I have been playing video games for more less 3 years, and in all that time I have seen nothing as beautiful and emotionally moving as Horizon: Forbidden West. Every part of this game is alive with creativity and emotion -- the characters, the story, the machines, and of course the world. You don’t just feel like your killing mechanic dinos, you feel like you are exploring a world that feels truly alive. Aloy, the main protagonist is a strong not sexualised, female character, she is witty, curios, brave, and slightly rebellious but compassionate enough to save the world. Not only Aloy but her friends are extremely well written, they have characteristics that define them and make them unique and add something to the story. Everything about this game is not only emotionally moving and beautiful but fun -- every open world activity, even just wanting to know what’s behind a rock is fun. What makes the open world feel truly alive is the fact that you occasionally can find people fighting machines, arguing, unmarked machine spawn points, hidden collectables. Another really likeable part about this game is that it’s set in USA a thousand years from now after an apocalypse. That real world landmarks like the golden gate bridge and in the DLC the Hollywood sign.
In short this is the best game I have ever played and that is just the tip of the iceberg. You should definitely play this. thank you for reading!

I'm sorry but who wrote the characters?!
Where is Aloy the little girl we adored and were proud of to see growing up and earning her place? Who is this arrogant, self-centered, such an unlikable girl? And don't lie to yourself. You wanted to include your modern ideology in this game even stronger than the first one. There is no doubt in it. And I am fine with that. I believe the world need more advocation of such setup. I am a feminist and even joined some activities myself. But there were so many countless ways to present strong, independent women if you wanted to deliver that message but did it have to be "Warrior and physically beating men, strong"? Was that all you could think of? By nerfing and making so many meaningful male characters either just plain evil and stupid morons? I consciously chose a male character to see how it goes instead of a female characrer in one of the quests where required my decision and of course, Aloy has to brag about how idiot and selfish he is while if I chose female, all things are redeemed and understood. Really?... Is this the best you could do? This is literally an insult to every intelligent and actually strong woman in this world ever existed in the history. You wanted to advocate. And horribly failed so. The solution seems very clear: Change whoever approved this direction, switch the direction in the 3rd series, learn a lesson. Such a great voice actings, beautiful world, concept wasted into unthoughtful direction.

It's a superb open-world game with amazing graphics. It explains the reasons behind the events of the previous game. The storyline is directly connected to the previous game's plot. It has a fantastic science-fiction scenario, like an HBO series. The robot movements and game mechanics are flawless. In particular, the flight physics and ground walking animations of the machine we fly with are perfectly executed. It's no coincidence that Death Stranding also uses the same engine. In fact, the most powerful engine within PlayStation companies is the Decima engine developed by Guerrilla Games. There's nothing negative to say about the game. 10/10. And unfortunately, it's a game that doesn't receive the recognition it deserves.

My opinion is, that this game is the *best* game you can buy. The Story is Great and maybe sometimes a bit complicated to understand. It Was my first game on ps5 and with adaptive triggers a real adventure for every gamer, woh likes open World games. The characters are interesting to and the have a deeper background. All in all a great Game. I hope the 3rd part of this game is so good like the other two.

I'm a huge fan of HZD, it's one of the last games I ordered at launch. I even replayed the OG version a year or so ago and it was almost as good as I remembered. Unfortunately the issues that game had have been carried over to this game into the current gen, the facial animations, mediocre repetitive side quests of finding someone's lost relative or tribe member and the less than impressive dialogue which I find a bore. The cauldrons were uninspiring, they were essentially filler and I didn't find that interesting, yet here I am unlocking abilities I already had in the first game. The game has added extra content such as a more in-depth combat system, new machines and new environments. The combat system is still janky and the combat moves are non-intuitive and some of the tutorials you use to practice them are poorly explained. Besides a few I remembered somewhat I would exploit the same basic moves to equal effect, but I mainly stuck to ranged combat against machines and stealth to beat human enemies. I completed the game on Hard and never really struggled anywhere, some of the boss fights were challenging and non-essential extra content. There are more machines, a great catalogue of them, very few of the older ones haven't reappeared but the variety and detail into the new machines is a great improvement. The graphics were always fantastic, and these are truly next gen. One of the few games I would use photo mode fairly frequently. Without the top tier graphics and gameplay I feel the Horizon series would really suffer, especially HFW since the plot is worse and I was less interested to see what happened next than with the original game. Climbing tallnecks doesn't reveal whole areas of the map like the last game either. Lastly, the open world felt too large, bloated and empty. I could say more. Essentially this game is decent but it highly passable, I doubt most people who pick up this are playing to completion like I did.

This game takes the gameplay of its previous series Zero Dawn to the next level. And the amazing graphic would make you constantly want to stop and just immerse yourself in the environment. Really looking forward to the next chapter of Aloy’s adventure b

It was AMAZING for these reasons: 1. The main character who was a woman, doesn’t wear a skimpy outfit disguised as a “battle suit” 2. You can adjust the difficulty
3. All the characters are well written, no characters made me feel like “why u here?” 4. Plot twists are amazing 5. Story is so well done
6. So much to explore 7. Graphics and environment are so beautiful 8. So much cool stuff you can do like fly a flying machine
9. You can adjust whether you want the game to look AMAZING or buttery smooth aka not stuttering 10. So much stuff you can do apart from
The main story. Really recommend playing, the best game i ever played. I am an open world noob, and i usually hate open world but this is just so good whether you liked open worlds or not.

Visually stunning but otherwise a complete disappointment. The story is as simple as it gets, the good guys are good, the bad guys are cartoonishly evil. Every character is defined by one characteristic and that's it. Aloy was lobotomized in FW failing to see ''plot twists'' that are as predictable as who's gonna win the German bundesliga next season. Puzzles are boiled down to wait for the next platform to spawn (which can take up to a minute) or jump to next yellow bar. They added a bunch of combos to the game but they are impossible to perform since they require 45 different inputs and your'e always fighting 100 enemies; not that it matters because mashing r1 works 100% of the time anyways.

The hate this game gets is purely from people who have never picked up a controller in their life. A very good improvement over the original Horizon, not much more to say. Incredible. 121 hours for Platinum + DLC.

It was fun, more of the same which wasnt bad. I wish there was more missions to it, i was able to get the platinum pretty easily through glitched/stuck enemies (tide ripper in corner of map) so it felt less gratifying to earn. Its not as good as the original, there is some decent story though.

This game is nowhere near as good as zero dawn. First off it feels like they went the Ubislop route and littered the map with useless plants and other nonsense to accumulate. You literally just buy better gear as opposed to searching for it. The biggest problem of all is the story and branching dialogue paths. Completely convoluted and boring. Guerrila rose and fell within one game. This company is in the same trash bin as Ubisoft, EA, and Blizzard at this point.

The game is an absolute banger But there is a problem
The looting has to become more approachable lategame.
I played the game on very hard There is an insane amount of grind required to reach your max levels on weapons and armor.
I mean it when i say insane amount.
I simply havent got 20hours to devote into farming mindlessly parts from machine just to upgreat my lategame gear one level

What should you expect from a sequel in a franchise? Improvements, something grander, more, and even cooler... but for me, Horizon Forbidden West didn't deliver that. It felt like more of the same with some minor quality-of-life improvements, but nowhere near enough to label it a top-tier title. Visually, it was outstanding once again—Guerrilla clearly excels at that—but the gameplay hasn't evolved enough in my opinion.I still feel no connection to the NPCs. Aloy is cool, but she’s no Nathan Drake or Joel Miller. The side missions and storytelling are still not on par with many other games (especially other Sony titles). No, I expected more. It was entertaining, but forgettable."

Spider-Man, Batman... Yada her yere hızlıca koşup her yerden hızlıca kaçabilirken. Kameranın açısı,hareket hızımız her şey etkili tabi.

Game is grindy as hell and none of the bloated, checklist content feels enjoyable. Weapons don't really feel like they matter which you choose and aren't different enough to make me care. Gameplay and enemy design feel very poor and not well thought out. Aloy is the most annoying protag I've encountered in a long time, a very blank slate.

How has no one picked up on the fact that the whole reason for Aloy's quest in this game "the blight" is not just still unresolved by the end of the game, but it isn't even directly referenced after you meet the new villains? It just gets forgotten about. The writing in this game is absolutely terrible. It opens with a 20 minute tour of characters you likely won't remember from the first game, so best played directly or not long after the first game. It's pretty much more of the same but with a weaker plot and much weaker characters. So not as good as Zero Dawn, but still worth playing if you liked the first game. The graphics do look stunning and the dual sense rumble is great in this game. The weakest bits are the plot and characters, the writing is just worse. Some of it is due to the fact that something like 70%+ of text and characters are female, this results in women playing unconvincingly roles that would have previously been played by men. It just doesn't work in most cases. A good example is the side quest were the brother is blinded and the sister is being an ahole to the veteran whilst trying to find a place for her wounded brother to live. It doesn't work because she's written like a man, hence it's unconvincing and immersion breaking. There's a lot of this in the game and it really drags you out of the experiance. I found myself wanting the side quest they were inserted into to end asap and to get back to something more fun. There's lots of random modern day agenda being thrown in as well. The side quest with the man who just randomly drops in the conversation that he wants to wear women's clothes, a quest about a mysterious signal where the Osram quest giver just drops in a 3 minute monologue about how she's experienced sexism, there are multiple women in the game that all drop in that they have wives. Sorry but I'm really tiered of this, it's incredibly immersion breaking to run into this in a video game. It doesn't work because this is a game where the world has been rebooted and all knowledge on past events, trends and social norms have been lost. You're trying to get your audience to believe that all of that somehow survives and is present in a wold where people have to worry about killer robot dinosaurs and savage tribes? To be blunt after this one I'm in no rush to play Horizon 3.

Horizon Zero Dawn is one of the best games this century, and whilst the gameplay can be grindy and the subplots weak, I was excited to see what Forbidden West was going to bring to the table. Whilst gameplay is more of the same, for better or worse, the game is beautiful and the world exploration is fun. The biggest issue with Forbidden West is the main story is pretty rough and less interesting to the original game's. The idea the game is going for wasn't bad, but it definitely felt a lot more shallow and rushed than the original story. Also, whilst the story hinges off the original game's plot, it sounds tacked on, rather a slice of the story. The only elements that tie the two games together are fairly loosely attached together, and the main antagonist of the game (or at least the person that caused everything) was featured in Forbidden West in such a weak way, it barely mattered. Also the final mission of the game was just flat out mediocre and shockingly dull to play. Pseudo stealth levels that you can run through with no consequence, and arbitrary climbing with a couple of unexciting battles that are overshadowed by mini boss battles earlier in the game. I enjoyed playing Forbidden West, right up until the receptiveness hit me, just like it did with the original game. Only this time, the story wasn't enough of a reward to justify it. Whilst I replayed Horizon Zero Dawn more than once, I can't see doing the same with Forbidden West. I hope the DLC is better, I'll take a break before playing it, and a 3rd main entry in the series better be remarkable to convince me to spend the money on it.

Wow, what a disappointment.
Despite its flaws, I am a huge fan of the original Horizon Zero Dawn, and I couldn't wait to finally play the sequel. Unfortunately, I gave up after about 10h of gameplay. Let's start with the story, or rather the lack of one. The narrative feels almost nonexistent, like a collection of disconnected concepts, stitched together to show what Forbidden West is supposed to look like, rather than telling a meaningful story. Instead of pulling me in, it bored me to the point where continuing felt like a waste of time.
The game world is undeniably beautiful. However, graphics alone aren't enough.
To sum it up in one sentence: A beautiful word, completely wasted by a lack of meaningful story and underdeveloped characters, that feels empty and unworthy of exploration.

Genuinely enjoyed my time with forbidden west. Combat is great and the world is gorgeous. It’s a little bloated at times but everything else makes up for it. Story is mid though. Too much “girl boss” type energy that’s just cringe and way played out.

This is a good game, but fell short of the wonder I experienced playing the first one. The controls can be gratingly unintuitive at times - although the flying sections are terrific, so credit due there. The climbing should be more refined for a game of this generation. Some side quests and challenges have extreme difficulty spikes that don't match the rest of the experience. Having said that, hunting metal dinosaurs for their parts remains one of the best gaming loops out there. The combat is fantastic with a ton of variety. Skill tree is deep without being too overwhelming, both capturing Aloy's character while rewarding focused builds. The Monster Hunter-esque job quests of farming creatures for parts to upgrade weapons, sell them to buy better ones, then farm more part upgrades can **** you in very quickly. The story is mostly fine, although there is some retconning in a few situations that overcomplicates things - especially with the ending and the new threat looming on the horizon. Aloy remains a great character, though, and she experiences a great arc of learning how to rely on her friends and share each others' burdens in her quest to save the world. The performances are good all around. RIP Lance ****. Open world is tremendous. Tons to do, looks pretty, varied environments, huge map. The Metroidvania elements would seem forced, but many of the unlockables are tied to big story moments, so it goes down easier. Overall, this is a very good game. A little more tweaking could have made it great. Will definitely play the next installment.

Its pretty decent. IMO its a great sequel. Where the first one dissapointed me in every single aspect but story, the second one surprised me a lot in the gameplay and world but dissapointed in terms of story and side quest were still boring like the first one The gameplay left you with more creativity and options in combat. A great way to explore the world, mounting remained mostly the same but every other option improved such as the climbing. Story was still meh, not that bad and a nice ending but still meh World is beatiful no question and with interesting stuff to explore and uncover

The worst franchise of all time that I have tried to enjoy. The marketing they put into this franchise is mind-boggling. If they put a quarter of the money they put into marketing into making this game smooth, it would be a 10/10.

This is a great game! And also one of the best looking games I’ve ever seen. It’s absolutely insane how this game looks on PS5 (Fidelity). Gameplay is great although it can be extremely challenging, the higher the difficulty. It’s not an easy game by any means and you will die if you don’t carefully strategize first, so be prepared. Some machines can be deadly even after beating the game. The game also has its share of bugs. Some game breaking, some minor. But the game breaking ones can negatively impact the player experience substantially, sometimes. Narratively speaking, the game is good. Not at the level of games like Red Dead Redemption or The Last of Us but it’s good nonetheless. The characters look convincing and extremely realistic and they’ve got their own personalities which is always welcomed. You can tell the we’re working with a larger budget that they were with Zero Dawn. You can reel by facial expressions and such. They look really good. With that being said, it’s not a 10/10 game but it’s still great and a worthy sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn. I also recommend getting the Burning Shores DLC. It complements the game quite well.

What a game! One of my absolute favorite games, featuring an addictive bow combat system. The story is deep and emotional, never feeling dull or repetitive at any point. There's not much to say about the graphics — it's simply one of the most beautiful games I've ever played. Aside from some climbing sections and a melee combat system that could use a bit more refinement, this game is nearly perfect and an absolute must-play title for the PS5!

Horizon Forbidden West is a visually breathtaking open-world adventure that builds impressively on the foundation set by its predecessor. Aloy’s journey through the vibrant, post-apocalyptic western United States is filled with lush environments, diverse biomes, and robotic creatures that are as dangerous as they are stunning. The combat system is fluid and rewarding, offering a great mix of strategy, weapon variety, and mobility. The game’s world is massive and packed with engaging side quests, secrets, and lore that enrich the experience. The narrative explores themes of survival, knowledge, and human ambition, with strong performances and cinematic moments that keep you invested. While the pacing occasionally slows down and some mechanics can feel overwhelming, the overall experience is incredibly polished. With top-tier graphics, immersive gameplay, and meaningful character development, Forbidden West is a must-play for fans of action RPGs and open-world exploration.

The game is very good. A very interesting sci-fi history. The gameplay and play style plays very smoothly, but the climbing sessions looks kind of weird sometimes. We have some good side quest as well. I think the game is a bit too long and there's a lot of side activities so becames a kind overwhelming, but a skip most of it, so you made your fun.

Perfect sequel. Décima Engine is magic. The game is more deeper and profound than the first one. Can’t wait for the 3rd (and final?) Game.
