This game was incredible, the world and exploration are arguably one of the best in AC series. In my opinion, this game is less of an RPG than Odyssey and the best RPG entry in the trilogy. The story is great and the combat is very fun and enjoyable. This is probably my favorite Assassin's Creed game. I absolutely recommend it.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is one of those games where I had a genuinely good time overall, but also constantly felt exhausted by how much unnecessary stuff it throws at the player. At its best, it has an engaging story, beautiful world design, and a really fun Viking atmosphere. At its worst, it feels bloated to the point where the game almost fights against its own **** story and Eivor are honestly the main reasons I stayed invested. Eivor is a strong protagonist, and the mix of Viking politics, alliances, betrayals, and the Hidden Ones storyline kept me interested for most of the game. England itself also looks incredible — the landscapes, snowy Norway sections, villages, forests, all of it creates a really immersive atmosphere. You can tell Ubisoft put a huge amount of effort into the **** combat is also pretty satisfying for a long time. Raiding monasteries, dual-wielding ridiculous weapons, and storming castles gives the game a very raw, aggressive energy that fits the Viking fantasy **** man… the game is just too **** because the main story itself is bad, but because the amount of filler content becomes exhausting after a while. The world events start blending together, and activities like Cairns, Standing Stones, artifacts, flying papers, and anomaly puzzles eventually feel more annoying than rewarding. This is actually one of the biggest criticisms people had with the game online too — a lot of players felt the map became bloated with repetitive side content and overly stretched **** Cairns especially drove me insane at times. What should’ve been a calm little side activity turns into fighting physics for ten minutes straight. Same with some artifact hunts and standing stone puzzles — cool a few times, then eventually just repetitive interruptions slowing the pacing down. That’s the frustrating thing about Valhalla: underneath all the bloat, there’s a genuinely strong game. The main story arcs, certain emotional moments, and the overall Viking atmosphere are really enjoyable. I just wish the game respected the player’s time more instead of constantly stuffing the map with unnecessary distractions.Overall, I’d still give it a solid 6/10 because when it’s focused, it’s really fun. But it’s also one of the clearest examples of an open-world game becoming too big for its own good.

It started off on a good note, promising and a bit fun game, but it got too repetive after without much plot developed till the later parts. This would've been fine if it still had some fun or exciting aspects, but it didn't.

It’s so boring I really can’t finish it. So you can take my review with a grain of salt but I’m sorry it’s so uninteresting and the gameplay is absolutely awful.

About a 6.6 because the game gets very repetitive with the map. I lost interest with the story pretty fast because I could not remember what happened in the story itself. But, the setting and it’s realistic choice of the physics of how brutal the killings could be.

The game takes WAY too long, and there really weren't enough fast travel points in it. Often the closest fast travel point would be a good kilometer away from the objective.

AC Valhalla starts off promising with some welcome improvements over previous titles in the series, like streamlined gameplay mechanics, better ui, and a less cluttered map. At first I genuinely enjoyed the raids, but eventually realized how copy pasted the cycle of bandit camp looting started to feel and ultimately how there is nothing new or innovative about it. The graphics are stunning but you're probably better off just sticking with with Odyssey, which has a more interesting story, characters, and open world content.

This episod is a boring one in the AC story: the story itself is quite boring, the side quests are not interesting and the characters have no charisma.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is a massive, stunning sandbox that excels as a premier "time-waster." The Viking setting is atmospheric, and the freedom to explore England at your own pace is genuinely addictive, earning it a solid 9/10. However, the "Ubisoft formula" is reaching its limit. While the combat and world-building are top-tier, the repetitive loop of clearing regions and chasing map markers is starting to feel like a chore. It’s a fantastic experience, but for the series to stay vital, we need a bold evolution. Let’s move past the rinse-and-repeat design and embrace something truly fresh next time.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is a bloated, repetitive grind that mistakes size for quality. The world is huge but empty, the story is padded beyond reason, and the combat quickly devolves into clumsy button-mashing. Worst of all are the controls — easily the most atrocious part of the entire experience. Inputs feel sluggish, parkour is unreliable, and combat responsiveness is inconsistent. Instead of empowering the player, the game constantly fights against them.

This franchise needs to decide between being Assassin's Creed games or historical fiction games, cause trying to blur the line is doing more harm than good. For people who wanted to play a viking, they will be disappointed to learn that you cannot have any lasting impact on the world and the present day keeps interrupting the fun part. For people who want more from the over arching plot line between games will not enjoy what is relegated to the background for them or the fact that you don't play an assassin.

I'm a fairly big Assassin's Creed fan. Have been since the first one, and I adored Odyssey. Spent a full 100+ hours in that world. This one fell flat in every way. Suffers from the same story problems as Odyssey, this is not really an AC game, it has nothing to do with any of the AC stuff, none of the original gameplay mechanics, stealth is not only optional, it is unnecessary, and every encounter amounts to rush in and slaughter a bunch of people. It is not only repetitive, but boring and unrewarding. I'm at level 220 or something and I'm still being rewarded with worthless junk. I don't need to explore, except to grind I guess. I mean, the world is pretty enough, but the hills of England are not as pretty as the isles of Greece, it's just not. This game tried to cram everything into here. ALL of the collectables, a base building mechanic, parrying and fighting overhaul, climbing and jumping minigames, puzzle minigames, hunting monsters, hunting the order, building relationships, and then 50 hours in I'm given a roguelite game and told to start grinding there for no discernable reason. All the while, the main story line is boring and uninteresting. Can I say the game has too much? Especially, when the key elements simply aren't there, this game tries to be all the things, and I after a solid 80 hours I didn't feel close to finishing and I was bored. I didn't want to be in this world anymore. Very disappointing entry after how much I loved Odyssey.

This game was great except that it shouldn't be an AC. This game should've been a stand alone Viking game rather than an Ac. I think they made it an AC because it would sell more and the players did ask for a Viking game. The story was dragged on and long as **** took about 180 hours just for the **** story WHYYYYY!!!!! the side quests were also repetitive and long as **** too, some side quests took like 2 hours again.....WHYYYYY!!!! not everything needs to have long play times. Stop doing that ubi **** man. Otherwise, it was decent, but it was so long and repetitive for just play time that it destroyed this game.

Repetitive to nausea, horribly written, generic and super super short side quests, particularly woke designs and characters which are also caricatures without any depth (there is not a singular woman that looks or dress like a woman, they are all girlboss warriors, this is beyond historical inacuracies, that is laughably cringe, but I guess having any femmininity is not progressive enough for them or something). The game is also literally offensive towards both scandinavians and brits for how horribly they rappresented their history and culture, I cannot think of a historical game less acurate than this, almost everything is wrong and based upon steretypes created by Vikings and other tv shows. The progression is pretty bad, I never changed armour my whole game, maybe also because I got the deluxe edition armor from the start, but still it is ridicolous to ruin your own game balancing for something like that (I bought the deluxe just to have the DLC). England was already the setting for Syndicate, I would have wished to see more of Scandinavia, but in this game they could not afford to have a singular original idea so they copied Vikings even here; also early medieval England has 0 charm, they lack the wood culture rappresentation and instead they use generic bricks for everything, they lack the was farmed fields and the dark scary forests that kids in middle ages heard stories about, even the Valhalla is shallow with the most un-epic generic rappresentation, this game is truly SOUL LESS. Only good thing is the combat system, it is fun but it is also so easy that the stealth becomes useless (I played at max difficulty).

The graphics are nice and the gameplay is very good but to be honest the only downside is the Asgard story arc. The shift from being an Assassin, finding the Codex, and raiding villages to dealing with overpowered gods just felt like it didn't fit the story well.

I'm giving this a 3 and Ubisoft can be grateful for it! I loved this series from the very beginning but this was like watching mould form in real time on dirty mug. Ubisoft have somehow taken Vikings and secret organisations battling for control of alien/god artefacts and against all probability made it boring. I have tried and failed twice to get through this game, and I just can't bear to pull myself through a third attempt, I just can't, I have too much to live for. In this games favour the graphics are beautiful and Saxon England does look very pretty as does Norway at the beginning, problem is after the grandeur of Origins and Odyssey it begins to look very bland, very quickly. That's the good point summarised and now on to the bad points: Side quests can't even be named as such, literally talk to an NPC then walk a few meters up the road and kill random dude/pick up thing and come back. The main plot is dull and repetitive and has little or nothing to do with Assassins vs Templars (Order of Ancients). Forging alliances? Just go to city, talk to leader, solve leaders problem in 3-4 mid length boring missions then do that another 8 times until you die of bor--- I mean, until you reach the games exciting conclusion! Even the Viking raids become a wearisome chore, and what do you get for the trouble of plundering all of these monasteries you ask? Building materials to build your settlement! What does that settlement do you ask? NOTHING, much like the average town centre in real life it just gets marginally bigger and has a few more shops and people getting in your way. I mean I think is speaks volumes about a game mechanic when you can pay your actual hard earned money to buy these building materials in one go and get the settlement built quicker. Lastly the ISU stuff has just gotten silly now, I love Norse mythology but this games Asgard and Jotunheim sections were so tedious and boring. My advice? If you want a good game based around Norse mythology pick up God of War or God of War Ragnarok, if you want a good AC game pick ANY of the previous instalments over this one and save yourself 100s of hours of boredom. I may pick up AC Shadows after this but if I do I will just read a summary of the ending to Valhalla first.

The story wasnt anything special or new, and not worth 50+ hours. Combat and skill tree was fun. Beautiful visuals, but world felt quite empty at times. The order was a cool concept, but each order member felt quite underwhelming when you finally eliminated them.

Assassins Creed Valhalla for me personally, Scratches the itch I have to play an overly saturated open world game. This game by no means is a 10/10, it’s not even a 9/10 and giving it an 8/10 is purely down to personal preference. I have friends who don’t like this game because they find it overwhelming and a massive grind, which is why I personally like it. I find the grind of finding every nook and cranny enjoyable, you will spend countless hours raiding villages for materials and upgrading your homestead and gear. This was actually something I really enjoyed. The story is alright and I quite enjoyed seeing our main protagonist’s character development through out the game. Play it if you have the time and enjoy Ubisoft open world slop, if however you hate those games, probably don’t play it.

A decent enough Viking simulator, still doesn’t feel much like an assassin game. Combat is okay, with it not really having quite the punch you would think. The story is extremely long and bloated. It could have benefited from a bit more of a focused/shortened narrative.
