Mario Tennis

The combination of tight control, classic characters, and an endlessly competitive gameplay balance makes Mario Tennis one of the best multiplayer sports games ever.

While its direct competition is the Dreamcast's "Virtua Tennis," those who pass up this one because of cutesy characters and backgrounds will miss out on one of the best games for the system, hands down.

It's a game that's so amazing, if you don't own the system that plays it, you feel inclined to rectify the situation as soon as humanly possible.

Call me evil, but there is nothing more satisfying then overhead-smashing a ball right into the cute noggin of either Baby Mario or Toad.

This is a surprisingly realistic simulation, and yet its overriding concern is to entertain. Which it does. In spades.

An N64 Classic. One of the best Mario sports games although not the best of them all, it's definitely in the top 5.

really simple, but fun game. the controls could be better ( i've played this on the switch online emu, i'm sure it controlled better on oh ) the best tennis game i've ever played

Mario Tennis has a good physics system, and a lot of characters to choose from. It is a great multiplayer game for the N64, but the limited number of modes unfortunately leads to the single-player experience feeling largely repetitive after a while. Despite this, it is still an enjoyable game, and one of the better spin-off sports games for any platform.

No gimmickry, just a technically proficient tennis game with nice presentation and enough accessibility to appeal to all ages.

THIS game is very good don't get me wrong, but seeing all of these 10/10 reviews that they don't deserve makes me giving it a zero to even out, it's a solid 7/10 game, but the fact that this is a meta-must play is insane.
