Baba Is You is like a compilation of gift shop brain teasers; they’re not for everyone, but some people can’t get enough of them. And while it may sound like just another sketchy smartphone game, it’s surprisingly one of the most unique puzzlers you can find on the Switch and the way in which it encourages you to break its rules and create your own ones is refreshing and unique. Its sudden difficulty spike and lack of a hint system could easily discourage some from continuing, but if you enjoy a good brain teasing, you could easily spend hours getting lost within Baba’s puzzles. Just make sure to take a break or two, or you may forget which Baba is you.

Baba is You is a delightful puzzle game filled with absurd solutions and situations, asking players to discard what they think they know about games to solve them.

Baba is You is among the most seriously arduous games of its kind I’ve played, and when its rules are clear and its instructions legible, it’s gratifying in a way only hardcore suffering can be.

This is simply the best puzzle game. Certainly the best puzzle game I've ever played and one of my favorite games ever. The levels brilliantly point you to the solution and introduce new concepts naturally. It's clear that the developer put a massive effort into each level design, creating an overall beautifully tailored experience starting with the most basic concepts but always introducing and exploring new concept after new concept, sculpting your mind into a new thing entirely. Before playing this game, my top 10 favorite games did include any puzzle games. It was all shooters and RPGs. This game showed me what a puzzle game could truly be. That's how good it is. For those willing to explore the depths, there is a massive game with various hidden secrets. Have we even found them all? Literally all of my friends did not even reach the halfway point of the game. But even then, they all enjoyed it up until they hit their own personal wall. There is a difficulty to this game, but that just creates an immeasurable satisfaction when finding each solution. I guess you could say it's the dark souls of puzzle games in this way. Playing this game was religious experience. But you may find each new revelation to be a lonely experience as you climb above the walls that your friends cannot. Prepare to have your brain tested. Completing the game will increase your IQ by solid 42 points and your brain will swell up trying to fit within your skull. In summary, puzzle games are not for everyone, but if you are a fan of puzzles then this will blow you away in the best possible way.

I love the presentation of this game, the visuals and the way you solve puzzles, the only issue I have is either this game gets difficult very quickly or I'm just a dumbass... I think it's a bit of both.

Became too complicated for me. Maybe I'm just an idiot but there wasn't any hint mechanic so, once I hit a roadblock, the game just unplayable

Does nothing to teach you anything whatsoever about its mechanics. Brilliant idea, but utterly wasted behind truly obtuse and frustrating gameplay. Literally one of the most frustrating games I've ever played. Bar none. This is the definitely of a heartbreaker -- I really wanted to like it. Instead I despise it with every fiber of my being.
