This game is just amazing, its perfect in all aspect. I dont understand why its not more famous cause it deserve all the fame.
There is seriously no flaw to this game, the story is crazy good with nice character dev and worldbuilding, the level design is good, the build variety and gameplay is way above his time and purely amazing, the story is very good and on top of that the online is super good. All of this on 3ds, still crazy to this day.

Peak Sakurai Masterpiece. Filled to the brim with charm and content.
Even though I am not the best at the high-level difficulties, I can still see the amazing game for what it is.
(Online) Multiplayer also surprisingly fun!

In my opinion, it's the best game I've played on the 3DS. For a 3DS, the game is magnificent, the characters endearing and funny, and the three game modes (in the air, on the ground and boss battles) complement each other perfectly. The difficulty system with hearts is a good idea, unlocking new passages and making us fight more enemies with a fairly difficult challenge. The only drawback is that you quickly get a sore hand by holding down the L button with your left hand while controlling the joystick with that same hand. I hope and pray that a sequel will be announced at a future Nintendo Direct.

This game is incredible and really got me interested in the on-rails shooter genre. The characters are amazing and the whole thing is written brilliantly. I honestly loved the controls. They kept me really focused and engaged. This game is a must play for 3DS owners.

Aside from controls that need a bit of time to get used to, Uprising was a blast to play, and that difficulty slider that came from this game makes finding the right balance between fair challenge, and too easy. The variety of weapons feel great when you can freely control Pit, and the game pops with solid 3DS visuals. The story is helped by great, comedic writing. Copies may be expensive now, but buy it whenever you find it at a good price.

Great story, the controls are fine, and it has such a well designed multiplayer. Another successful cook from Sakurai.

Sakurai did it again. The rebirth of Kid Icarus is nothing less than a game packed with action, great graphics, superb writing and many inspired gameplay ideas.

Uprising has everything you could want in a game, charming characters, wonderful jokes, some drama, great gameplay, multiplayer, fusion systems, achievements, amazing soundtrack and even a bloody card game. With only bad controls going into the pile of, “what uprising needs to fix” I’d say it’s a win win ****!

Could be really nice game, cool graphics, nice funny story and solid gameplay, but whoever made controls should be thrown to Turkey jail to rot there forever. Easily top 3 worst game controls ever, it literally makes your hand hurt, so I suggest playing in on emulator, where you could adjust the controls to be bearable. Also you need youtube to get full story, cause there's dialogs all the time that's impossible to follow with all the hectic battles taking place at the same time.

Despite the atrocity of the controls, the game looks BEAUTIFUL on the handheld that it is on.

hands down the best game on the 3DS, the controls work really well on the New 3DS albeit take a couple chapters to get used to. The graphics are some of the best on the system and the art design is some of my favorite in gaming. definetly check it out

The game gets repetitive. The dialogue is funny and probably the best part of the game. However every level is mostly the same formula and some of them have puzzles when you fight on the ground, but it’s not fun on a 3.5 inch screen. Maybe I would’ve liked it more on an XL console. I could only play 1-2 chapters a night. I pretty much forced myself to complete this title because i spent 35$ on it. However I have no desire to replay levels on harder intensities or grind for items. Your hands will cramp and this isn’t a game you can play laying down. It’s also not for left handed people as you can only aim Pitt’s shots with your right hand.

Very awesome game! One of the best action game released on 3ds. Controls are clever and seriously very intuitive... I've played on new 3ds XL and despite large size of the device, controls was really pleasant for me. Finally some game from Nintendo that actually have a full voice acting and it's really good one! Maybe the story is little bit odd but at the other hand verity of levels are extremely nice. This title is a definition of fun and without any doubts must play for any 3ds owner!

I loved this game. The characters are funny and memorable. The world is fun to learn about and personally I enjoy mythology. I enjoyed the controls but they were a barrier to many. Overall I think this is one of the defining 3ds titles that cemented my love for the system.

A must play for the 3DS. With so many levels, funny voice acting, and amazingly unique bosses, this game is amazing, and will keep anyone entertained for hours. But be warned, the camera controls could cause some problems without the circle pad pro.

My favorite game on the 3DS. It has likable characters, a great plot, funny dialogue, Hades and fantastic gameplay. Every single character from Pit to Hades is really funny and despite being on the 3DS, it runs really well and controls so damn smoothly. Now if only they would make a sequel or a remake on the switch #BringBackKidIcarus

It's a pretty good game. I liked story, characters, graphics and music. There are also aspects of game I didn't try such as multi player. The thing that made me give it only 7/10 are controls. They add 3DS stand to this game for a reason. Especially if you have 3DS XL. Using stylus for both camera movement and targeting at the same time was troublesome for me all the way to the end. Sometimes level design required some precision to not fall down but weird momentum of Pit's movement made it quite hard. But other than that it's really pretty and fun game - if controls work for you add at least 1 point to the score.

Very bizarre experience from our lord and savior Masahiro Sakurai. Gameplay: It might sound rough and hard but it is very daring for 3DS games. It is certainly rough at first, but when you get the hang of it, it is the best gameplay available on the 3DS. You can select difficulty to fit your match. Many customization weapons/ skills and play styles. The possibility is endless. There will be point in game that you felt like how is this possible on 3DS? It is too good to be true. Story: Humorous and amazing. Every character and story are quite good and memorable. Making goddess into anime character is one of the best thing ever. It is very fun story and dialogue along the way. It might be rough to catch up as you have to separate the eye and ear when fighting monster and listening to talking at the same time. But story is very great which make the game not too tense. Many twist and turn. Pit, Palutena, Viridi, Dark Pit and more have their own character which are just so shining. Overall: This is a must play game on 3DS. It is not a game, it is an experience. The quality is AAA and so perfect in every way possible

Una vez que te acostumbras a los controles, te quedas con un videojuego precioso lleno de contenido y muchísima diversión. Necesitamos más juegos de Sakurai fuera de Smash Bros.

This is an amazing game that I would struggle to recommend to anyone. The controls are the most infamous and controversial element of this game and for good reason. While I never had any major issues for them outside of my left hand feeling tired from holding a 3ds xl for several hours straight with no support from my right hand like with most games to ease strain, I found aiming and movement to be not too difficult to get used to, however the same won't be for everyone, they will require some getting used to and you may never be able to feel truly comfortable and are at most tolerable. Only if you are willing to get past this first hurdle can you consider playing this. If so, great! You're in for a wild ride full of flying sections full of rollercoaster set pieces and witty dialogue that holds up well today with only a few jokes feeling dated to when it released back in 2012 and ground sections that feel more tense and claustrophobic in between larger fights that are a blast to play through, but rarely meets the heights (pun intended) of the flying sections. Its unlikely you'd be playing this game without knowing the twist, but if you don't know it, then you're in for an amazing surprise, and regardless, a great time.

Arguably the best game Nintendo released on the 3DS platform. The controls are incredibly well implemented, if a bit hard to learn at first. There's a wide variety of content contained, with 25 story chapters, none of which feel disposable, a slew of collectibles, and a legitimately fun and fully featured multiplayer mode. Each stage features an exhilarating Star Fox inspired flying section, followed by the more slow paced, but still fun, ground sections. This is also the introduction of the signature Sakurai difficulty slider, in which you bet currency to raise the challenge of a level. However, where Uprising shines most brightly is in it's presentation. Every single one of the game's chapters is fully voiced by an incredibly talented cast of actors, performing some of the most charming and enjoyable video game dialogue ever written. The tone is wholly unique, combing Greek story elements and iconography with contemporary witticisms. The often 4th wall breaking humor never feels jarring or out of place, an impressive feat as in other media comedic elements of this ilk can often come across as pandering and obvious. Characters are a massive strong point, with many truly memorable gods, humans, aliens, and monsters populating the levels. Uprising also contains what is likely the greatest twist in gaming, it catches you off guard in the best way possible. This immense level of polish and quality is also present in the visuals, some of the best on the system, and the music, which is simply phenomenal. I treasure Kid Icarus: Uprising dearly, it's Nintendo and Sakurai at their most inventive, and any self respecting game enthusiast needs to give it a chance, it's more than worth learning the initially unwieldy controls.

Kid icarus Uprising is my favorite game of all times, i remember being a child and playing all the chapters again and again, still apreciating it like the first time, and i still don't have played one sinle game as awesome Kid Icarus is. And that, without even talking about the OSTs, one more time, Motoi Sakuraba appear like one of the best game composers of all times in my thought.

A truly perfect masterpiece for the ages, featuring excellent gameplay, stunning visuals, a breathtaking soundtrack and some of the best writing and voice acting in the industry. However, it has a bit of a barrier of entry in its innovative control scheme, which works brilliantly but takes some time getting used to and finding a comfortable position. Do not let that stop you.

Downloaded this yesterday and played it for about 30 minutes, then I had to stop because my hands were so cramped up! Who tf came up with this dumb control scheme?! I thought shoehorning in touch controls was pretty much over by the time the 3DS came out, but apparently not. Why not utilize the gyro instead? Better yet, why not give the player the option to choose between different control styles, like Starfox 64 3D? The only other option besides using the touchscreen to aim is to use the four action buttons to move the reticle, which is pretty much a non-option. The controls on the ground are even worse than in the air. Touch-based tank-controls? Seriously? In an action game that came out in 2012 on a console with an analog pad? What were they thinking? I guess many people are saying that you get used to the **** controls after a certain time. That may be true, because you get used to everything. That doesn‘t mean that it‘s good. If there was a plumbing issue in my house and my apartment smelled like **** all the time, I would eventually get used to the smell as well and not notice it anymore. That doesn‘t mean that it wouldn‘t be better to call a plumber and have the issue fixed. Why should I put in the effort to get used to this BS when I could just play the aforementioned Starfox 64 3D; a port **** that originally came out in 1997, and yet, handles way better than whatever this is supposed to be.

Kid Icarus: Uprising is one of the most attractive, exhilarating, entertaining and outrageously fun titles so far on 3DS. While Mario has recently brought his style of gaming bliss to the handheld, Uprising provides a substantial amount of content, its own brand of adrenaline pumping set pieces and wonderful humour. It sweeps you along at breakneck speed, and is a must-have title for that very reason.

Kid Icarus Uprising is a hell of a lot of fun. The whole game is a thrill ride full of engaging gameplay, accompanied by witty dialogue and banter between a cast of loveable, larger than life characters. Air and land battles feel distinct and are kept fresh by constantly introducing new enemies as well as new backdrops for the action. The story, although not particularly deep, takes some surprising turns and it allows the characters to shine. Every chapter is a blast, and the last one is an especially memorable spectacle, providing a satisfying ending. A scalable difficulty emphasises risk and reward, allowing you to find what works best for you. The multiplayer is fun, and even if you can't find a full lobby anymore, bots fill any free spaces. Plus, to top it all off, the game has some of the best graphics on the system and a nice soundtrack too. Although I have a couple of little nitpicks, I really love Kid Icarus Uprising, and it's easy to recommend it to all 3ds owners.

May not be the "best game of all time" but certainly my favourite game of all time. Every time I play, there's a smile on my face, and little to no irritation like I could get from any other game. The writing is one of Nintendo's best, it's gameplay is a better Star Fox game than any in the Star Fox series, not everyone gets the controls, which if you're left-handed I get that. But if you're right-handed or ambidextrous, please you must play this game, its story is a wild ride to behold. This game is what I remember Masahiro Sakurai as a director for, not Kirby or Super Smash Bros. (granted, are still great series) I won't spoil the final boss but it's one of the best finales in a game I've ever experienced in terms of hype AND provides a decent challenge, depending on what difficulty you've set it to.

After being shrouded in darkness for over 20 years, Nintendo brought back Pit to the 3DS in a game that's almost perfect. The characters, music, presentation is all fantastic, but the game play is extremely mediocre. A lot of people had trouble adjusting to the stylus controls that are required to beat the game, and one of those people is me. But everything else about the game is absolute perfection

Don't listen to those people with the low scores! This game is one, if not the best, multiplayer games on the system, while still holding a near-infinite amount of hours of gameplay trying to create the perfect weapon. The voice acting is awesome and genuinely funny. It has a great length and is one of the best 3DS games period. I hear people complain about having to use the stylus to aim, but it works well! When I first got it I hated the idea of using the "stylus gimmick", but it is so awesome! In summary, If you like Legend of Zelda, Challenging games, Multiplayer, Shooters, Fun, Good storytelling, and Comedy, this game is for you. I highly recommend this game

I have played, critiqued, and competed in many, many videogames over the course of my life. While some games' stories may be more realistic and believable, some games' multiplayer may be more balanced, and some games may include better graphics (cmon guys this is the 3ds we are talking about) or easier controls, one thing is, to me, undeniable. Kid Icarus Uprising is, without a doubt, the single most enjoyable piece of entertainment I have ever had the privilege of experiencing. Deep, dynamic, replayable, and incredible fast and fluid, both the campaign and multiplayer portions of this game are truly excellent. To be honest, I would pay the full price of admission for the individual music, campaign, or multiplayer components of Kid Icarus Uprising, should they have for some reason been sold separately. As far as entertainment goes, this is the best money can buy.

The game is soo good because the character, the settings and every thing is great
