Jfc. 3 hours of summer camp training missions with your buddies was before literally anything actually happens was certainly a way to start the game… that want an origin story, that was pandering.

Repetitie Combat. Bad AI in gun fights. Nice style and story. Graphics... nice but not great.

I want to start of by saying i never watched any of the Bond movies, so i came into this game knowing nothing, and holy hell it did not dissapoint! As a big fan of the modern hitman trilogy, witnesing that type of gameplay and idea of world building being implemented so masterfully in the world of 007 was unbelievably fun. All locations are vastly different from eachother which was GREAT. on the negative side of things, story wise, super predictable, all deaths plotwists were just obvious as hell from the get-go. The bossfights where really underwhelming, just gimmick hell basically, but overall unbeiavably fun for those just wanting a good time and not a deep story. Higly recommend either way.

The NPC AI is shockingly poor. You can kick open a door, briefly appear directly in front ****, or have a fistfight just two metres away, and nearby NPCs often fail to react or become **** should be far beyond this kind of artificial behaviour. In a modern stealth-action game, NPCs should respond convincingly to suspicious sights, loud noises and violence occurring around them. These reactions do not require revolutionary generativ AI just a properly designed awareness and alert **** current behaviour feels like something from the PS2 era, and it seriously damages the realism, tension and immersion. In 2026, especially during an AI revolution, NPCs this oblivious are simply unacceptable.

Diving in an assassination world....(no, no, sorry, it is not Hitman), is much better than him.
The gameplay's mechanic, with bare hands and guns, was a great combination through the story missions.
This game is not about going and kill,l the enemies, it makes you thinking and finding new opportunities to eliminate your target using last tecks and surroundings.
Also the characters were chosen succesfully to meet the gamers demand.
I encounter only some little bugs, such as Bond remains in a wall trapped or sometimes game lag when a lot of gunfire, enemy appears.
Overall I recommend this game to every age.

This is slapstick Bond. Think Batman the TV series, applied to James Bond the movie. More The Living Daylights Bond than Casino Royale Bond. Everything feels half-baked and undercooked. Hell, I’d rather Gordon Ramsey’s Bond than this! And the story…..corny and cheesy to say the least, with some cringy dialogue sprinkled on top. I can only think the script writers must’ve written the outline and then taken the rest of the time off. Given it to the underpowered AI to finish, for it is poor. Or maybe the AI just gave up also.

Visually stunning, but falls short in valueVisually, the game is absolutely gorgeous, but unfortunately, it struggles to keep things interesting. The mechanics quickly become repetitive, and the shooting mechanics feel way too arcadey. At around 18 hours to complete, it feels far too short—especially given its full AAA price tag.Overall, it’s a solid average game, but hard to justify at full price.Rating: 6/10 (Solid Average)

I genuinely felt like I was in a James Bond movie, not just playing one. The game never punished me for how I wanted to play. Whether I chose stealth, action or a mix of both, it always felt right. The action was a real highlight for me. Punching, throwing, blocking, running enemies into walls, throwing weapons at them and using the environment as a weapon never got old. It all felt so satisfying. The story felt like a true James Bond story. I also loved how it kept changing. I was surprised by how many different locations there were, and every one felt unique. I loved every part of it. There’s only one game that truly makes you feel like James Bond, and this is it. I just hope this isn’t the last one.

I’ve been a James Bond fan since my father introduced me to the original films. Gibson nails the charisma and emotion as JB. The visuals are beautiful. Stealth and combat are top notch as you’d expect from IOI and the overall story is great. The driving parts leave something to be desired, it as an overall great package that sets the bar for future installments. I hope those arrive sooner rather than later.

I played James Bond First Light on PlayStation 5 Pro, and as someone who has always enjoyed the James Bond franchise, both through the classic films and most of the video games, I had a really good time with **** has been a long time since we had a proper James Bond video game, and First Light does a good job of bringing back the feeling of the franchise. The story uses many of the classic Bond ingredients: conspiracies, betrayals, high-level tension within MI6, varied missions and a strong spy atmosphere. At times, it really feels like playing through an interactive Bond movie, which works very well for this kind of **** gameplay feels natural and enjoyable. The game moves between platforming, stealth, action and driving sequences, which keeps the pacing fresh. The vehicle sections are also quite fun and add some welcome variety. I liked the way the game constantly switches between different types of gameplay while still feeling coherent.Visually, the game is more uneven. Some scenes look really good, with nice environments and strong cinematic direction. However, there is also some clipping, textures sometimes appear late, and a few visual details lack polish. It is not a major issue, but it does prevent the game from feeling technically excellent.I finished the game over a few evenings, playing sessions of around one and a half to two hours, and I genuinely enjoyed the experience. It is a fully single-player, cinematic adventure, and honestly, it feels good to play something like this without competition, online pressure or multiplayer systems. That being said, replay value is quite limited. Once finished, I did not really feel a strong reason to start it again immediately. It is more the kind of game you may replay years later with some nostalgia, like rewatching a good action **** is not game of the year material, but it is a very enjoyable experience and a successful tribute to the James Bond franchise. A solid and entertaining return for Bond in video game form.

If not for a few weird bugs that break immersion (one enemy running in a small circle, another bugging between cover positions, an odd animation from a follower, etc.) and sometimes-stupid enemy AI (with 15 enemies, some of them should rush me lol), I'd give this game a full 10/10. It's like Uncharted if you were a spy. Such a great game! It deserves 9.5, IMO, but a 9 is what I can give it.

The only downside in my opinion is the butter faces of the overall look. Animations can be better. Enemies are mostly good but there's something lacks of it, gameplay-wise. Overall, great story, characters, dialogues, interaction, gameplay (IO definitely used their Hitman background greatly and therefore this was a perfect opportunity for them for sure)

The first James Bond game in years and IO interactive absolutely nailed it. It has everythhing you can expect from a Bond game, action, stealth, bluffing, gadjets. It is a mixture of Uncharted and Hitman, and the story is different from any other Bond film and it has such great characters.

The game is quite linear. Don't expect a Hitman experience. The game is good, at least for the first few hours. Think of it as an Uncharted/Tomb Raider game. However, a major drawback is the complete lack of voice acting outside of English.

"I played the new 007, 'First Light'. I got up to mission 12 out of 17 and just dropped it. Baldur's ruined other games for me. The fact that the game is so 'on rails' means you basically only choose whether to get past enemies by fighting your way through or using stealth. Nothing else you do matters, nothing else changes the game. That Uncharted-style 'adventure' formula just doesn't work for me anymore. And it's a shame, the script is cool, the graphics are awesome, but I don't feel like I'm really participating; I feel like a sidekick."

It really feels like you're watching a movie while playing the game. The story was also dramatic and deeply moving—I really enjoyed it.
However, there isn't the same variety of strategies as in *Hitman*, and I felt like the developers didn't fully capitalize on their strengths.

Rezension: [007 First light] – Ein starkes Fundament mit Agentenschwächen

I have not been so invested in a 007 game since Agent Under Fire and GoldenEye, but this? This just does it for me. This isn't just a game. This is 007. This is James Bond. YOU are James Bond. The agent. The playboy. The debonair. Many games go for that "feels-like-a-movie" vibe, but IO Interactive puts on a master class performance with this production. Celebrity cameos from Gemma Chan, Kenny Kravitz, etc., immaculate world building taking you on an international espionage-laced journey, beautiful women, beautiful set pieces, iconic gadgets, nods to cinema, the Lana Del Rey opening number, etc. Everything about 007 First Light is what James Bond should be. Not to mention how well written and portrayed every character is. Whether they're as brief as Cressida Bright or as extensive as Greenway and Moneypenny, and of course, Patrick Gibson's James Bond, everything feels valuable. Looking forward to making different choices and taking alternate routes that I didn't in my first playthrough, because this game encourages replayability, and so do I. My second 10/10 this year, and well deserved. I hope Hollywood sees what myself and many others do. Patrick Gibson is worthy of taking on the role of James Bond on the big screen.

This game is my personal favorite of 26’, the graphics are so good and the visuals are stunning. I would compare the gun combat a lot to uncharted and GTA, but the melee is very new and it’s own deal. Something about being able to smash enemy’s over edges and into walls is so satisfying. The narrative is also very good with emotional moments. I love this game as a modern take on Bond and a whole new experience on the PS5.

Bought this game because of all the hype and overwhelmingly positive reviews. Unfortunately, I regret it—honestly, I’m still frustrated with myself for falling for it.I expected something like a refined “Hitman” experience set in the Bond universe. That’s not what this is. Nothing here really stands out as better. The graphics are decent, but that’s about it. The story isn’t terrible, but it’s far from engaging. It follows a very typical Bond formula where the villain is always closer than you think, but it never manages to feel **** gameplay is extremely basic and, frankly, not enjoyable. You’re given almost no freedom in how to approach missions. Everything feels linear and restrictive. Even compared to Uncharted—which isn’t an open-world game—you feel significantly more freedom there than you do in First **** AI is disappointing, easily worse than what you’d find in most Hitman **** of the most frustrating aspects is the gadget system. The watch mechanics feel tedious, constantly forcing you to recharge it using random electronic objects scattered around. On top of that, collecting chemical products adds nothing meaningful to the experience. It feels like unnecessary filler.James Bond is supposed to have a license to kill, yet about 75% of the time you’re forced into hand-to-hand combat. It gets repetitive very quickly.I was already bored after 15 minutes, hoping it would improve—but it never did. After spending $100 CAD, I honestly feel misled. It makes me question how genuine those glowing reviews really were. Amazon has a lot of money, and it’s hard not to wonder.Verdict: Don’t buy it. You’ll likely get bored fast.

Not THAT good. A mix of Hitman and Uncharted that only succeeds in wanting me to play those other games. The Hitman-esque open world sections are far too narrow and guided, completely losing the feeling of endless possibilities and replay-ability of the most recent trilogy. Uncharted style puzzle sections feel like a slog, not particularly challenging, and slow to get through simply because bond is locked at a snail’s walking pace. The hand to hand combat is fun, but once you get a gun, it’s too easy to simply headshot everyone, making you completely ditch the melee/gadgets. Even on Hard mode. The resources system is painfully frustrating, and On multiple occasions, I found myself aimlessly walking around the map looking for chemical or electronic resources to get past a certain part, and at some points even restarting checkpoints to get my resources back because you absolutely need certain gadgets to get past certain parts. It all disincentivizes the use of gadgets in a very frustrating way. The story may very well be the saving grace of the whole thing. While not mind blowing, the core relationships are solid, and I found myself empathizing with a more characterized and fleshed out Bond than often appears in the films. However, I am extremely bored with the aesthetic of high tech capers like this. The magic and fun of bond are the cheesy gadgets, the over the top villains with often times ludicrous plans. With such a grounded story, I found the central plot to be very typical of any other espionage franchise following corruption and technology. It may be a contemporary take, but it doesn’t exactly feel as fun as the early films. Uncharted 4 came out a decade ago. Same with the first Hitman remake. It’s remarkable to me that this game feels regressed from these by a fair amount. I feel the hype has a lot to do with the character and our hunger for simple, single player adventures like this. The basis is here, I just hope the team sees this first entry as a launchpad for sequels that can match or surpass the level of it’s inspirations, instead of feeling like a watered down mixture of them all.

Dissapointment - more Hitman than Bond - and as a whole too polite (no romances, bond's symbols not properly use) and boring - I was expecting a more cinematic atmosphere

I think the most redeeming quality of this game is the overarching narrative. The wider plot contains thoughtful political intrigue, smokescreens, and espionage. Despite this, I think the writing falls short in the moment-to-moment aspects as it focuses on the more superficial connections and the sarcastic adolescent quips that are poorly delivered throughout. You know what they say about sarcasm, right? If you don't, then fear not, for you will certainly come to know by the end of the game, as every character has sarcasm woven into their DNA!Additionally, the narrative greatly struggles with pacing, with the initial third of the game moving too fast and final third being slow as molasses. This impacts character relationships, perceptions, and value. Gameplay is a major weak point for First Light. From melee combat, to gunfights, to driving, to stealthing, it is done at a sub-par level. The gameplay aspects have been executed in one of the most uninspired ways possible. I am sincerely disappointed because there is literally nothing that has been refined nor innovated upon. The enemy intelligence is lacklustre, the NPC behaviour is dumb as bricks, and the set pieces are dull imitations. -Melee combat may be crunchy, but it is underwhelming and bland. By the 2nd or 3rd mission, you will already have seen all melee combat animations/combos, stealth takedowns animations, and enemy types. By the 4th mission or so, you will have experienced the only unique fighting style and situation. Where is the refinement and/or innovation? They could have taken ideas from many different enemy types from the likes of Batman, God of War, Elden Ring, Spiderman, Dishonored, Uncharted, Mad Max, Assassins Creed, Yakuza, and I am sure a plethora of others. -The state of melee combat is compounded by a few things. As mentioned earlier, the FOV being far too close makes for a frustratingly claustrophobic experience. At times it can feel worse than Elden Ring, and even then, you can give that game a pass because you are slaying behemoths. -More often than not, fisticuffs take place in tight spaces with no lock on. No lock on is not that big of an issue, but it can get annoying if the camera is uncooperative. -Immersion breaking ‘stealth’ takedowns. No choke holds or neck snapping. Straight up, judo tossing or smashing faces into inanimate objects before throat punching or face smashing. Crickets. -Reloading chemical weapons with hand sanitisers……would be funny in a Johnny English video game world. Not here though. -Guns lack oomph. Faster to dispatch enemies hand-to-hand. Aiming feels shoddy too. -Poorly implemented cover system. Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Uncharted, The Last of Us, all do it better. -Clunky and erratic movement. Inconsistent jogging to sprinting, cover to cover does not feel smooth, Bond suddenly jumps up like a gazelle and sprints. Transitioning cover to cover in gunfights is also poorly implemented as you can be stuck in crouch mode. When sprinting during gunfights Bond’s agility skyrockets. -Forced walking sections with no auto walk or hold to walk. Decent graphics and wonderful use of lighting. Nothing outstanding here though. Optimisation is not up to scratch but that is an industry wide problem. Smoke grenades and driving fast really tanked my FPS and caused stutters. Poor audio design in my opinion too. During combat set pieces the music is over-powering and combined with explosions and such you can barely hear the dialogue. It really is a bit of a racket. There are also times during stealth or investigation where there is no music at all which feels off. A ridiculous amount of platforming that is nowhere near as exhilarating or visually impressive as other single player games like Tomb Raider and Uncharted. -Level design was talked about having multiple approaches, but these changes in approach are so small that it doesn’t feel like it at all. If you have experienced top notch level design from franchises like Deus Ex, MGS, Dishonored, Splinter Cell, and Prey then you will be thoroughly unimpressed here. -Bond is not charming at all. They keep saying he is, but the game suffers from not showing just telling. Nathan Drake would actually make a better Bond. -Greenway is a miserable git. Berates Bond whenever he can and shushes Bond for no reason during missions. Even after you find about his ordeal, you really do not warm up to him.

This game has triggered all my emotions so far. Sadness, fear, angry, etc. This game for my own personal opinion and so far it's my #1 game of the year 2026. I know, the game awards don't pick this really good games as the GOTY but, I am pretty sure they will nominate it for something. This is a masterpiece as Ghost of Tsushima, Ghost of Yeti, Red Dead, Yakuza Kiwami, etc. The kind of story game that is in my top of the top.

Oh my goodness god,This game is sooo good i cant believe Hitman developer were behind this.Crowded area feels so immersive and each stage/area for stealth is crafted perfectly.Story,Narratives,Shooting/action/car sequence, area to explore,E.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g.I'm at a loss for words.Definitely One of the best action adventure game available right about now.Feels like watching the best 007 movies except you can control/move Bond around freely.Just do yourself a favor and play it brothers,i mean it.

It's great! It's only weighed down by the slog sections where you feel the Hitman inspiration (Sandbox areas where you have to eavesdrop and get certain things). I put the game down whenever I had to do one of those, but I was thrilled again, once they were over. I do get why they were there, it was just a bit overused in my opinion and did drag the experience down a bit. Loose a bit of the Hitman roots and an eventual follow up could be one of the best games I have ever played. I've seen glimpses of that game in here, but it needs a bit of more polish. The combat system is awesome, the actors are great, stealth is smooth, there is a lot of good in here! Edit: Also I think it's more of a 50€ game, not 70€.

This game brought back a feeling I honestly thought I’d never experience again. While playing 007 First Light, I felt like I was a kid sitting in front of my PlayStation 3, completely immersed and excited to see what would happen **** many modern games focus on being bigger and longer, but this one focuses on being fun. Every moment feels carefully crafted, and it never forgets that games are supposed to be **** captures that classic action-adventure magic I grew up with while still feeling fresh and modern. I found myself smiling throughout the entire experience because it reminded me why I fell in love with gaming in the first **** you miss the era when games were simply unforgettable adventures, don’t miss this one. An easy 10/10.
