Dread Hunger is a fantastic Social deduction game, putting a lot more emphasis on survival, which makes its gameplay more interesting. With nobody feeling left out of the fun, the hours can fly by without you even noticing. It's by no means perfect and has quite some bugs, but its premise is executed flawlessly.

Dread Hunger is marketed as far more… well, dreadful… than it actually is; instead of being forced into a psychologically tense situation with 7 other strangers, I found myself laughing at the ridiculous situations we consistently ended up in. White the Northwest Passage may be frigid, players can slowly warm up to Dread Hunger and all it has to offer with addicting gameplay that’ll make it hard to stop even after playing the day away. No longer do Frostpunk and Among Us pass silently through the night; Dread Hunger mixes elements of both together that’ll have even the pickiest of players come aboard.

The game has a tutorial that contains a half-completed storyline. The multiplayer mode is competitive between 2 teams: Thralls and Crew. The game also contains a lot of accessibility to achieving victory, especially for Thralls. Which also gives less innovation to Crew. *There is a large percentage of Chinese players compared to the rest of the players*

Con la supervivencia y la acción, el título se destaca de otros juegos que siguen la temática inocentes vs impostor; su sistema de crafteo y roles diferentes para cada jugador da pie a partidas interesantes y muy divertidas si jugamos con amigos. Desgraciadamente, la situación de los servidores hace que los usuarios que solo puedan jugar de manera online les sea prácticamente imposible entrar a una partida. Cómo mínimo, debemos saber inglés. A pesar de ello, si tenemos amigos que también tengan el juego, es un título que vale la pena probar gracias al potencial que tiene para que inventemos nuestras propias historias. With a game like Dread Hunger, some may feel that this death system hinders the core objective of the Thralls, while others may feel that it forces them to be more creative in dealing with other players and focus on turning the crew against each other rather than rely on brute force. Similarly, the crew may feel like there is too much to keep track of or they may feel like the gameplay loop is encouraging and rewards creativity. Ultimately, Dread Hunger is truly a well-thought-out and brutal game that feels novel in its execution, but its difficulty and gameplay loop may not be for everyone.

Dread Hunger has a solid premise, but whether it’s a good time depends almost entirely on the people you play with. The survival elements are fun, but the social deception mechanics are where it’s at. Dread Hunger has some built-in limitations, but its theme and setting help it stand out from other games in the genre. Whether you’re trying to maintain order or create chaos, Dread Hunger will put your ingenuity and acting skills to the test.

While Dread Hunger aims to freshen up a rather burnt-out genre due to the likes of TTT and Among us, there isn’t enough reason to keep playing over and over again. Roleplaying is moreso encouraged than required, causing games to get repetitive quickly. Not only that, but the lack of story leaves this game ending on a disappointing note, especially since it immediately promises that it will play a key role throughout the experience.
