Hail to the Rainbow isn't for everyone. If you're used to map markers, hints, and autopilot, you'll get stuck on the first puzzle and curse everything. But if you're yearning for atmospheric adventures where the world speaks to you in the language of details, not dialog boxes, then pick it up without hesitation.

I played through the game with great pleasure, it brought me to tears in places... I made a couple of videos and while editing them, I again admired the work done frame by frame. An incredible guy, all by himself, made such a recognizable, such a close-to-the-heart portal to childhood... Lots of references to pop-cult phenomena. I especially praise the variety of tasks. (I played Atomic Heart and Cyberpunk from a similar game, I love them, but there are a lot of similar and repetitive mechanics) Everything is balanced beautifully, there is no stuffiness for a second.. Words cannot convey the feeling after completing it, it’s both sad and pleasant. The game is truly Great, in my opinion. Thank you man from the bottom of my heart for the dopamine

Hail to the Rainbow is an absolute blast; a well-crafted, single-developer achievement that puts some AAA studios to shame. The perfect optimization, great narrative, gorgeous aesthetic and visuals, and beautifully cohesive art direction create a rich post-apocalyptic atmosphere that blends story, scares, music, and audio into something memorable. The game may be linear, but exploration remains rewarding, featuring clever puzzles and a consistently engaging pacing that kept me captivated throughout. Difficulty feels fair throughout, with bosses that can be challenging at first but always come down to discovering the right trick or mechanic, making each encounter satisfying rather than frustrating. Overall, it’s an indie masterpiece for me. I highly recommend and rate it a 9 out of 10. Bravo, Sergey Noskov!
