS4 es una película interrumpida por momentos jugables. Su obsesión por cerrar la saga convierte el juego en un ejercicio de nostalgia, fanservice y exposición constante. El sistema existe, pero está subordinado a la cinematografía y al monólogo autoral. Hay tres o cuatro momentos donde el juego asoma y recuerda lo que pudo ser, pero enseguida vuelve a desaparecer bajo capas de escenas, discursos y autocomplacencia. Es un epílogo innecesariamente largo que confunde cierre con saturación. Los bosses son quizá el aspecto más interesante y, aún así, estos no llegan a la altura de otros de la saga.

MGS все таки больше кино опыт нежели игровой, его больше смотришь как сериал, хотя битвы с боссами местами сделаны оригинально, заставляют немного поразмыслить над тактикой прохождения, но головоломки совсем не сложные. Сюжет, без знакомства с героями и событиями из прошлых частей, потеряет весомую долю не только обаяния, но и понимания что к чему движется. Рассчитано в первую очередь на фанатов, или тех кто хотя бы немного играл в предыдущие части. Первые два MGS были мной пройдены, третью часть я видел в пересказе, по этому был рад видеть старых героев, и отсылки в целом распознавал. Экшен сцены, даже по сегодняшним меркам великолепны, CQC до Джона Уика, все вот это у Кодзимы за долго до того как уйдет в мейнстрим. Разговоров по кодеку, то есть радиопостановки здесь сильно меньше чем было в старых частях, но актерская игра и визуальная часть даже по прошествии стольких лет, выглядит как топовый современный сериал. Смотреть интересно, играть в целом тоже, но геймплея как такового не много. Около философские вопросы про войну и солдат и построение кадра на 9 и 10. Низкий поклон Кодзиме и Конами.

Some of the best cutscenes, characters, voice acting i've ever seen. It's amazing how good this game looked on PS3 for 2008. Solid gameplay even though half the game is cutscenes. The story is super convoluted but they spend the duration of the game tying everything together pretty well. Overall excellent

I think this is an awesome game, but I’d only recommend it to people who are already fans and have been following the Metal Gear story. The plot delivers a perfect conclusion to Solid Snake’s final mission, tying up a lot of unanswered questions while keeping the suspense high. Gameplay is great too — everything feels improved, and there’s a ton of variety with all the equipment and weapon customization options.

This game is the greatest game I've ever played , the best story in the entire series and for me the best gaming story i had X2 fun with this game because i was playing this masterpiece with my father and it was soooo fun , i was really excited to explain the entire series for my father because for some reason he didn't like the old games because of the graphics but when he saw MGS4 he admitted that he misjudged the games and the story , i know the cutscens are very long but they are very very worth watching it and the flashbacks in this game are out of this world this is soo genius putting historical events from the previous games into a flashback even to this day i didn't find a game with this mechanic i wish i could experience the game for the first time again , personally this is the best game I've ever played 10/10 for sure .

What can i say about this game, its personally my favorite game of all time, Kojima never stops to amaze me, this saga never stops to amaze me, everything is perfect the charchters, the story, the graphics, the gameplay, the rythm, the storytelling, how many emotion this game can make you feel, cant find a bad thing about that maybe the only bad thing is the fact that's only on ps3 but for the rest, it is the greatest game of all time

Metal Gear Solid 4 is all of the worst elements of Hideo Kojima wrapped up in one miserable package. When MGS4 actually allows you to press buttons, you're given the same quality Metal Gear gameplay you'd expect. Unfortunately, this is few and far between, as MGS4 is basically a movie where gameplay occasionally interrupts your viewing experience. If the story of MGS4 was up to par with the previous games in the series, this wouldn't be quite as painful. However, any meaningful commentary about the nature of war is sidelined by a character-driven story so cheesy and poorly written that it wouldn't pass for a daytime soap opera. Furthermore, you will often play for only minutes before being forced to endure an hour or so of non-stop boring exposition dumps. Metal Gear Solid 4 is simply one of the most overrated "games" ever made, and is a shining example of what happens when a creator's ego is inflated to an underserved level, and that ego goes completely unchecked.

This game is an amazing game and masterpiece in my opinion. It still holds up today and in a way is technically still the true canonical ending of the MGS series. Definitely still worth a playthrough. The cutscenes still hold up and make the game like a movie.

This might actually be the best MGS game ever. The graphics are excellent even for the PS3 and the gameplay is fun. The story is also pretty good.

While Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2 are a bit lighter in terms of story, Metal Gear Solid 4 has a story and gameplay level that rivals Legend 3. I highly recommend everyone who loves story games to try this series without saying that the old graphics are bad and not playing it.

O exclusivo jogo do Kojima sempre é uma boa experiência nova, a historia dessa vez é sobre guerras e todos os aspectos que envolvem ela e o mundo. A tecnologia no mundo de Metal Gear avançou tanto que parece que estamos nos aproximando dela. A narrativa é sensacional, conectando bastante com os jogos anteriores principalmente com o MGS1 com muita nostalgia que deixa qualquer fã ouriçado. O ritmo da história bem cadenciado com muitos minutos de cutcenes e gameplay, até o final ela te surpreende. A gameplay melhorou muito desde Snake Eater, com gameplay over the shoulder e camuflagem automática que as vezes torna o jogo fácil até demais. A variedade de armas é bem ampla, adaptando pra qualquer estilo de gameplay que você deseje passar pelos inimigos, que em alguns momentos na guerra dão spawn bem em cima de você se estiver perto da fonte deles. Os cenários não são vivos quanto do MGS3, porém o contexto sobressai nessa parte onde passamos por lugares devastados pela ação humana, passando esse ar de melancolia, ódio, psicopatia e medo, que ficam em destaque na narrativa. Dito isso, é fantastico como esse diretor faz a gente se conctar com os persoangens e o Snake te deixando tensão em varias partes e pensativo em outras, com tudo isso, Metal Gear Solid 4: Suns of The Patriots é um jogão. Nota final: 9,1

Octopus suit is so cool, every cutscene is insane, gameplay great, less codec calls so it's a bit sad, story a bit less good and harder to understand than other games, love the ps3 piss filter aestetic, one of the best end boss fights, could have been a 10 but akiba is in the game

An epic conclusion to Solid Snake's story. This is an exciting, but gloomy end-of-the-world thriller with the hero picking up his guns for one last ride. Series creator Hideo Kojima ties up every plot thread from the previous installments. Unfortunately, "Patriots” is more of a movie than a game. It has loads of never ending cutscenes. But it's still a weird masterpiece. I would rate it with a 9.3 out of 10.

I do not understand the hate this game gets. It was the last MGS game I played after finishing all the main releases, and let me tell you i cried to my arse.

Fantastic game. The best chapter is the first one but the gameplay is excellent throughout. The plot is overly convoluted and gets tiresome by the time you reach the final credits but the gameplay is so much fun that it doesn't really matter. It is a testament to Kojima's great talent that after 4 installments, all the games are still unique and excellent in their own way.

Metal gear solid 4 possui uma gameplay que te faz refletir como em 2008 foi possível fazer isso se tornar realidade em tão pouco tempo de vida do PS3, junto de uma história magnifica e uma trilha sonora memorável.

Masterpiece, the best ending to the series 1010 game. Replaying this series in chronological order and finishing it with this game makes you realize how good this story is.

A fantastic conclusion to the Metal Gear story. I thought every detail of this game was incredibly well thought out and works very well. I loved the parts where you have to sneak through a battlefield. You can see the war unfold, with each side fighting and pushing each other back. Different military vehicles aid the factions. It's incredibly dynamic and I loved it. I also really liked the story. It was sad, awesome and conclusive. The characters were fantastic. The missions were all unique and engaging. I love this game a lot. I'd definitely recommend playing this game after playing all the other Metal Gear games, otherwise, it'll probably be confusing.

This was my first MGS game, I thought the graphics at the time were amazing, the storyline was decent, the gameplay was fun but a little difficult and not as rewarding as others in the genre. My biggest complaint were the cutscenes, this was the first game I remember where this saturation of cutscenes tainted the game. Just when I was getting into it a 2 hour cutscene kills all the joy, this is a trend that continues today and its one of the biggest things I hate about modern gaming.

While Guns of the Patriots boasts lashings of in-game invention and creativity that's largely wrapped up in superb style and execution, it's all so unforgivably tainted by jaw-dropping gameplay brevity that it's truly difficult to raise the many, many good points above what is, for the most part, a succession of cut scenes that leave the player with an overwhelming sense of disconnection from one of gaming's most compelling characters and interactive franchises.

How wonderful, I thought GRAND THEFT AUTO IV WAS AWESOME. But this game, everything about it is incredible, how Hideo Kojima made this game run on the PLAYSTATION 3, it's unimaginable... Well speaking of graphics, it manages to be the best of 2008 by far. In every case hahaha... Its cutscenes are really, really big, it's scary hahaha. But that's the price you have to pay for playing such a masterpiece...

The superior processing power of the PS3 meant that Hideo Kojima's vision could finally be fully realised with truly cinematic cut scenes, a far more intuitive control system and more forgiving difficulty level; you can actually fight your way out of situations instead of discovery meaning an instant "GAME OVER". Some of the dialogue and characterisation is still a little clunky, but no more than your average anime movie. A classic bit of stealth gaming.

Gameplay has oddly aged worse than that of the first 3 titles. The story has an insanely interesting premise (an economy run by private military contactors) but is drowned out by fan service. MGS2 is the pinnacle of the series in shaping the game around its themes, boldly excising familiar characters where they don't serve the premise being explored. The most interesting aspects of MGS4 are drowned out by catch-up sessions with characters from MGS2-4 and extravagantly long cutscenes that seem to exist only for Kojima to prove he could make an action movie if given a chance.

So, this is probably my most decisive game in the series for me. On one hand: the game looks amazing and at the time was the pinnacle of videogame graphics, the gameplay is the most refined its ever been and the most enjoyable to play, and the last act of the game is an amazing end to the Metal Gear Series. But on the other hand: the story kinda gets too ridiculous at some points (even for Metal Gear), I have mixed feelings about the fate of many characters from the series, and the Beauty and the Beast bosses are the creepiest parts of the game, like they legit made me feel uncomfortable with how proactive the gratuitous camera angles were. And some of the cutscenes go on for WAY too long. It feels like nobody reigned in Kojima and he kinda a George Lucas moment. However, like I said, he nails the landing in the last act of the game. There are three moments in particular, one of them being the final boss fight, that are some of the most iconic moments in videogame history. So, despite its flaws, I more or less enjoyed the final game in the Metal Gear series. Kojima, you're pretty good.

Este juego es una obra de arte, es un juego que cierra muy bien la historia de esta saga. Sus gráficos para la fecha eran de otro nivel y la historia es digna para una serie actual. Lo único malo es que solo se puede jugar en la PlayStation, espero que lo agreguen en una futura master collection.

Es un juego brutal que cierra increíblemente la historia de metal gear. Jugablemente es magnífico, y aunque es cierto que tiene muchas cinemáticas, no lo encuentro un gran problema como tal, ya que se separan muy bien las partes cinemáticas de las secciones jugables. El problema viene con las secciones en sí, ya que las siento muy cortas, escasas, los jefes no me resultan tan interesantes.

There’s no doubt that “Guns” is a great accomplishment. It has fantastic graphics and is packed with amazing moments and innovative features. But the length of the cutscenes will certainly test the patience of many players. The story itself picks up many years after “Sons of Liberty”. It is a worthy final entry in the adventures of Solid Snake. If you’re a fan of sci-fi action epics, then you’re going to love this. I would rate it with a 9.3 out of 10. .
