Armadillo Run is one of the best PC games I've played in a long time.

Armadillo Run is more charming and a better puzzle game than "Pontifex," but it doesn't quite recapture that same magic. Even though it's a very different style, the same rules applied and the novelty of the physics has worn off a bit. Quite frankly however, when those are the biggest complaints you can lay at a title's feet, you know you're dealing with a special product.

Engrossing - if you enjoy building things, this is a must. [Sept 2006, p.104]

It's extremely subjective if you will like it. It does what it does well, it simulates actual physics with a relatively good toolset, but if you are not into that kind of thing you might absolutely hate it at least after a few levels. Since I got bored of it within a few levels I'll give it a 7, but your mileage may vary, it may be a 1/10 to you, it may be a 10.

This brilliant physics-based puzzle game has the power to turn even the most ardent science hater into a budding Brunel, Eiffel, or Dyson. However addicted you are to slaughter or strategising AR will seduce you, I guarantee it.

It's a game that's precisely as ambitious as it needs to be. No plot. No anti-aliasing. No in-store cardboard standee. Just you, a physics engine and an armadillo. [Sept 2006, p.96]

You're limited by a strict materials budget on each puzzle, but the solution is limited only by your imagination, your passion for tinkering, testing, and rejiggering, as well as your tolerance for roughhousing an innocent armadillo. [Nov. 2006, p.120]

The game does a wonderful job of showing how cool physics is, especially with the more elaborate puzzles, and it’s fun to see the marvelously ingenious solutions that players upload to the game’s Web site.
