EctoPlaza is a simple and wonderfully crafted couch multiplayer game. All of our complaints ultimately boil down to the fact that we just wish there was more of it; much of this game is ripe for expansion and feels a bit unfulfilled as a result. That being said, what is here is a joy to play, and we would recommend it to anyone who has a group of friends that still like to get together from time to time for a game night. Ectoplaza does a great job of offering a competitive and easy to pick up multiplayer experience, and it's one that no social Wii U owners will want to miss out on.

Ectoplaza is a great couch game with friends (or even your own children) - super easy to pick up and play. Matches are quick lasting just a few minutes. Gameplay involves a cool fling / sling shot ability. It creates some interesting strategy and frantic games. Graphics are colorful but a bit boring as are the levels. But what is there works and is easy to get into. The crown jewel is the sports game included where you try to hit a beach ball into a hoop. The game mechanics play well into this mode and it is a lot of fun. I would have cored higher but no single player or bot mode which is disappointing. But for $8 what is there is great!

It's fun to play. I like the soccer-ish mode and my son prefers the free for all battle mode. There's no main game, but at that price you can't really expect fun multiplayer and a fun single player campaign so since the multiplayer is fun we really enjoyed it and have no regrets about buying it.
