Dungeon Siege II: Broken World
60
Broken World does offer everything an expansion should, after all: new game elements, new characters, tons of content, and fan-suggested tweaks. But, somehow, it still isn't all that much fun. The only conclusion to draw from this evidence is that the base game isn't very compelling in and of itself.
Broken World brings a couple of welcome new features to an already good game, but the short campaign and lack of compelling content will leave you feeling disappointed.

If you really crave more of that Dungeon Siege II action, you'll definitely find it in Broken World. The problem is, you won't find enough of it to last you more than two or three days.

Worth Playing
As a stand alone release Broken World doesn’t merit anything more than a bargain-bin purchase.

PC Gamer UK
Broken World feels cheerless and sloppy compared to its glossier parent, and the fact that it even exists, so long after DSII and so resolutely aimed only at folk who've played that to death, is something of a mystery. [Nov 2006, p.92]

Total Video Games
Additions such as the re-emergence of the Dwarves as a playable character class will be welcomed by gamers disappointed by their omission in the main game, and the extra spell classes at least widen a player's armoury.

PC Gamer
Broken Worlds doesn't offer enough new gameplay to interest anyone other than the most dedicated "Dungeon Siege" fans, and its once-innovative engine now feels clunky and no longer looks impressive. [Nov. 2006, p.98]

Game Revolution
Unfortunately, this expansion fails to add any worthwhile new gameplay mechanics or modes (multiplayer, anyone?), proving that some worlds are harder to repair than others.
