Maybe not a 10/10 game, but I'm rating it so high because I'm having tons of fun with it. I love the art style, I love the cool main character, I love how it plays and how thight the controls are... I love metroidvania and this game is really great for me. Absolutely recommended.

Chimera Blade is an exceptional action game, delivering everything fans love from Team Ladybug: smooth movement, a dynamic attack system, and the signature MP and HP regeneration mechanics. It’s a massive improvement over their previous title, Record of Lodoss War, and stands tall alongside Touhou Luna Nights. The pixel art and design are absolutely stunning, making it one of the most visually impressive games in the community. The dynamic bosses, despite being just pixels, feel alive thanks to their engaging movements and ideas. However, the game’s difficulty, especially with the bosses, could be a bit more **** story is fresh and compelling, with intriguing twists and well-developed characters that keep you hooked. And let's not forget the music—it’s simply phenomenal, adding so much to the overall experience. While some might find it a bit frustrating that the game isn’t a full Metroidvania, I actually think the choice to structure it more like Metroid Fusion, with unlocking new areas via simple keys, works well for the sake of storytelling and accessibility. Overall, it’s a fantastic game that manages to capture the best elements of action and exploration while offering a rich narrative."

Gameplay was good, I recommend changing the button layout right off the bat. The default setting is pretty bad. Also, most of the game is pretty breezy, but holy crap did they make leveling up, and better gear pretty much useless for the true final boss. Literally 2 hits and you're dead. WTF? Still good though.
