There is alot to unpack with this game. Its pure RE fun but more nonsensical compared to most. Ethan Winters is a great character put in a horrible situation. The massive play area and different places to discover hit many themes. From being stalked through a castle, entering in a nightmarish mansions basement, the only lack luster part which was the lake and the BOW factory. This game has plenty of content and plenty of hidden areas and hidden bosses.

Honestly one of the best Resident Evils to date. The story is solid RE fare and the new character ****'s be real is precious and needs to be protected.

The game is and honest to goodness frustrating joy to play. The story is off the wall and to actually put all the pieces together you need to read the files. If players do that the story flows incredibly well.... though I understand why most dont. The gameplay is a shooter with mid rpg elements. There have been people I know who have actually gotten motion sick from playing this as well. So consider that a fair warning.

One of the best stories in gaming. The use the light to weaken the enemies was honestly unique and welcome. The characters were all incredibly well done. If I have a complaint its just the facial animations. Though it doesnt hold the game or break the immersion.

Deals heavily with Alan Wake just trying to keep his mind together while trapped in the Dark Place. The story is very well done but again it feels like the devs relied to heavily on wave after wave of enemies to push it along.

The game all in all was good, story was interesting as well. Though at the time made me realize Alan Wake 2 was nowhere in sight. With the added blow this story wasnt canon but a "what if" scenario.

Exactly what I was hoping it would be. Plays like an updated larger version of the original game. Graphics are great and most vocations are great.

From a time games were simple yet still profoundly fun. Wouldn't expect an incredible game but plenty of enjoyment to be had slaughtering Orks.

From start to finish Alan Wake 2 goes from slow burn investigative sequences to pulse pounding survival horror. The game is a masterpiece of modern gaming and criminally underplayed, just like its prequel. The graphics, production value, characters and story are honestly second to none. I look forward to watching the story unfold.
