[ENG] score: 7.0/10.0 Chorus is a game that impressed me mainly because of its gameplay, while the story left me with several doubts. The space combat is easily the strongest part. Forsaken feels very responsive and enjoyable to control, with dodging, boosting, machine guns, lasers, missiles and different rituals providing several options during combat. The combat system is fluid and the semi open world structure allows you to travel through different space systems. The graphics, environments and sound design also create a good sci fi atmosphere. Nara is the strongest part of the story. Her past, guilt, inner conflict and especially her relationship with Forsaken provide a good foundation for the narrative. Unfortunately, the rest of the cast is much less developed. Many characters mainly communicate through radio, which makes their relationships feel less personal. The world of Chorus also contains many interesting ideas, but I do not think they are explored as deeply as they could be. The biggest weakness for me is the villains. The Circle and its main members are presented as a major threat, but they are often described as dangerous rather than properly developed as antagonists. The Great Prophet is particularly important to Nara's past, yet he does not have enough presence to create a strong personal conflict. I also found some side missions uninteresting, the difficulty curve frustrating, and experienced some technical problems on PC, including freezes. The ending tries to create a strong emotional moment, but I did not feel that the story had built enough emotional foundation for it to work. Overall, Chorus has excellent space combat and an interesting protagonist, but its story, supporting characters and especially its villains are much weaker.

Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven

Sep 17, 2026
[ENG] Score: 7.6/10 Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven is a solid evolution of the series that improves many aspects of its PlayStation predecessors while retaining the same core stealth formula. The addition of a lock-on system is one of the most important improvements, making direct combat and enemy tracking considerably easier. Stealth is also expanded with new assassination animations, additional movement options, and several unlockable ninja abilities earned through successful stealth kills. The game offers three playable characters: Rikimaru, Ayame, and the secret character Tesshu. Each provides a different experience, while multiple endings and optional content add some replay value. The stealth system remains the main attraction, with multiple approaches to missions, environmental positioning, and a variety of ninja tools. The darker and bloodier presentation also gives the game a stronger atmosphere than the earlier PlayStation titles. However, Wrath of Heaven still feels tied to the older design of the series. The controls are improved but remain somewhat unintuitive, while the camera continues to cause problems, particularly during combat. Enemy AI is also fairly simple, with predictable patrols and basic alert behavior. Direct combat is more manageable than in previous games, but it remains relatively shallow, and some advanced ninja abilities are unnecessarily complex and difficult to use effectively. The tool system is also restrictive despite allowing more items to be carried, and several tools are not sufficiently useful against ordinary enemies. Some stealth kills are spectacular but can take too long, leaving the player vulnerable to detection. Several maps are reused between characters, reducing the variety of the campaigns, while some missions remain relatively linear. Narratively, the plot is fragmented between Rikimaru and Ayame, some character motivations are underdeveloped, and Tesshu's campaign is only loosely connected to the main storyline. The endings are also somewhat underwhelming, while the return of Onikage and other antagonists is not explored as deeply as expected.

Tenchu 2: Birth of the Stealth Assassins

Sep 17, 2026
[ENG] Score: 7.4/10 Tenchu 2: Birth of the Stealth Assassins expands the foundation of the first game with a much more developed story, three playable characters, new stealth mechanics, additional movement options, underwater infiltration, and a mission editor. It retains the core identity of the series while providing a larger and more ambitious experience. Stealth remains the heart of the gameplay, with new maneuvers allowing the ninja to move and position themselves more effectively during infiltrations. The underwater stealth sections are a welcome addition, while the expanded collection of cinematic stealth kills gives assassinations more variety. The game also rewards stealth progression by unlocking new ninja abilities, adding another layer of progression to the missions. The three playable protagonists are one of the game's strongest features. Rikimaru, Ayame, and Tatsumaru each provide different perspectives and characteristics, with Tatsumaru's campaign being unlocked only after completing the campaigns of the other two. The story is considerably more developed than in the first game and gradually presents the events from different perspectives, creating a more complete narrative experience. The mission editor is another valuable addition, providing extra replayability beyond the main campaigns. However, Tenchu 2 still suffers from some of the same weaknesses as its predecessor. The controls remain cumbersome and unintuitive, while the camera can become frustrating during direct combat. Enemy AI is still fairly simple and predictable, and some enemies can repeatedly attack the player with very little opportunity to recover, especially after being knocked down. The inventory is also restrictive despite allowing more tools to be carried, while losing used equipment after a game over makes failed attempts particularly costly. The mission design can also feel repetitive, with some maps and structures reused between the different characters. Some areas can be confusing to navigate, and the game occasionally suffers from slowdowns when many enemies are simultaneously alerted. The cinematic stealth kills are visually impressive but can sometimes last long enough for other enemies to detect the player.

Tenchu: Stealth Assassins

Sep 9, 2026
[ENG] Score: 5.1/10 Tenchu: Stealth Assassins is an important early 3D stealth game built around infiltration, silent assassinations, and the use of ninja tools. Its missions allow players to make use of rooftops, walls, alternative routes, and different pieces of equipment, while Rikimaru and Ayame provide two protagonists with distinct characteristics. The mission ranking system also rewards players for remaining undetected and encourages more careful play. The ninja atmosphere is one of the game's strongest elements. The grappling hook is well integrated into exploration, allowing the protagonists to reach rooftops and elevated areas, while the Ki meter provides useful information about nearby enemies and their alert status. The game also offers a wide selection of ninja tools, including shuriken, smoke bombs, mines, poisoned rice, and other equipment that can support different approaches to missions. The soundtrack further strengthens the atmosphere.Unfortunately, the experience is heavily undermined by its controls. Movement is cumbersome and unintuitive, while the camera can make combat and positioning unnecessarily difficult. When stealth fails, direct combat becomes particularly frustrating: there is limited room for effective defensive options, fighting multiple enemies at once is extremely difficult, and enemies can repeatedly attack the player with very little opportunity to recover, especially after being knocked to the ground. These issues make many encounters far more frustrating than they should be. The enemy AI is also fairly unsophisticated, with predictable behavior and occasional strange movement patterns. The Ki meter does not always communicate vertical enemy positioning clearly, while the limited draw distance can make it harder to identify enemies before encountering them. The game's four-slot tool inventory is restrictive as well, and losing used equipment after a game over can make failed attempts especially frustrating. The presentation has also aged considerably. The English voice acting is weak and often sounds unnatural or unconvincing, while some dialogue and elements of the story can feel simplistic. The game's story itself is functional rather than particularly memorable, although the two protagonists and their individual perspectives provide some additional variety. La colonna sonora contribuisce ulteriormente all'atmosfera.Purtroppo, l'esperienza è fortemente limitata dai controlli.

Steelrising

User ScoreViktor_Max
Sep 4, 2026
[ENG] Final Score: 7.9/10 Steelrising is an interesting Soulslike that stands out thanks to its original alternate-history setting, combining the French Revolution with a distinctive steampunk world populated by deadly automatons. Its atmosphere and visual concept give the game a strong identity, while Aegis is a particularly enjoyable protagonist whose story gradually reveals the truth behind her artificial body and human soul. The combat system is one of the game's strongest aspects. Aegis has access to different classes, weapons, elemental attacks, special abilities and a useful overheating mechanic that can be exploited to recover stamina at the right moment. Immobilizing enemies and following up with critical attacks adds another layer to combat, while the movement abilities obtained throughout the adventure also improve exploration and open previously inaccessible areas. The Alchemist build is especially effective and satisfying to use. However, the combat balance is one of the game's biggest weaknesses. Bosses and minibosses are often far too easy, with powerful weapons and an excessive amount of consumables making many encounters much less demanding than they should be. Some weapons are also considerably more effective than others, further reducing the incentive to experiment. Enemy AI can be passive or behave strangely, while certain attacks suffer from inconsistent range and hit detection. The game also suffers from several technical problems, including visual glitches, animation issues, NPC bugs and crashes. Some apparently explorable areas are blocked by invisible walls, and the lack of a proper map makes navigation and backtracking less convenient. Side quests are generally less developed than the main gameplay experience, while New Game+ initially offers little incentive to continue, as the increased enemy power does not always translate into a more engaging challenge.

Batman Begins

Sep 2, 2026
[ENG] Score: 7.2/10 Batman Begins is a solid movie tie-in that successfully captures much of the atmosphere and story of Christopher Nolan's film. The game benefits from a good mixture of stealth, combat, platforming, puzzles, driving sections, and interrogation mechanics, while the fear system fits Batman's identity particularly well. The use of the actors' likenesses and voices also helps the game feel closely connected to the movie. The stealth is one of the game's strongest elements, encouraging Batman to eliminate enemies from the shadows rather than relying exclusively on direct combat. However, it is fairly simple and heavily scripted, often limiting the player's freedom. Combat is similarly effective but shallow, with a relatively small number of strategic options. Gadgets are useful for interrupting or temporarily neutralizing enemies, but they have limited impact on the overall combat system. The game also suffers from a very linear campaign, repetitive encounters and minigames, unconvincing enemy AI, and frequent interruptions caused by interrogating enemies. The Batmobile provides a welcome change of pace, but its sections are limited and not particularly memorable. The difficulty is also not especially impactful, while the short campaign and limited replay value reduce the incentive to return after completing it. Despite these shortcomings, Batman Begins remains an enjoyable and surprisingly faithful adaptation of the movie. Its atmosphere, variety of gameplay, stealth mechanics, and strong connection to the film make it worth experiencing, particularly for fans of Nolan's Batman.

Aug 31, 2026
[ENG] score 8.6/10 Batman: Arkham Knight is an ambitious and spectacular conclusion to the Arkham series. The combat feels more responsive and polished than in previous entries, while the expanded detective mechanics, new gadgets and especially the Batmobile significantly increase the variety of gameplay. Its biggest strength is the sheer amount of content. Gotham is filled with side missions, investigations, puzzles, collectibles, challenges and additional stories, creating a dense open-world experience that gives the player plenty to do beyond the main campaign. The Batmobile is an impressive addition and introduces several new mechanics, including vehicle combat, missiles, the 60mm cannon, afterburner, winch-based puzzles and various upgrades. However, its frequent use eventually becomes repetitive, particularly during later sections of the game and some of the Riddler challenges. The game also suffers from disappointing boss encounters. Several fights that could have been memorable traditional boss battles instead become Batmobile encounters, puzzle sequences or cooperative fights with other characters. The result is a weaker boss-fight lineup compared with previous Arkham games. There are also occasional technical issues, including AI and NPC glitches, texture anomalies, bugs and strange interface or text errors. The PC version deserves particular criticism because its 2015 launch was notoriously problematic. My own first experience in 2020, using a GTX 1050 Ti, was still extremely frustrating, with poor performance even after lowering the graphical settings. Modern hardware makes the game much easier to run today, but that original experience still affected my overall impression. Despite these problems, Arkham Knight succeeds as a huge Batman experience with excellent combat, impressive presentation, extensive side content and a remarkably detailed Gotham City. It does not surpass Arkham City for me, but it remains a very strong finale to the series.

Aug 27, 2026
[ENG] Score: 7.9/10 Triangle Strategy is a very good tactical RPG with a strong political narrative and a deep turn-based combat system. Battles make good use of terrain height, back attacks, follow-up attacks, weapon upgrades and the unique abilities of each character. One of its strongest features is the Conviction and Scales of Conviction system. Serenoa's dialogue choices influence his beliefs and can affect how other characters react to him, while major decisions are put to a vote and require persuasion. The political storyline is interesting and the many choices can lead to different developments throughout the campaign. The large cast also adds variety to the tactical gameplay, with characters fulfilling very different roles on the battlefield. However, the game has several weaknesses. There is a very large amount of dialogue, and it can become tiring after many hours. The narrative is also frequently interrupted by returning to the map and choosing between main story events, side events and exploration. Grinding can become frustrating, especially on higher difficulties, while the large roster can leave several characters underleveled. Enemy AI can also become surprisingly passive in certain battles, sometimes remaining inactive for multiple turns. Combat is additionally quite slow, even with the animation speed option. Despite these issues, Triangle Strategy remains a strong tactical RPG with excellent strategic depth and a memorable political story.

Aug 20, 2026
[ENG] Score: 7.6/10 Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is a fun and brutal FPS with fast combat, satisfying weapons and an ambitious story. Combat is the strongest part of the game. Weapons such as the Sturmgewehr, Laserkraftwerk and Schockhammer are excellent, while upgrades add variety to the gameplay. The different conditions of BJ and the three abilities gained after his decapitation also provide interesting options during combat. The campaign offers a good mix of firefights, stealth, exploration and narrative sections. Eva's Hammer is a welcome addition, allowing interaction with the resistance and more character development. BJ Blazkowicz remains a strong protagonist thanks to his personal history, relationship with Anya and struggles. Anya, Set, Fergus, Sigrun and Bombate are among the most memorable supporting characters. The story is also one of the game's weaknesses. Its constant shifts between serious drama, comedy and grotesque scenes can feel inconsistent. **** exaggerated portrayal, some scenes involving Anya and the strongly patriotic ending felt excessive to me. BJ surviving decapitation also requires a strong suspension of disbelief, while the **** headquarters on Venus is not convincingly explained. Gameplay has some flaws. Stealth is not always reliable, while large battles can become chaotic and favor direct combat over strategy. Some checkpoints are frustrating, certain areas are difficult to navigate and some secondary conversations are hard to hear. I also encountered minor visual glitches. Optimization was another major problem. Despite being released in 2017, the game can place a heavy load on the hardware compared with its visual quality, causing very high CPU temperatures and forcing me to use low graphical settings. Grace was also a character I found particularly irritating. Despite these issues, Wolfenstein II remains an enjoyable and memorable FPS with excellent weapons, strong combat and several great characters. It lacks consistency, but its best moments are genuinely impressive.

[ENG] Score: 6.3/10 Project Eden for the pc is an ambitious sci-fi adventure centered around four specialists who must work together to explore a mysterious underground world. Switching between characters is the game's main mechanic and is used extensively for puzzles, exploration and environmental interactions. The team-based gameplay remains its biggest strength. Each character has a practical role, the puzzle design can be clever, and the game gradually builds a disturbing atmosphere through abandoned facilities, mutated creatures and darker environments. The mission system and detailed information logs are also useful additions. However, Project Eden has several major weaknesses. Combat is clumsy and imprecise, companion AI is unreliable and enemies lack variety. The game also relies heavily on backtracking, forcing the player to revisit areas repeatedly, while some objectives and puzzles are not explained clearly **** story has an interesting central mystery, but its antagonist and several plot developments feel underdeveloped and lack convincing explanations. The soundtrack also suffers from repetitive loops and abrupt transitions. Project Eden is an ambitious game with a genuinely interesting cooperative design, but its rough execution prevents it from becoming a great sci-fi adventure.

[ENG] Score: 6.3/10 Project Eden for the PS2 is a sci-fi action adventure from 2001 built around a four-character team. Each member has different abilities, and switching between them is essential for solving environmental puzzles and progressing through the various areas. Its strongest feature is the cooperative gameplay structure. The characters all have useful roles, the puzzles often require their abilities to be combined, and the other information provide useful support. The descent from the upper parts of the city into darker underground areas also creates a surprisingly atmospheric experience. Unfortunately, the combat is much less successful. Shooting feels rigid, enemy AI is weak and the AI-controlled teammates can behave poorly or become stuck. Backtracking is also excessive and frequently interrupts the pace, while some puzzles require too much trial and error. The PS2 version is additionally held back by occasional freezes and performance problems. Project Eden has an interesting concept and a memorable atmosphere, but its rough combat, navigation and technical issues keep it from reaching its full potential.

Total War: WARHAMMER

Aug 15, 2026
[ENG] Score: 6.4/10 Total War: WARHAMMER is a solid introduction to the Total War formula in the Warhammer fantasy universe. The four launch factions; Empire, Dwarfs, Vampire Counts and Greenskins are genuinely different, with unique units, economies, technologies and campaign mechanics rather than simply cosmetic variations. The real-time battles are the game's strongest aspect. Armies can combine infantry, cavalry, artillery, monsters and flying units, while the magic system adds another layer of tactical possibilities. Lords and Heroes can also level up during the campaign and gain new abilities, while Legendary Lord quests provide additional objectives and dedicated battles.Faction identity is particularly successful. Dwarfs can use underway routes, Vampire Counts rely on corruption and undead units, while Greenskins use Fightiness and can generate a Waaagh!, creating a second army that follows the main force. Raiding and confederation also fit the aggressive Greenskin playstyle well. However, this first entry has several limitations. Unit variety within individual factions is more limited than in later games, which can make longer campaigns repetitive. The AI is not always convincing, sieges are less satisfying than field battles, and several mechanics are poorly explained, making the game less accessible to newcomers. Campaign movement is also somewhat inconvenient, and the limited number of launch factions reduces the overall variety. Despite these shortcomings, the strong fantasy atmosphere, spectacular battles and highly distinctive factions make Total War: WARHAMMER a worthwhile entry, although it feels noticeably less complete than its successors.

[ENG] Score: 6.5/10 Squirrel with a Gun is a small and unusual sandbox platformer built around a simple but immediately recognizable concept: playing as a squirrel armed with guns. The best aspect is how the weapons are integrated into the movement. Shooting can be used to jump, travel through the environment and reach certain platforms, making the weapons useful for both combat and exploration. The variety of weapons, physics-based puzzles, collectibles and absurd situations also add to the experience. Unfortunately, the game remains fairly simple. The controls and camera can be imprecise, the combat lacks depth and the initial novelty of the concept wears off after a few hours. The sandbox structure also feels limited compared to more ambitious games, while technical issues and bugs can occasionally interfere with the experience. Despite these limitations, Squirrel with a Gun succeeds in delivering a distinctive and entertaining experience thanks to its absurd concept and creative use of weapons.

Aug 7, 2026
[ENG] Score: 6.9/10 God of War: Ascension is a visually impressive prequel with several interesting gameplay ideas, but it struggles to match the impact of the main entries in the series. Combat offers more variety through the Blades of Chaos and their elemental affinities: Ares, Poseidon, Zeus and Hades each change Kratos' attacks and provide different offensive options. The magical abilities and elemental special attacks further expand the system. However, the blades can sometimes feel surprisingly weak, while enemy grabs, interruptions and lengthy animations frequently break the flow of combat. Large encounters can also become chaotic due to the number of enemies and visual **** environmental gameplay is one of the game's strongest aspects. The Amulet of Uroboros, Orkos' Oath Stone and the Eyes of Truth are well integrated into exploration and puzzle-solving. Puzzles are generally more elaborate than in previous entries, making better use of timing and environmental mechanisms. The R1 grapple mechanic is also effectively integrated into combat, platforming and exploration. Unfortunately, the linear level design restricts exploration, while some platforming sections suffer from poor visual clarity. The Amulet of Uroboros can also require Kratos to stand in specific positions, creating unnecessary movement. The bosses are generally enjoyable but less memorable than those in God of War III. Camera direction is a particular problem during encounters such as Briareus, where constant camera changes and cinematic sequences can make it difficult to understand Kratos' position and identify targets. The story is one of the stronger aspects, earning 8.5/10 in my personal evaluation. However, frequent flashbacks make the narrative somewhat discontinuous, and the story feels less emotionally memorable than other main entries. Kratos himself is also less compelling, while Orkos and the Furies provide some of the most interesting characters in the game. Visually, Ascension remains one of the most impressive PS3 titles, with detailed environments and spectacular set pieces. Its opening immediately establishes a strong sense of scale. Overall, Ascension is a solid prequel with excellent presentation, improved puzzles, interesting combat mechanics and memorable antagonists. However, inconsistent combat flow, camera problems, linear exploration and a less impactful story keep it from reaching the series' best.

[ENG] Score: 8.2/10 God of War: Ghost of Sparta is an excellent PSP action game that expands Kratos' past with an emotional story focused on Deimos and his family. The combat is still fast and satisfying, with the Blades of Athena, the Arms of Sparta, and several powerful magic abilities keeping battles fun throughout the adventure. The boss fights are memorable, the art direction is impressive for a handheld game, and the extra content adds replay value after finishing the campaign. The game is still limited by the PSP hardware. The fixed camera can make some fights frustrating, some animations are slower than expected, and exploration is very linear. Despite these flaws, Ghost of Sparta is one of the best PSP exclusives and a worthy chapter in the God of War series. [ENG] Score: 7.9/10 Breathedge is a unique space survival game that manages to stand out thanks to its unusual humor, creative setting and satisfying progression system. The strongest aspect of the game is its gameplay. Crafting, equipment upgrades and survival mechanics involving oxygen, temperature and radiation create a rewarding sense of progression. Exploring wrecked spaceships and abandoned structures is one of the best parts of the experience, supported by a strong artistic direction that makes the space environment memorable. The protagonist and especially the AI companion provide most of the game's personality. The story itself is not particularly deep, but the constant jokes, absurd situations and dark humor give Breathedge a distinctive identity. However, the game has several weaknesses. Some objectives are unclear, backtracking becomes frequent, and collecting large amounts of resources can make progression feel repetitive. The base-building system also loses importance later in the game, and inventory management can become frustrating. Breathedge is not the deepest or most polished survival game, and its narrative and characters are fairly simple. However, its excellent atmosphere, fun crafting system, exploration and unique sense of humor make it an enjoyable adventure. A creative and entertaining survival experience with some pacing issues, but definitely worth playing for fans of the genre.

Aug 2, 2026
[ENG] Score: 9.1/10.0 God of War III remains one of the greatest cinematic action games ever created. The game immediately delivers one of the most spectacular openings of the PlayStation 3 generation. The battle between Kratos, the Titans, and the gods perfectly demonstrates the incredible sense of scale that defines the entire experience. Santa Monica Studio created an adventure where every environment, creature, and boss encounter feels designed to make the player feel part of an epic mythological war. The gameplay is still outstanding. The combat system is extremely satisfying, with deep combos, responsive controls, and a fantastic variety of weapons. The Blades of Exile, Cestus of Nemea, and Bow of Apollo are among the strongest weapons in the franchise, each offering different approaches during battles. New mechanics such as controlling certain enemies after executions, using harpies for traversal, and using Helios' head to reveal hidden paths add variety to the gameplay. The boss fights are the absolute highlight of the game. Encounters against Poseidon, Hades, Hercules, Cronos, and Zeus are unforgettable thanks to their multiple phases, enormous scale, and cinematic presentation. The final battle against Zeus is one of the most memorable boss fights in the entire franchise and a perfect conclusion to the trilogy. The story continues Kratos' journey of revenge while finally showing more human aspects of his character. His relationship with Pandora is one of the strongest narrative elements because it reveals a more compassionate side of the protagonist. The ending, where Kratos decides his own fate after completing his revenge, remains one of the most meaningful moments in the series. The artistic direction is incredible. Olympus, the Underworld, the Labyrinth, and the mythological creatures are all beautifully designed. The sense of scale is among the best ever achieved in an action game. However, the game is not flawless. Some platforming sections lack precision, especially the harpy jumping sequences where mistakes are heavily punished. Certain puzzles, such as Hera's Labyrinth and the harp section, can become frustrating. Some forced animations during timed sections also slow the player down and slightly reduce the feeling of control. The balance also has some issues. Large enemy encounters can become chaotic, and certain sections feature noticeable difficulty spikes. Overall, God of War III is an epic, brutal, and spectacular action experience. It is not perfect, but it reaches an extremely high level in combat, boss design, presentation, and artistic direction. A legendary chapter in Kratos' saga and one of the greatest action games of its generation.

[ENG] Score: 7.1/10.0 Medal of Honor: Frontline for PlayStation 2 is a World War II first-person shooter that tries to deliver a cinematic experience by recreating some of the most important battles of the conflict. The campaign has several memorable moments, especially the Normandy landing introduction, which remains one of the strongest parts of the game thanks to its atmosphere, tension, and impressive presentation. The gameplay offers a solid military shooter experience, with a reliable control system and the option to use a more classic aiming style or a marksman-like approach. The weapon selection is one of the game’s strengths, featuring many historical weapons from World War II. Some weapons are extremely satisfying to use, such as the Springfield rifle, Gewehr 43, silenced pistol, and MG42, while others suffer from inaccurate aiming or disappointing firing rates. The fixed weapon sections, including machine guns and cannons, add variety and make some missions more dynamic. The soundtrack supports the action well and helps create an appropriate war atmosphere. The main problems are the passive enemy AI, some technical bugs, occasional frustrating weapon accuracy, distant checkpoints, and a few unbalanced difficulty spikes. Some missions and objectives also fail to maintain the same quality level as the strongest sections of the campaign. It is not a perfect game, but its variety of weapons, cinematic presentation, and historical setting make it an enjoyable experience that still holds value today.

The four interchangeable weapons, well-designed boss fights, and attractive pixel art make the gameplay enjoyable, while the changing environments keep the adventure engaging. However, the game plays things very safely and adds few new ideas to the genre. The difficulty becomes quite demanding in the later stages, and losing your upgrades after dying can make progression frustrating, especially when replaying earlier levels to recover your power. It may not reinvent the genre, but it's a satisfying experience for fans of classic horizontal shooters.

[ENG] Score: 6.6/10 The Pale Beyond is an interesting mix of narrative adventure, resource management, and survival. Its greatest strengths are the atmosphere, the well-written crew members, and the constant feeling of isolation during the polar expedition. Every decision can affect morale, health, and the survival of your crew, making choices feel meaningful. However, the game is also very unforgiving. The save system is restrictive, resource management can be difficult to understand at first, and a few poor decisions may ruin many hours of progress. While this increases tension, it can also become frustrating. The gameplay loop eventually becomes repetitive, and replayability mainly comes from pursuing different endings. Overall, The Pale Beyond offers a memorable survival experience with strong storytelling and excellent atmosphere, but its demanding design and steep learning curve prevent it from reaching its full potential.

The combat is fun, the game includes several entertaining minigames, and the overall atmosphere feels fresh compared to most games in the genre. However, its limitations are easy to notice. Missions become repetitive, some animations and collisions lack polish, a few bugs are present, and the combat system is fairly basic compared to larger beat 'em up franchises. The story is serviceable but predictable and rarely delivers memorable moments.Despite its flaws, it's a charming indie project with plenty of personality. If you enjoy classic beat 'em ups and don't expect AAA production values, Troublemaker is worth trying.

(English) Score: 9.5/10 Like a Dragon: Ishin! is an excellent remake that successfully brings the classic Yakuza formula into the Bakumatsu era. The historical setting feels fresh, the four combat styles keep battles engaging, and the amount of side content provides dozens of hours of gameplay. Its biggest weakness is the weapon forging system, which becomes overly grindy on higher difficulties due to expensive upgrades, rare materials, and slow progression. Some side activities can also become repetitive, and a few mechanics clearly show the game's 2014 origins. Even so, these flaws never overshadow the overall experience. With a compelling story, memorable characters, and satisfying combat, Like a Dragon: Ishin! stands as one of the strongest entries in the franchise. (Italiano) Voto: 9.5/10 Like a Dragon: Ishin!

Jun 5, 2026
[ENG] The final score is 7.9 out of 10. God of War (2005) is one of the most important action games of the PlayStation 2 era and a foundational title for the genre as a whole. The combat system is fast, brutal and highly satisfying, combining combos, magic abilities and QTE-driven executions into a consistently engaging gameplay loop. The Greek mythology setting is one of the game’s strongest aspects. The world feels cohesive and epic, filled with iconic creatures and memorable encounters that support Kratos’ journey from beginning to end. Kratos himself is a strong and iconic protagonist, although more symbolic in nature than deeply character-driven. The narrative structure, however, is relatively simple. The story is straightforward and sometimes lacks depth, with supporting characters mostly serving the protagonist’s journey rather than developing independently. The pacing improves in the later sections, but the early game feels slower and less engaging. From a gameplay perspective, the game shows its age in several areas, including simple puzzle design, occasionally imprecise platforming sections, uneven difficulty spikes, and controls that are not always fully responsive. Despite these issues, the game maintains a strong identity and a good variety of gameplay situations. Overall, God of War remains a landmark title that still holds value today, mainly for its historical importance and its impact on the action genre.

[ENG] Score: 6.0/10 Prototype is an open-world action game built around superhuman powers and total destruction. The game succeeds in delivering a highly free and chaotic gameplay experience, where the protagonist feels extremely powerful thanks to shapeshifting abilities, military vehicle usage, and fast traversal across a ruined Manhattan. Combat is fast, varied, and often spectacular, even if it becomes chaotic at times. However, the game suffers from repetitive mission design, a lifeless open world, and a fragmented narrative structure. While the story has an interesting premise, it lacks coherence and emotional depth, with characters that are not strongly developed. Difficulty balancing can feel inconsistent, and the constant on-screen chaos sometimes reduces clarity during combat. Overall, Prototype is an entertaining but clearly dated experience, stronger in gameplay concept than in storytelling or variety.

The combat remains fluid and satisfying, with these additions providing some variety to encounters. However, the game struggles to break away from its predecessor. The open world feels largely unchanged, side activities are repetitive, and stealth mechanics remain quite basic. Overall structure often feels more like an expansion than a full sequel. The gameplay stands out as the strongest aspect, thanks to varied weapons, flexible playstyles, and a richly populated world. However, the experience is weakened by an overloaded UI and progression system, filled with too many mechanics and currencies that make the game feel confusing and unfocused. The open world often becomes repetitive, and the narrative structure lacks clear direction due to the abundance of systems and content competing for attention. [ENG] score 10/10. An extremely complete superhero experience that successfully combines fluid gameplay, spectacle, and a large variety of content. The web-swinging system is the true heart of the game: fast, satisfying, and perfectly integrated with the exploration of New York City. While the combat system is clearly inspired by the Batman Arkham series, it still manages to stand out thanks to gadgets, suit powers, and Spider-Man’s high mobility. The main campaign delivers memorable boss fights, strong narrative progression, and a solid balance between action, stealth, and light puzzle elements. The DLC episodes generally maintain high quality, especially through their secondary characters and expanded world-building. The amount of extra content is also impressive: unlockable suits, special abilities, challenges, J. Jonah Jameson podcasts, and side missions all help make Manhattan feel alive and immersive. The game is not without flaws, including somewhat standard open-world activities, a occasionally predictable story, and minor technical or AI issues. I played Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent (Version 1, Shanghai) with moderate expectations, but the experience turned out to be one of the weakest entries in the series. While the idea of the double agent system is interesting, it feels poorly integrated into the actual missions, with some sections not fully supporting the choice between NSA and JBA, reducing its overall impact. The game suffers from several technical and design issues that significantly affect the experience. Audio is a major problem, with low and unclear sound that makes dialogues difficult to follow during gameplay. Visual clarity is also compromised, as shadows are hard to distinguish and often require the use of the in-game tools, which weakens the core stealth mechanics. On top of that, the overall texture quality is quite poor.Enemy AI is inconsistent and unreliable, and scripted events do not always trigger correctly, leading to confusion and breaking immersion. In some cases, progression itself becomes an issue, as certain missions may require manual fixes or external intervention to continue, which should never happen in a finished game. Additionally, some gameplay mechanics, like interacting with safes, can fail to work properly, further damaging the flow. Controls and camera are not terrible, but they feel less refined compared to previous entries like Chaos Theory, occasionally causing minor frustration during stealth sequences. Overall, this version feels like an ambitious but poorly executed attempt to evolve the formula. Compared to other versions of Double Agent, especially the old-gen one, this iteration lacks polish, consistency, and reliability. The core ideas are there, but the execution falls short in too many areas. Final score: 4.4/10

The world feels consistent and deliberately crafted, with a constant sense of decay and “end of an era”. The art direction is one of the game’s strongest elements. Boss design stands out:* some fights rely on specific mechanics (almost puzzle-like)* others are pure skill checks based on timing and pattern recognitionI played using a Pyromancer build: strong in early game very powerful in late game offers good versatility between ranged and close combat, however, it requires proper resource management and isn’t always consistent in every scenario. Main issues: story is difficult to follow without external research noticeable difficulty spike in the endgame some AI/pathfinding inconsistencies occasional need to look up progression online. Despite these flaws, the game delivers a highly satisfying and rewarding experience. Highly recommended for players who enjoy challenging and structured gameplay. Environmental finishers and martial arts mechanics make it stand out from the typical gun-heavy formula. The Hong Kong setting is fantastic: dense, atmospheric, and full of identity. The day/night cycle, neon lighting, and urban sound design create a strong immersive experience. The story is engaging, with Wei Shen being a well developed protagonist caught between his role as an undercover cop and his involvement with the triads. Side stories and characters add even more depth. There’s also a wide variety of activities and systems: Side missions and progression paths Gambling (Mahjong, Poker), karaoke Racing and surveillance missions Character upgrades and customization DLC content that expands the experience Main weaknesses: Shooting mechanics feel underdeveloped, enemy AI is outdated, some repetition over time and minor technical issues (bugs, camera). Overall, the game delivers a highly fun and memorable experience. A must play if you want an open world different from the usual GTA-style formula. [ITA] Voto: 9.0/10 Sleeping Dogs è uno dei migliori open world “alternativi” mai realizzati. Apr 3, 2026
[ENG] Score: 2.9/10 The Getaway: Black Monday tries to deliver a realistic and cinematic experience, but ultimately fails where it matters most: gameplay. The recreation of London is solid and cutscene dialogue is decent, but everything falls apart once you take control. The camera is one of the biggest issues, with awkward angles, poor visibility in tight spaces, and a constant loss of control during combat. The aiming system is also unreliable, making several sections frustrating, especially when the game introduces mechanics like enemies using civilians as human shields without giving the player proper tools to handle them. The complete lack of HUD and tutorial does not enhance immersion, it only creates confusion. Not knowing how much ammo you have or when to reload severely impacts control and decision-making. On top of that, there are clear technical issues, including frequent lag and bugs, as well as questionable design choices like excessive and artificial enemy spawns. The game has some interesting ideas on paper (variety of actions, switching between driving and shooting), but the execution is weak and often frustrating. Rather than a true GTA alternative, it feels more like an unfinished prototype. An interesting concept, but a failed execution.

[ENG] Resident Evil 6 is an ambitious but deeply inconsistent game. It offers a huge amount of content and one of the best co-op systems in the series, with intersecting campaigns and solid gameplay mechanics. Leon and Chris campaigns stand out as the strongest parts of the experience. However, the game suffers from a major issue: excessive Hollywood-style action. Constant QTEs, scripted sequences, and over-the-top set pieces push the game away from its survival horror roots, turning it into a chaotic action spectacle. While the four campaigns add variety, they also create inconsistent quality, with weaker storylines such as Jake and Ada. The result is a game full of ideas but lacking a clear identity. [ENG] Score: 7.5 / 10 Resident Evil 5 shines as a cooperative action experience but struggles to maintain the identity of a true survival horror game. Played in co-op, the game becomes significantly more enjoyable. Coordination between players, shared resources, and constant interaction create a strong and engaging gameplay loop. The variety of scenarios, including vehicle sections and set pieces, adds to the overall pacing and entertainment value. However, the game shifts heavily toward action, losing much of the horror atmosphere that defined earlier entries. In single player, the AI partner often feels inefficient, negatively impacting the experience. Gameplay systems also show limitations: inventory management is clunky, controls feel outdated, and combat lacks depth. Technical issues further reduce the quality, especially in co-op, where bugs and poorly designed online features (unclear invites, random player access, unexpected split-screen issues) can occur. Overall, Resident Evil 5 is a solid co-op action game, but a weaker entry in the survival horror genre.

[ENG] Score: 7.6 / 10 Resident Evil 7: Biohazard marks a strong return to survival horror, shifting away from the action-heavy formula of previous entries. The first-person perspective greatly enhances immersion, especially within the Baker house, which stands out as one of the most memorable locations in the series. The Baker family, particularly Jack, delivers a constant sense of threat and psychological pressure, supported by excellent sound design and environmental storytelling. However, the experience declines in the second half. Areas like the ship and mines feel less inspired, and the pacing suffers. Combat lacks depth, with limited weapon satisfaction and repetitive enemy behavior. Exploration can also become frustrating due to unclear progression and excessive backtracking. Technical issues, including poor textures and high hardware usage, further impact the experience. Overall, a solid horror entry with strong atmosphere but noticeable gameplay and technical flaws. One of the most fascinating aspects is the dynamic transformation of environments. Locations such as the school and hospital shift into disturbing, alternate versions of themselves, with doors appearing out of nowhere and layouts changing unpredictably. This design choice creates a strong sense of disorientation and reinforces the game’s psychological horror identity. Akira Yamaoka’s soundtrack is a major highlight, blending ambient noise and industrial sounds into something deeply unsettling. The narrative is also intentionally cryptic, offering multiple endings and leaving room for interpretation. However, the game suffers from several gameplay limitations. Tank controls feel stiff, the camera angles can be frustrating, and combat is clunky and imprecise. Additionally, some puzzles are overly obscure, often forcing players to rely on external help, which breaks immersion. Despite these flaws, Silent Hill remains a landmark title, remembered more for its atmosphere and psychological impact than for its gameplay mechanics. Voto: 7.5/10

[ENG] Score: 8.5/10 Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction is a very solid entry in the series and an excellent start for the PlayStation 3 era. The core gameplay remains faithful to the classic formula: fast-paced action, creative weapons, platforming sections, and a colorful universe full of personality. The arsenal is one of the highlights. Many weapons evolve through multiple levels, especially in Challenge Mode where upgrades extend up to level 10, adding more depth and replay value. Some tools like the Groovitron remain extremely fun to use and fit perfectly with the chaotic combat style of the series. Challenge Mode also improves the experience by making enemies more dangerous and encouraging experimentation with fully upgraded weapons. The game mixes shooting, platforming, and puzzles quite well. Puzzle sections using the Decryptor or Clank’s Zoni abilities introduce mechanics such as slow time and object manipulation, which add variety to the gameplay. Exploration across different planets also keeps the pacing enjoyable, and the overall gameplay loop remains engaging from start to finish. Story-wise, the game introduces several important elements about Ratchet’s past and the Lombax race. However, the main antagonist, Emperor Tachyon, feels somewhat underdeveloped and his presence is relatively limited. This makes the narrative feel more like the beginning of a larger arc rather than a fully concluded storyline, which is later expanded in A Crack in Time. Overall, Tools of Destruction doesn’t radically reinvent the formula, but it doesn’t need to. The series’ core mechanics still work extremely well, and the game delivers a fun, polished, and content-rich experience. For fans of the franchise, it remains a highly enjoyable adventure.

[ENG] Score: 8.5/10 Resident Evil 4 (2005) is one of the most influential action-horror games ever made. It redefined the franchise by shifting from classic survival horror to a more action-driven, over-the-shoulder experience that would later inspire countless third-person shooters. The core gameplay remains highly engaging. The “stop & shoot” mechanic forces players to commit to every action, creating constant tension. Combat rewards precision and crowd control, especially when combining gunshots with melee kicks and knife executions. Enemy variety is strong, with Ganados, Regenerators, cultists, and memorable boss encounters like Krauser and Saddler standing out. The story is straightforward but effective, embracing a more cinematic and slightly campy tone. Separate Ways adds meaningful context through Ada Wong’s perspective and enhances the overall narrative cohesion. However, the game clearly shows its age: - Limited mobility while shooting - Rigid character movement - Dated QTE system - Restrictive camera - Inconsistent enemy AI... While these elements were groundbreaking at the time, they can feel clunky by modern standards. Despite its flaws, Resident Evil 4 remains a landmark title that shaped modern action design. Even today, it delivers tension, variety, and strong pacing.A timeless classic, slightly aged but still highly enjoyable.
