I really wanted to enjoy this game. I collect Funko Pops and love many of the franchises represented in the game, and fully expected an experience at the same level of quality as the LEGO games. I’m also surprised that given the popularity of the Pop Yourself custom figures, the game doesn’t have any kind of character-building feature. Unfortunately, I can’t really recommend this game, you’ll probably find it as frustrating and disappointing as I did.
Unlike the actual figures, your enjoyment of Funko Fusion isn't just going depend on whether you like the franchises or characters that made the cut. You have to be a fan of the constant backtracking and revisiting of worlds needed to unlock the better secrets. You need to be forgiving of some of the faults in the combat system. You also have to be fine with this being a strictly single-player game and patient enough to wait for the complete online-only multiplayer experience to be available. If you are, then you'll have fun with the game. Otherwise, you might want to wait to see if patches smooth out some of the existing issues.
One thing I will proudly share about my experience is that, although the game heavily relies on licensed IPs, most of which I was already familiar with, it was Umbrella Academy that stood out. It had been on my watchlist for a while, but thanks to playing in the world of Funko Fusion, I was intrigued by the characters and the universe, and I ended up watching the entire series. I’m now a fan so I think the job they set out has been completed. For this reason and the extraordinary work that 10:10 Games has done since launch, my Funko Fusion score is more positive than first expected, and the current state of the game is recommended for sure.

Amazing. I'm not sure why this game has got lower ratings especially when it fills the space Legos game have left. This game is not for your serious shoot up fans but for adults like me that love fun gaming like Lego games used to be. I also love the different franchises, which makes it far more interesting.

Fun-loving, colourful and jam-packed with a random selection of well-known franchises, I really wanted to love Funko Fusion. Indeed, there's a lot to like, and exploring its worlds (and finding its absolute mass of collectibles) is plenty enjoyable enough. It just puts too much emphasis on combat, and fighting your way through hordes of enemies time and time again soon gets tiresome.

Even with the frustration of the near absence of an obvious collecting element, Funko Fusion is essentially an average game in terms of both its combat and exploration mechanics, although it does offer some good adventurous passages. Its biggest problem is a certain identity crisis, with questionable choices of franchises having little to do with each other and complicating the establishment of a cohesive tone for this project full of potential.

Funko Fusion is ultimately boring, with an overly long mission structure, bland gameplay elements, and a story that comes across as pointless as to why this mixture of characters is interacting.

Funko Fusion throws everything it can on the wall with the hope that something sticks, but unfortunately for the developers and the audience alike, nothing is left on the wall after the first couple of hours. Funko Fusion is fast-paced, action-packed, and colorful, but it also lacks identity, is shallow, and is not appealing

With repetitive puzzles and monotonous battles against the same eight enemy types over and over again, Funko Fusion is a prime example of how raw nostalgia can only carry a game so far. While there are plenty of characters to play as, and the art style is inoffensive, Funko Fusion is ultimately an experience that's best avoided unless you're a diehard fan of Universal properties.

Cynical doesn’t even begin to describe such a poisonous display of IP leverage. There’s something actively nasty about the thing. It’s a reminder that creativity is not owned by the creators, it is imprisoned by the least creative among us, those of us who force others to dance but can't carry a tune.

It feels like a modern version of Lego dimensions but with the **** of having to waist more money on playable characters, and the figures they did make for the game are optional dlc!

Of course, there's always room for improvement and you can see potential here but some glaring issues with the games oddly high difficulty, obtuse progression, and some technical issues do hinder things. Overall, I have been having a fun time but won't lie about the issues.

I enjoy this game a lot but on release it seemed only half made and how half of the characters they add need to be paid for. This game is still very buggy and I do not know if I will return

I was really looking forward to this game and was trying to have some fun with it, but there were a lot of bugs such as frequent frame drops and stuck some places, so it was very difficult to continue playing. The most urgent thing is that I wish there were checkpoints. If you accidentally get stuck in one of the corners, you won't be able to get out, and you'll end up having to make a choice all over again from the beginning. I progressed quite a bit, but due to a glitch, I entered the building and couldn't get out. In the end, I had to start all over again, so I decided not to do it today.. Also I wish they reduce gun reload time too. I've played for about 35 hours so far, but I'm still on the 3rd stage on the 2nd basement floor, and I'm so angry that I'm trying to restart because of this glitch, so I decided to write a review like this. I was really looking forward to it when I pre-ordered it, but I am very disappointed. I wish they made games with more passion PS I couldn't progress in the boss battle, so I had to repeat the game from the beginning about three times. Then I looked it up on Google and found that many people were experiencing the same symptoms and that the solution was to delete the game and reinstall it again. I've reached the limit of my patience
