Cinescape
With the incredible soundtrack and the emotions that the game invokes, Frontline is one of the best games of the year.

The controls may be a little iffy at first, the frame rate drops ever so-often; but the war sounds and game play more than make up for every fault the game has.

This game is my childhood with COD finest hour. Everything was done from scratch. It was a golden age of gaming. If you can find a ps2 and want to dive into the past, this is it.

Imagine Goldeneye, but James Bond was a WW2 veteran. 20 unforgivingly breathtaking missions of kicking German ass awaits in one of the best WW2 games ever made. The only letdown was the absence of multiplayer. 5/5 stars.

Into Liquid Sky
A wonderful single player experience. While there isn't an overall story to the game, the cutscenes and mission briefs add depth and flavor to the game.

GameSpot
It's visually impressive and aurally incredible, and it essentially is a superb entry in the shooter genre.

Electronic Gaming Monthly
The linear missions and non-interactive environments don't hold their own when compared to feature-rich PS2 shooters like "Red Faction" or "Deus Ex." But none of that matters, because in this game, presentation is everything. [July 2002, p.116]

IGN
MOHF overcomes its weaknesses by delivering a unique and genuine gameplay experience unlike anything. Some of the levels are amazing, while others fall into step behind the last two iterations of the series.

PSX Nation
Huge levels are constrained by pre-determined paths, action sequences are harshly pre-determined and any sense that you might have be able to affect the outcome is sapped by the largely obvious mission objectives.

[ENG] Score: 7.1/10.0 Medal of Honor: Frontline for PlayStation 2 is a World War II first-person shooter that tries to deliver a cinematic experience by recreating some of the most important battles of the conflict. The campaign has several memorable moments, especially the Normandy landing introduction, which remains one of the strongest parts of the game thanks to its atmosphere, tension, and impressive presentation. The gameplay offers a solid military shooter experience, with a reliable control system and the option to use a more classic aiming style or a marksman-like approach. The weapon selection is one of the game’s strengths, featuring many historical weapons from World War II. Some weapons are extremely satisfying to use, such as the Springfield rifle, Gewehr 43, silenced pistol, and MG42, while others suffer from inaccurate aiming or disappointing firing rates. The fixed weapon sections, including machine guns and cannons, add variety and make some missions more dynamic. The soundtrack supports the action well and helps create an appropriate war atmosphere. The main problems are the passive enemy AI, some technical bugs, occasional frustrating weapon accuracy, distant checkpoints, and a few unbalanced difficulty spikes. Some missions and objectives also fail to maintain the same quality level as the strongest sections of the campaign. It is not a perfect game, but its variety of weapons, cinematic presentation, and historical setting make it an enjoyable experience that still holds value today.

Ps2-game
A great fps title. One of the greatest WW2 games of all time as well. It has great level diversity. I had so much of my childhood spent up trying to beat this game and it never happened. Luckily i got better. I give it an 7 cuz i think a grenade indicator was to futuristic for this game as well as slightly longer loading. It has a great soundtrack though and amazing action packed missions.
