Highly addictive game. It's fairly simple while gradually adding features as you get used to it. It's a learning curve, but I'm having a lot of fun in the process.

Best FF I've ever played in my life (FF6 being a close second). It's huge, the maps are phenomenally good-looking, the animation is top-tier and fun, emotional, engaging. There's a ton of stuff to do, not just mindless slashing and button mashing like FFXVI. Clearly the developers of this game are passionate fans who care about the players and the lore. Chef's kiss!

The Outer Worlds 26

Radio music is good, dialogue is good, graphics are...colourful, but other than that, it's just another pew pew with guns and click different options based on traits. This was already done in KOTOR, we get it Obsidian! Fallout New Vegas was cool, first Outer Worlds was a nice escape from the traditional Fallout style, but anything new please? This game will be liked by young players, but for the rest of us 30+ guys, it's just a lot of the same. Uninstalled before finishing.

Not bad for a remake, not bad at all. This game has truly terrifying moments, and it jump-scares you all the way to the end. If you think you're gonna run around and shoot yourself out of tough situations, think again, you'll be trying to make every bullet count because ammo is very scarce. Maybe one or two extra monsters wouldn't have hurt. The recycling kinda gets old in the third act. As for the story, they stuck to it fortunately, and the graphics build the sad atmosphere that our protagonist finds himself in more and more as the game progresses. You can feel his trauma and guilt everywhere you look. Bravo Konami!

Pretty good. Clearly it's the same writer since Max Payne, and it's really cool that they're trying to build up their own universe, bringing back previous voice actors from other games, connecting dots, story-wise it's pretty artful. It's just that sometimes it gets a little too ambitious and convoluted, while being vague at the same time. Are we going for a Lost here? Who knows, this isn't the last game in the franchise. For what it's worth, it's a huge step-up from the first game.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl8

This game builds up on everything the first offered and then some, and I played through it without getting bored but...I ****'s ****? There's so...much...walking, and most of it is back and forth the same road just because you need to restock, sleep, get food. Mutants chew up bullets and you also gotta consider the max weight you can carry. A car would've been nice, or some fast travel that didn't cost a fortune. This game has peak moments, but the lows are very low, so it's confusing to rate it fairly. Graphics are good, combat is challenging, the world seems empty but is constantly throwing hazards at you if you get too comfortable. I may be wrong, but often times it's way too obvious that the skeleton of this game is all the previous dated games, with a splatter of modern looks. I guess I was expecting more after such a long time, but given Ukraine is literally at war and the Dev team had to relocate, it's incredible this game came out as good as it is.

Not as good as SH2 remake, and not very well optimized. The Japanese culture is always cool to explore, and I had to ChatGPT some folklore to better understand the atmosphere. But nothing else caught my attention. The story is meh...same ol' SH concept. You fight your inner demons, traumas, fears in the form of real monsters, the places you visit are just in your head, yadda yadda yadda. It's at least challenging enough and short enough to keep you engaged until the end without begging for this game to be done already.

Such a breath of fresh air in a time where every game is just a mindless pew pew with guns. I find it hard to find something that I hated about this game, but if there's any con to point out, I'd say the requirement to reach the true ending really tests your patience at how many runs you need to repeat, which is why it's a 9 for me. But other than that, I love everything, the music, the graphics, the combat, the story, the dialogue, the **** the anime art is just...they knocked it out of the park.

Hollow Knight: Silksong10

This game is a masterpiece. From music, to atmosphere, to complexity, to combat, to story. Everything meshes together perfectly. Might be too difficult at times, but once you master it, the satisfaction reaches Dark Souls hights. It took a long time, but in the end it was worth it.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 3310

I mean...this is what you get when a handful of developers care more about the craft than catering to modern audiences, and yet this game is very modern while bringing back everything that made games fun and heartbreaking back in the day. From Soul Reaver to Final Fantasy to Dark Souls to The Last of Us to the Witcher, this game is one of the greats. Imo it's the best game of this decade right up there with Elden Ring.
The ending presents a genuinely difficult choice, and both endings are incredibly relatable.
It's just sad that the only way this game was made was by people who left a big company, instead of the big company making the game itself a lot faster.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League4
Aug 31, 2025
I go out of the Justice Hall, a pride flag hits my face. Then I fly around the city, another pride graffiti. Campaign was pretty fun, good cutscenes, good acting. Horrible jokes, Batman represents toxic masculinity apparently. Then I hear the co-founders of the Batman trilogy left the company before the game was finally completed. I can see why it's in such a sorry state.

Life is Strange: Double Exposure4
Aug 30, 2025
So I begin the game by walking around an abandoned building, fine. Then we cut to a bar where I'm forced to get a date with the female bartender (which gladly I can flat-out friendzone). So Max is canonically gay now? Why? Because there was an option to kiss Chloe in the first one? I walk around the bar, 2 pride flags thrown in my face as soon as I turn the corner. Cut to the terrace, I can read Max's phone, I read her conversation with her parents and notice she doesn't respond to several of their messages, then texts Safi that her parents are **** her about having grandchildren, AND THAT'S WHY SHE DOESN'T REALLY VISIT ANYMORE??? I also checked the game settings, you have trigger warning options for almost everything, drugs, sex, suicide, transphobia, LOUD NOISES. I was done with this game. Also, this is not my Max, same actress, but completely different person. There is only one Life is Strange, the first one. And one sequel, Before the Storm. The rest are just piles of political trash.

I'm gonna be honest, this is my first ever Metacritic game review. But given the huge hype for this game, and the polarizing user reviews (almost 50/50), I feel the need to say something. Why 8/10? Pros: - Graphics. So what if it looks outdated? I'd rather have a game that looks crisp like Witcher 3 and Gothic 3 (2 amazing RPGs even for today's standards) than some blurry, glowy, photorealistic crap like AC Valhalla and Cyberpunk 2077. And whoever says it looks just like DS3 is not looking carefully enough. - Accessibility. Finally we get a map, fast travel from almost anywhere, switchable control schemes, less vague dialogues, quest location aids, dungeon location aids, as many summoning helps as you want as long as you have enough FP, no more health regeneration after enemy retreat, an additional block counter move, far more doable than the parry, item crafting on the go, easy resource farming. Horseback riding AND fighting. Jumping. These are all things that previous From Software games simply did not have. Makes the game so much easier. - Exploration. You can go anywhere and see where you're going, no more fog of war, and reaching places can be done from so many angles. It's impossible to get lost. - Mystery. This game uses your brain, not just your reflexes. It gives you something to do, something to wonder about. Your curiosity is at its peak everywhere you turn. What if that cliff is hiding treasure at the base? Why are there so many monsters over there, are they protecting something valuable? IS THAT CASTLE MOVING? - Fairness. It doesn't pit you against an impossible boss without the possibility to level up somewhere else instead of backtracking to farm the same monsters over and over. Cons: - FPS drops (I learned it's a general problem, not just my system's fault, which means it's patchable. Also, I don't get any FPS drops in dungeons, just outside where you can run away from danger anyway. Those drops are reduced if you reduce the Grass quality, but for now it's a con). - Early stages. You need essential items for levelling up, crafting, item upgrading early on in the game if you're gonna make your life easier. But sometimes it's almost impossible to find them without an online guide. It can get frustrating when you get ashes of war, bolstering items, game hints, but you can't piece them together unless you spend a long time figuring it out. In the end we also want to have fun, not go to Dark Souls college. - Soundtrack. Major downer for me. It takes away from the atmosphere. You had time, this could've been a masterpiece, making exploration so much more enjoyable. I'm really sorry about this one. In the end I hope this review is helpful. I can say that it's a highly addictive game and I can't stop playing it even when I should. Please help :))
