Une très belle expérience, un jeu captivant, une histoire bien ficelée, le défi est présent, les décors splendides. J'ai passé un très bon moment.

What an incredible experience. This is an amazing introduction to the world of VR. I was blown away by the sense of immersion and the beautiful locations, machines and creatures. The climbing and the archery feel so different, yet both are engaging and fun. This is such a fun focused experience. I loved it and I'd love to see more.

This is my very first VR experience and I must say that I am truly amazed by it. It really is awesome I have no words for it. The immersion is impeccable!

Wow. The entire horizon franchise just blows me away! I fell In love with zero dawn, the Frozen wilds, forbidden west and the burning shores, and call of the mountain is on the exact same level of perfectness! I literally can’t describe how much this world means to me, and it will forever stay in my heart!️

A brilliant showcase of the extent and capabilities of the psvr2, while there is a lot of climbing, there’s no obvious path, leading to an effect that keeps you out brain ticking over even while out of combat

Very excellent game to try the PSVR2!!! I really enjoyed and I'll get the Platinum Trophie. The only problem is that the history is really boring and the gameplay is repetitive.

CotM is not the perfect VR game, but damn, it's still such a terrific showcase of the PSVR2. What is it missing? Main fights are in arena, where you can move only in circle. So it's missing free moves, and since you KNOW when a big fight is going to happen, there is less tension the rest of the time. There is quite some climbing, yes, but I never find it really boring. The mura effect is often a bit too visible, especially with distant landscapes. The game is maybe missing a special mode to have more replayability, the shooting game isn't really enough for that. I can add some little details, like no vibration in the headset itself, being annoyed at times by the wire of the headset, but they are no deal breaker. But besides that, everything else is really impressive. It's a very polished game, from the menus to the level design, the weapons, the machines. It's a big game, with massive levels, and very often, you just stop to look around and appreciate the view. Fights are not free enough, but they are intense, and it can be tiring for your arms, you sweat for some victories (but the game isn't too hard honestly). Bosses are often HUGE, it's VR, so they certainly look VERT impressive. It's a much more intense experience to fight them in this game than in one of the flat versions of Horizon's games. It's not a short game, it takes 8 to 10 hours to finish it if you don't rush (11 hours for me). Of course, it's not super long, but in VR, you don't always want to need 30 hours to finish a game. It's very story driven of course, and while the story is nothing surprising to talk about, it's still solid and with an epic atmosphere well highlighted by the music theme. I was surprised to see people saying it's 70% climbing, and just a demo. Even if climbing is an important part of the game (the name says it all, it's an adventure in a mountain, after all), it's not that unbalanced, and climbing gives you such a view on the terrific job of level design. CotM has its own style and character, for sure, and it's well integrated in the Horizon universe. It's not that short, and some of the views in the mountain are just breathtaking. If you don't stop at times, turn around and say "holy f...", then you are surely not easy to impress. So yes, it's not the perfect VR game, it's lacking some freedom, but it's a very solid AAA beautiful to watch and play VR game. Great job Guerilla !

Went into this expecting the worst after seeing some poor early comments (climbing simulator, etc etc) but as long as you don’t expect a full horizon game in VR, this is a fantastic adventure. I loved it so much I got the platinum.

It gets 10 for the experience alone. It's true that's its mostly climbing, but you'll find visuals and atmosphere immersive and breathtaking at times. It's sad to see many score this game a 0; their comments on top are just pathetic, more so because its clear so much excellent work has gone into making this game

This is main reason to buy PSVR2. Best looking VR game, ever! Controls are spot on, there is a lot things to do, a lot to manipulate, to check out. Fights are intense, feeling of living and breathing world around is breathtaking. Sure, there might be a lot of climbing (but with great controls and amazing graphics it's a welcome feat) I just wish there was a bit more RPG elements, but as it is right now, game is a lot more accessible. So, overall, it's a must have for every Horizon fan, and for PSVR2 owner.

Must buy for people who own the PSVR2. Story is good, the game looks amazing and it's fun to play.

This game is truly the PSVR2 experience at launch despite how short it was. The gameplay feels realistic, the story is fine on it’s own, the trophies are a nice balance between collecting, the story, and the challenge, and overall, it’s a great way for the VR2 to start off slowly but surely so far.

visually this might be one of the best looking game on any VR so far, the music makes you feel a sense of wounder about the history of the what happened up in the mountains but the story is a bit lackluster, the game play is a bit repetitive but fun never the less.

This is the most beautiful game in the early days of PSVR2, and none other even comes close. There are several different tools you can use for climbing which keeps it from getting too stale, and the plot is decent.

Finished in 6 hours, I don't think it would be replayable, only died to the final boss and climbing

I bought Vr2 call of the mountain bundle because I'm a huge Horizon fan for first thing, but I wanted to see the potential of the new Sony Vr. New technologies like eye tracking or haptic feedback also on the head, are very immersive, and embrace the player bringing in the future world created from firesprite with guerrilla. When you you are talking about vr games I think the market, generally, has a prejudice, so if you're considering even a 10/10 game, you'll find always someone has to say something to, lowering the real feed from the users (to whom like complaining for everything). This game represents the potential of this vr, and the springboard for future developments. The combats are very brilliant, like almost if you're really fighting, climbing is a very real way to face the mountain, allowing you to observe the panorama..Many interactions, many objects, many things purposely placed to. I liked very much story, and even the secondary objectives. Graphic is awesome like the environment built. I suggest this for whom would want to try the vr mechanics approaching this type of experience.
Very great Guerrilla, I love it!

It's a boring very limited tech demo. It doesn't have much in common with the actual Horizon games. Also it's definitely not a system seller or something that could convince anyone to spend $550 for PSVR2.

Basically a climbing simulator. There's no open world style exploration like other Horizon games. The combat is one note. Seriously, most of this game is just awkward climbing simulation. The graphics are fantastic. But graphics with nothing else of substance to back it up is not worth buying.

First experience on the PSVR2 and what a game to start with! Really showed off the capabilities of the headset. Great story which felt really authentic and fun gameplay! GOOD: Graphics Combat Depth Intense BAD: Too much climbing
Challenges could have been more imaginative

Not a full and long Horizon Game, like Zero Dawn or Forbidden West but still not bad. it is a AAA-Production and you can see it and it is also expansive for a relatively short playtime. another good thing: it is a colorful and for the most part it is a brighter game, so the mura-effect does not affect this game as much as others (but it is still not invisible!!!). sadly it does rely on sony's reprojections technique, and it seems like that sony's reprojection technique does not work as well as expected, because it is very visible and it should not. sony reprojection implementation is much more behind compared to asw from oculus. so this game is harder for the eyes because of ghost images (for example: move your hand in front of you or strafe sideways) and this can cause eyestrain and sometimes even nausea. probably, psvr2 games will always fight with some motion blur because of "persistence blur" (thanks sony, f... hdr). if a much more powerfull ps5 pro comes out, the reprojection issue should be solved, because it is not needed anymore, but this is wishful thinking for the future ...

This is my first VR game so I have no VR games to compare this to. However, I was immediately shocked and delighted by the quality of this experience. I felt like I was on an amusement park ride only with no line. Everything looked and felt AAA. This is the high bar that other games need to meet. The gameplay itself is fun and simple. You climb. You shoot arrows. You craft items by literally putting them together. The enemies are no cake walk. My one gripe is that in the middle of battle, I can get stuck in the crafting screen. Maybe have different back locations to pull different ammo from. Full disclosure: I am prone to motion sickness and I paced myself. I played the 8 hour story in 1 hour increments. The game has clever ways of dealing with motion sickness. Climbing feels like you are pushing the terrain away from you. Walking requires arm swinging and the movement helps. (I tried to pretend walk but kept getting off center.) On rails actions will narrow your vision so you feel like you are looking at a big screen and not messing with your brain. Dodging and turning are “snap” motions like teleporting. After a month of playing with VR, I feel a lot better about VR and this game. No doubt that VR has its drawbacks. My living room has the bare minimum 6x7 space for VR. I would love a VR room like Troy and Abed’s Dreamatorium. The PSVR2 works with glasses but I recommend you buy lens inserts for it. I wore my smaller spare glasses with a glasses strap to keep them from falling down. I had to crank the PSVR2 to my forehead to keep the lenses aligned. A beautiful game like Horizon gets ugly without proper lens positioning. The lenses need constant cleaning. I keep a lens cloth nearby. VR is also expensive. Of all my PlayStation friends, I am the only one playing PSVR2 games. Horizon makes the most of the tech. If you are going to spend money on VR, this game is a must buy.

It is not perfect and far away from beeing that but it is a good and solid game that shows the power of the PS5 and the quality of the VR2. 40% less climbing and for that 25% Quests and 25% fights and double the time and the Game would have been a 90++. All in all a must buy in my eyes even for the 70€ but within the Bundle it was 50 and thats totally okay.

This game is a slow burner, I found the pacing was slow in the first half of the game but by the end I was really enjoying it. The combat sections are great fun, and the world around you is worth experiencing in VR. The story is forgettable unfortunately. It’s not perfect, but it’s a fun game and definitely worth playing.

Very casual, the most important things are very short (like the fighting), it is a techdemo, not a game... Sony want to convince people to buy PSVR2 for this games? Very sad. And I am very sad too. :/ Buy this on hard discount only!

I wanted a AAA adventure game with my PSVR2, and Call of the Mountain delivers that in spades. There is a lot of climbing, but the game keeps it engaging by layering new tools and mechanics through the 8-10 hour playtime for the main story. I find that climbing is most engaging if I play while standing up, using natural turning within my VR playspace rather than turning with an analog stick. However, there are many accessibility and control options depending on your preference and tolerance to VR. While combat is only ~10% of the game, it is thrilling and engaging whenever it arises, with several ammo types at your disposal. What other game allows you to confront a house-sized machine at full scale with a bow and arrow? There are about ten different machines the game allows you to fight, sneak past, or flee from, sometimes throwing three or four of them at you simultaneously. It's in these hectic situations that I appreciated the game's restricted (circle-strafing) movement during combat, as there's already plenty to think about. The diversity of stealth, chase, crafting, and story elements elevates this above a simple climbing simulator. Words can't capture the thrill I felt at being chased through ancient ruins by a giant machine, or climbing my first Tallneck in person. And yes, the game is absolutely gorgeous throughout, particularly for a VR title. The main downside is that the game is fairly short. The main story took me about 11.5 hours the first time, but you might finish it in closer to 8 hours if you don't spend as much time gawking at scenery and cave painting as I did. I haven't platinumed the game yet at ~15 hours of playtime, but I doubt it will take less than 20 hours to do so. The game is also fairly easy; I only died three times, and none of these were in combat sequences. I do hope a Hard Mode is added eventually. Lastly, the game is reprojected from 60 to 120 Hz, so there is some visible ghosting (double-image) for fast-moving objects close to your face or while smooth-turning. I found it easy to ignore, but your mileage may vary. I would fully support if Guerrilla and Firesprite would add a Performance Mode that runs at 90 Hz native but with reduced environmental detail. In my opinion, Horizon: Call of the Mountain is an absolute essential for anyone with a PSVR2, especially if you enjoy linear story-driven AAA adventure games and don't mind a bit of a workout. Fans of the Horizon universe will derive especial pleasure from experiencing this world at full scale, and there are plenty of cameos and lore tie-ins throughout that made me jump for joy.

This game lives up to the hype. The world concept and art are some of the best I've seen in a decade, and the performance optimization is nothing short of miraculous for a startup company founded to make this game. The gameplay is also a well rounded FPS action game that is reliably fun.

Yes, there is a lot of climbing, but I enjoyed that part of the game and thought it was worth it for the breathtaking views you get. The combat is exhilarating but I did think there was a lack of weapon variety, especially compared to all the climbing tools you get.

I really wanted to love this game as I'm a big fan of the series, and while I did enjoy my time with it, there is way too much climbing, which gets old very quickly. It's a shame as the combat parts are fun but too fleeting and a little bit too easy. It is a very pretty for a VR game though, so look no further if you're wanting to show off your new PSVR2.

With Horizon VR a dream comes true. The chance to step into this incredible world in VR is almost too good to be true. But holy, it is true! Guerilla Games did make such an incredible job on Forbidden West already, they are my most loved game developers in the world. I'm so thankful they made possible something special like this.

A lot of climbing and shooting arrows. 70 Euros for a seven hour game is too much. I wouldn't buy this game again.
