Deals heavily with with Alan just trying to survive against hordes and hordes of enemies. The story while interesting was brought down by tedious, repetitive and constant action.

if you enjoyed playing though the main game, then The Signal is going to be a welcome expansion to the adventure.

It was amazing. I loved it. It adds to the story, makes the lore bigger. One of the best game series.

A very okay-ish dlc. I still loved it. It was okay for a one time playing. Had fun.

Horrible DLC. I very much liked the base game Alan Wake and wanted to play the two DLCs, but you can definitely skip the signal. Added nothing really to the story, just walking through old levels while Alan is going mad in the dark place. Really bad dlc. The second one though, the writer is much better and i would highly recommend it!

Reall, really bad - excatly what not to do with a DLC.
- Add more enemies
- Maze like levels
- Precious locations reused
- adds 100% nothing to the story It took me around 40 minutes to finish on "normal" and it was artifically padded in the above mentioned ways. Perfect example of how NOT to do a DLC. Completely pointless. Will never replay. Fight the TV indeed.

This is the worst DLC. To the point it makes me almost hate the base game. Just a literal asset dump. Feels like something an amateur would throw together with a content creation tool. This whole story is just terrible and pretentious. Kind of done with Alan Wake. Yeah, yeah, yeah, light and darkness....like bad high school poetry.

Completely useless DLC that ads nothing to the story and it also has the hardest encounters with enemies which quite frankly annoyed me.

Original game was one of the best games regarding story and gameplay. This 1st DLS doesn't have anything of this. It doesn't have story at all. Everything become just survival shooter. Hope next DLC would be better.

Great DLC, it's intense and challenging and it gets you to understand what happened after the incomplete ending, it's just a great addition that keeps scaring. Sure, we have already done most of the things in the main game but this DLC brings new stuff that you haven't seen. You should really get this DLC if you loved Alan Wake just like me.

This DLC was a complete waste of my time and money. I loved the game. I thought it was fantastic but this DLC just ****. Sure it adds more story (just a little) but a game should have more fun gameplay too. This howevere is the most incredibly dull DLC i've ever played. Don't worry about any jump scares because there wont be because youre told ahead of time exactly what happens. There is very little combat and what combat there is, is meant to be avoided. You will spend a good majority of the DLC just shining your flashlight on words. That's the opposite of fun. It drags on too. Trust me by the end of the dlc you'll be so bored you will either quit or be begging for the end which just seems to never come.

The first dowloadable Alan Wake DLC, which comes free with new copies of the game, is an intense and satisfying DLC. You continue where the game left of. You will se new strange places and meet new enemies. The DLC is not exactly long, its between 55 minutes to 1h and 10 minutes. But its just perfect. You will find out more about the darkness in this DLC to the game that in my opinion shoud be GOTY 2010. A 9/10
