Loco Motive offers an entertaining mix of humor, mystery, and classic point-and-click gameplay set in a charming 1930's train. Despite some frustrating puzzles and technical bugs, the game remains engaging with strong dialogue and lively animations, making it a must for fans of Monkey Island and humorous whodunits.

An old-school point-and-click adventure with a detective storyline full of twists, out-of-the-box humour and a superbly characterised cast. The development team should work a little more on the fair amount of bugs that plague the gameplay and the enjoyability of some puzzles that cross the threshold of illogic.

Loco Motive is a fun enough point-and-click adventure with a strong cast that gets off to a great start. As it goes on, however, it loses a lot of momentum thanks to focusing on less interesting or well-developed characters. Thankfully, it comes together in a strong conclusion that ties its various elements into a satisfying ending. Those who long for the point-and-click adventures of the early 90s will find a lot to like, even if it feels like it doesn’t fully meet its potential.

Beautifully animated, wonderfully voiced and witty to boot, Loco Motive ticks a lot of right boxes for point and click likers. If only its underlying mystery wasn't quite so sidelined and predictable.

If you have fond memories of early point and click games from LucasArts, you will enjoy this game. It has strong Monkey Island / Sam & Max vibes. Loco Motive is every bit as good as those beloved series. I deducted a point only because I feel the character designs feel a bit bland compared to their zany personalities. I would've like to see the characters even more stylized. Otherwise, this is a phenomenal game! @ Developers - please make more games like this!

Charming, funny, logical and feels like modern take on 90s Lucas Arts. They also made it very playable with a controller if you prefer that. Not the longest, but also is less than 20eur at the moment. Go for it.

Beautiful pixelart with charming animations, witty dialogue and great voiceacting are being let down by nonsensical puzzles and a pretty underwhelming ending.

Graphics are really nice and it's only them that manage to hold up a story, characters, puzzles, etc. which are merely enjoyable at best and outright dull at worst. There's nothing brilliant in it, nothing surprising or compelling. It's not funny (and luckily doesn't try very hard to be) and sometimes it's a chore to get through dialogues with no spark, no spice. It's a shame because the story is cool, although the 1920-30s atmosphere is somewhat broken with the impossibly diverse cast and needless gender-neutral pronouns (even the Orson Welles character is a "they"...).Puzzles are ok, sometimes good, sometimes a bit inconsistent in terms of clues; they err on the easy side for the most part (unless you're totally **** short, I enjoyed at times, but many times gameplay was as mechanical as the writing and puzzle design. I won't play it again.

The art style is what drew me in, but after a while you get used to it and it doesn't seem so outstanding anymore. For an adventure game it is more on the linear and boring side.
