At $9.99, Return to Castlevania is the most expensive DLC for Dead Cells yet, but it is substantial enough to be worth it. The new areas are a ton of fun, and the number of new weapons and costumes is hefty enough to add extra value to the game. It might not hit as hard for those who don't have nostalgia for Castlevania, but even then, the extra biomes and boss fights are pretty darn great.

Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania is a fun and challenging action-platformer that will stimulate the part of the older gamers’ brains that loves nostalgia, while teaching a new generation that a 2D game can still be great, even in 2023.

Return To Castlevania integrates into Dead Cells without distorting it, proving to be a heartfelt tribute and well placed within the flow of the main game. Fans of the Motion Twin title will find in the DLC the dynamism that has always distinguished the basic experience, plus new stages and exciting boss fights to overcome with equipment never seen before. However, given its harmony with the original adventure, Return To Castlevania is also a good starting point for those who, perhaps fans of the Belmont saga, want to get closer to Dead Cells: they will thus find themselves faced with the most complete version of one of the most magnetic , fun and challenging Rogue-Lite on the market.

Return to Castlevania is an obvious and great mix between Dead Cells and Castlevania. This new DLC is a great tribute to the Konami historic video game saga. If you already a Dead Cells player, you will obviously like playing with all the new toys Motion Twin is offering and if you never played Dead Cells but love Castlevania, now it's now or never to try out this incredible Roguevania.

After playing through Dead Cells' Castlevania DLC for a little over an hour... Goodness me. This game deserves all the hype, all the love, and all the praises. The return to castlevania DLC is basically a side-story for the game, and i love it for that. The core experience is mostly de-attached from the dead cells base campaign. Exploring through the world of castlevania? with dead cells' presentation? a new rendition of classic castlevania soundtracks? Incredible. Just incredible. 10/10

Great levels, great bosses, and the possibility of more Castlevania that isn't **** machines? Who are these people and what have they done with Konami

Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania is a very welcome addition to Dead Cells that is a lot more than just a simple fan service. Both games are combined in a perfect way, and you can really feel the amount of passion that the developers have with Castlevania when making this DLC. The stages have glorious visuals and the iconic soundtrack from Castlevania is reimagined through some delightful remixes on Dead Cells style. The new weapons make combat very powerful and exploration of Dracula's castle very exciting. I very strongly recommend it.

A gorgeous, fantastic, addctive, and memorable love letter to the classic Castlevania games, especially Symphony of the Night. Everytime this game is mentionned is a big win for me.
